-Cable Flip allows opponents to recover in mid-air, usually with enough time (~5 ticks) to counter-attack when done in a corner.
-fwd+HK is unsafe on hit and can't be cancelled. Makes it kind of useless unless used during Quantum Break/Custom Combo, IMO.
-For whatever reason, enemies hit by Electrap Grenade switch to MoveType=I in the middle of their shocked state, so any subsequent hit doesn't register as a combo (it might also mess up the damage scaling, but I'm not quite sure...)
-Psi-Charge allows opponents to get up with enough time (~20 ticks if you hammer buttons/wiggle sticks quickly enough) to make dinner, heal their wounds, take a nap, then retaliate. Perhaps you could add a custom state to remedy that ?

Other than that, feels pretty solid.

For whatever reason, the LVL3 Team Super doesn't hit fully when done from the left side of the screen. o.o

Lazy hack, will probably not work 50% of the time, infect your PC and mobile devices with dozens of deadly trojans that will make your Internet connection so fast you'll feel like you're going back in time and sing about the websites you visit in all the embarrassing details like a Disney girlfriend.

Enjoy anyway.

huh. technical details aside, that is pretty much the exact opposite of everything I have heard about the game :muh:
I could elaborate, but I'd probably end up typing an entire essay and drawing comparisons to the other Shock games and the gameplay demos. : P

Dishonored : The Knife of Dunwall.
Three new missions, which take place in four new maps and one recycled from the main campaign. Took me ~7 hours to complete my first playthrough, but I tend to play these kinds of games slowly, stalking every NPC and checking every nook and cranny. There's also the same moral system as in the main campaign, which means some decent replay value.
  • Liked :
    • setting, including the tidbits you get from eavesdropping on NPCs or reading notes/books
    • finally some non-lethal gadgets
    • level design (probably the best in the entire game)
  • Disliked :
    • uninteresting story and characters
    • mission modifiers (only two real modifiers/bribes that make the first mission slightly easier, the rest of them just give you more loot)
So yeah, I had more fun than in the main campaign... Unexpected. It still isn't Thief though, but I'm looking forward to the next one.

For some reason (and maybe I'm just cursed), in 1.0, the Genkidama finisher never kills the opponent because the helper gets destroyed right before the last hit.

Works fine in Winmugen though.

The nerf to the IAD is really jarring
Not to mention it doesn't seem to have fixed anything in Goku's case (see NxL's latest vid). Timing doesn't bother me that much though, it's just like Guilty Gear (give or take 2 frames).

Vampire the Masquerade : Bloodlines

New unofficial patch = new (18th) playthrough.  I hate this game so much.

The Witcher.

This is my fifth attempt at completing it, and the story and setting still don't grab me. I will probably rage-quit ten hours in, as usual...

Bioshock Infinite.

In two lines (set your display resolution to 320x240 beforehand) : My innocence has been shattered by this blatant tourist trap. I want my money back.

(slightly) Longer version :
-Good : graphics, music, first hour of the story, setting.
-Bad : rest of the story, characters, general gameplay, setting has no bearing on the story unlike Rapture/Bioshock 1&2.
-Worse : enemy AI, way too linear, no replay value, only a few types of enemies, no challenge whatsoever, not a single puzzle.

Anyways, Project Eternity is looking mighty beautiful.

Looks gorgeous, except maybe for that mist at the bottom of the waterfall. That lighting °^°

I have an urge to upgrade my pledge after seeing that. On another note, I've waited a whole night for them to upload that and no 1080p ? >: (

Interesting... I was expecting a sequel with all the foreshadowing going on in Arkham City.

Sounds good on paper. I like the idea of visiting Old Gotham before it became Arkham City. That bit about the Batwing being a fast travel device kind of worries me though. =/

Mmm... cheese :
  • All Hyper Dimension characters :
    • Ki Blast guard sound plays twice when a Ki Attack is guarded by the opponent.
  • Goku :
    • Infinite (only works on characters who are tall enough) : cr.K > Spinning Kick > repeat
  • Vegeta :
    • Pretty sure that normal > launcher thingy wasn't in the source game. Design decision, I guess ?
    • It's possible to have more than one Aerial Big Bang Attack on screen.
  • Gotenks :
    • Standard Ki Blast can miss some enemies (e.g. KFM) at point-blank range.
    • Rolling Thunder Uppercut doesn't have any pushback (accurate), except in the corner (not so accurate).
    • Jump Kick can be cancelled at any time by pressing A or X.

Fallout New Vegas.
Playing with the lead director's mod. I keep trying to sequence break and getting brutally murdered by a gang of bees in the process. That never happened in Fallout 3. Wow, what an improvement.

Bioshock Infinite.
Played around 4~5 hours so far, in 1999 mode. So far, it's pretty linear, and ridiculously easy since the enemy AI isn't nearly as aggressive as it should be.
Shooting feels light-years ahead of the other two Bioshock games, although it's nothing remarkable. Skylines are pretty cool though. Didn't get into the same kind of hectic battles shown in the E3 demo yet, but I can see the potential.
Nice art direction, unfortunately ruined by the overuse of bloom and crappy depth of field settings (at least, if you don't do some INI editing).
Haven't managed to get into the story yet. The setting is kind of a mixed bag, imo. It looks nice and all, but Vigors don't make much sense, and people still leave audio logs lying around everywhere for some reason. I've also seen NPCs complain about not getting paid enough when there's tons of cash to be found in rubbish bins. They also like to relax at the beach after witnessing the destruction of a massive statue, as if nothing had happened...
Not really digging the new inventory system, and by "inventory system", I actually mean "Elizabeth conjuring health/ammo/mana/cash out of thin air". (pretty she didn't do that in the E3 demo)
Speaking of Elizabeth, you'd think spending your whole life alone, locked in a deluxe jail cell, would make you socially inept. Apparently not. Weird, but okay... Then she throws a fit because I killed armed policemen in self-defence. Alright, I proceed to brutally murder a bunch of innocent civilians and she gives zero rat's asses... Then my game decides to divide by that exact same number (actually, I ALT-F4'ed, same difference...)

I got it for free with a vid card, and I still want my money back. =/

To me personally the game was not plagued by QTEs, in desperate situations where you wouldn't be able to normally control the game anyway (like a slide), sure there's QTEs, but it's not Heavy Rain, they were tastefully placed IMO, was there any particular ones that you found obnoxious?
-Every encounter with wolves, especially the wolf cave, in which you get to "fight" ONE wolf in a QTE.
-The climbing section in the intro.
-The "arrow to the knee" dodge counter. You want to make an overpowered move that requires a certain timing, fine. Don't make it a freaking QTE that pops up every time you dodge an attack.
-The final boss fight.
-Funny you mention the sliding sections, I didn't mind them too much, except for the bits where the game goes into slow motion right before you hit a wooden barrier.

Story is fine to me, it's a survival story mixed in with some supernatural archaeology, but I'm not familiar with older Tomb Raider stories, so what was so bad about it.
In my opinion, the plot is okay for the most part. Not really original and kind of predictable, but it gets the job done, pretty much like every Tomb Raider (at least, the ones made by Core Design).

However, I think the whole dramatic/serious/"realistic" theme of Lara growing into a "survivor" is done quite badly and completely at odds with the gameplay. She's an amateur archeologist with a little practice with a bow (and "not THAT kind of Croft", whatever the hell that's supposed to mean), yet has no trouble aiming a gun and handling recoil like a pro, and is better qualified than a Space Marine Green Beret in survival techniques and dealing with crippling injuries.

Then there's stuff like making a big deal of Lara killing someone for the first time, then leaving you free to mercilessly murder hundreds of guys without ever touching the point after that. Although it has her deal with other matters in a (slightly) more efficient manner much later in the game. Meh.

perhaps you expected too much out of the survival aspect of the game?
Guilty as charged. I was expecting silly stuff like hunger management or hunting/harvesting plants to make health items instead of just extra XP, and weapon maintenance (especially since you're using WW2 weapons). >: P

The upgrade system is okay for the most part, but kind of uninspired. Only one health upgrade that boosts your HP (by 50%, no less), abliities that give you more loot/XP when hunting or scavenging, combat abilities that net you more loot/XP if you kill enemies in a certain fashion... I would have liked a skill tree for each weapon, and more health and/or healing rate upgrades.

Anyhoo, more on-topic :
Sleeping Dogs : Year of the Snake
Fun, but a tidge short (took me three hours to finish the story and side-missions). Like Nightmare in North Point, it doesn't let you import your save from the main campaign, so you are stuck with a pre-determined skill set. The story is pretty uninteresting, no new enemies, and most of the missions are repetitive.
~30 DLCs, including 3 story DLCs, and I'm not sure a single one of them is worth the money. Pity.

Sounds like they took lessons from Hitman Absolution. I have a feeling it will take more than a leaked beta to convince me to buy that game. =/

Tomb Raider (PC version)

Updated impressions from another thread :
-Good : graphics and animations ; audio (sound effects, music, most of the voice acting) ; fun when the game actually lets you play.
-Bad : story ; characters ; skills, hunting and crafting are kind of unnecessary ("kind of" only because Lara doesn't figure out she can use her axe as a melee weapon until you unlock that "skill") ; AWESOME vision kills the exploration aspect ; not enough non-human enemies.
-Worse : "young, inexperienced Lara you'll want to protect" during cutscenes, Terminator during gameplay ; linearity ; hammer the buttons and wiggle the sticks to evade the rapist hobo, a.k.a QTEs ; tons of ammo, health regen, next to no challenge in combat... so much for survival ; hammer the buttons and wiggle the sticks to evade the rapist wolf, a.k.a more QTEs ; tiny tombs with puzzles so complex a gopher with brain damage could figure them out in a matter of seconds.

Scores (out of 5 Bays) :
Action :
Hot girls :
