a WIP I had abandoned... I just edited a few animations to the AVGN char, still lacks the Gethits and a few basics, but it's better than before xD

still need to redo the powerglove, because my new palette and base screw it all

Is this what you happen to be editing:

If this is going to happen, the sprites have to be drawn in a paint program, even MS Paint.

When I'm on Arcade mode, I'm playing along happily fighting other characters, but then suddenly the character moves by itself like an AI. So it's like going from Arcade mode to Watch mode. I realised that the last few buttons I pressed were the arrow keys. The only way to stop this is to move on to the next round, which is pretty boring because I want to fight, not watch or skip.

Omg, has anyone seen this Bulbasaur character? It's rage attacks K.O you in ONE FUCKING HIT. Regardless of how much bulk a character has, this Bulbasaur is ridiculously overpowered with it's rage attacks. It's normal attacks are ok, but it can keep firing razor-leaves and crawling plant roots. Thankfully it dosen't abuse this in AI, but if you get hit by the seed that it shoots once it apparently evolves, your dead.

It evolves into Ivysaur and Venusaur, but wait: after it does it's attack in it's evolved form, it devolves back to Bulbasaur. Isn't that impossible? Also, how could he directly evolve into Venusaur without evolving into Ivysaur first?

Anyway, here's a pic of him performing it's seed attack:

See Knuckles' health bar? That's him getting one-hit KO'ed. A second later, and his health bar will be empty.

God, who the fuck made this.

Kozeni's Bagan. 'Nuff said.

[Bagan is the massive brown hulk on the left, in case you didn't know.]

Wow! Where did you get that? I love Kaiju :)

I'm guessing that's from Super Godzilla for the SNES.
Just Google "Bagan by Kozeni MUGEN." That's how I found him.

I could only find him on eSnips, but I have to log in to my account which I don't have, or I download a stupid eSnips downloader. No worries, I requested him on my request thread.

Metal Overlord from Sonic Heroes. It's not the boss that's hard, but the bloody ringcount is a trouble when I'm trying to maintain super form. So I had to use a trainer to get 999 rings, which I actually diden't want to do because I knew I'd win if I had it.

whoaaaaaaaa! a guy in mugen never heard of the most well known iconic person in all of fighting game history? Now that is simply astonishing! i thought most people from late 80's and on up knew what street fighter was. so i am figuring one of 3 factors. 1. he is from a village somewhere deep in the amazon jungle and just moved to a more metro city, 2. a lil kid , or 3. just trollin . lol nahh just kidding with ya man. but yeah i am just baffled that your in mugen and dont know anything about street fighter.

I'm going to say this one last fucking time, and everyone who says I haven't heard of Ryu needs to hear it.

I have heard of Ryu, I just do not know about him. Nor do I know any of the Street Fighter characters. I have HEARD of them. Not known them, not owning any SF games. The only thing I know about Ryu is what he looks like, what he wears, and even one of his moves (the blue-beam attack thing).

Let's take an example. Let's say you never knew who Michael Jackson was. You see a picture of him, or perhaps footage of him doing a concert. This is you hearing of him, but not knowing him the second you see it. To know, you need to learn. So you go onto Google and spend a few minutes defining who Michael Jackson is. After a few minutes, you should know some facts about him. The reason you looked this up was because you were interested. I, for one, have no interest in Street Fighter. Heard, not known.

You guys are misunderstanding, and hopefully I can make you understand.

I have a few that i did a match against or reference to..

Jirougaki's chars,i mean look at the damage for the projectiles and melee one simple combo could do a instant kill
Guts by OGGY..i hate him,-teleporting hit-boxes, overpowered combos, a sword that covers the whole front-
Z-TON by UMA  it's bad enough that it has a instant kill beam..but teleportation and fast movements too?  :S
Constantinus III by fishbed she's just ridiculous, multi palettes that gives her multi abilities Example-regeneration,barriers,projectile spamming cannons-

I still have more but never mind  :P

I have a Sonic from Sonic Advance, and whenever I try to air-attack the Gigan you linked me to in the Does This Thing Exist thread, he has quick reflexes so he flips so his tail knocks me back. So I can only use ground attacks. Also, when I'm too far, he constantly fires his eye lasers, both long and quick, and slow and short.

These youngsters need to brush up on their history, they've missed out on the classics.

EDIT @PeterFoster: I see Sonic and Knuckles in your sig, have you played their original cartridge titles on the Genesis? A lot of young people who talk to me about them only have exposure to the new (in my opinion lackluster titles) & have never played their initial games. I'm going to make a guess here that you're primarily a pokemon fan, its great that you're getting interested in the MUGEN engine and all but your ignorance to what is largely considered the one of the most iconic figures of fighting games and videogame history in general is equivalent to blasphemy on this forum. Sorry about the negative reactions you've been getting thus far, just know its understandable that people here are justifiably shocked that you haven't heard of Ryu.

I have the Firestar/Blaze Sega Mega Drive model, and Sonic and Knuckles is built into it. I'm also playing Sonic 1, 2 and 3 on an emulator. And yes, I am a pokemon fan. I have Pokemon Emerald and Pokemon Soul Silver.

I have heard of Ryu, I just said I do not know of him. I've also heard of Ken. But I've just heard of these characters, not know the complete franchise.

And I do know fighting games. I even own Tekken: Dark Ressurection, so that's a fighting game franchise that I know of. I've also seen the Angry Video Game Nerd play Virtua Fighter on the Sega 32X.

I didn't say he's Shakespeare, just that this kind of post is good if he's 12 yo :
Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty
Yes, there are some grammar mistakes and typos. but yes it's a long post and no not everybody triple checks his own posts each time.

That's not impressive for his age. That level is about right for a 12-year-old. I don't know why his grammar has impressed anyone. It's normal, especially for one who is familiar with forums, as displayed with this post:

I was originally going to post a video, but I coulden't do attatchments... plus I can't upload this video anywhere else (I hate YouTube)

If you're gonna base your skepticism on what's in his posts, at least do it because of the actual content. I used to post shittily and with horrible grammar, but I'm not a blazing idiot or a 12-year-old. As much as you'd like grammar to be an indication of age, in this case, it really isn't.

He may be a troll, but his grammar isn't the answer. Perhaps the alternate accounts; perhaps the stupid Elecbyte question; perhaps acting as if he doesn't know who Ryu is. I can predict his next topic, but I'll keep it to myself for now.

Just enjoy the forum, guys. Either he's a troublemaker or he's not. He won't be much of a hindrance either way.

The typos are because I'm a fast typer, and either I'm not bothered to correct it or I don't notice it. This may be a surprise, but I never really understood the definition of a troll. The only definition I have is an asshole who causes annoyance to others for no specific reason. Also, I forgot how to spell Elecbyte, so I spelled it in the way I thought it was pronounced (Elect-a-byte) but if it's pronounced Elec-byte, then that's fine by me.

To make the Ryu thing straight, I've heard of him. I've seen pictures of him, I think I even saw a picture of Evil Ryu. I do not know about Ryu. I've also heard about Ken.

Also, as Rajaa said, you can't always judge someone's age by how they write. Most of the time you can. For example, someone who has no avatar, always types in small case letters, indeed has bad spelling and grammar sometimes, and maybe overuses emoticons probably would describe someone even younger than 12, possibly 9 or 10. Speaking of age, when I registered, I did see a check-box that you can agree that you are at least 12, not 13.

To finish off, I'm not a troublemaker for no reason. But when people flame too much, or troll in some scenarios, and generally be hostile, as I've said a billion times, that's when things get heated.

Combuksen glitch

Out of the many Pokemon characters I have, one of them seems to glitch up when they're knocked down. This Combusken isn't of good quality. It's AI is good, it's sprites are good since they're from Type Wild, but the sound leaves a buzz because it's Japanese anime voice is so loud. His walking animation is also out of sync.

But aside from that, sometimes when I knock him down off his feet, his eyes swirl (like all pokemon do when they're knocked out in the anime) but he dosen't get up. He sometimes even rises up to the sky and never comes back, or drifts out of the screen. The red remaining health bar that appears after the yellow one dosen't go away.

I was originally going to post a video, but I coulden't do attatchments... plus I can't upload this video anywhere else (I hate YouTube)

I make a post, someone goes hostile, and that's where it starts.
It's a novel idea, but if you are under the impression that this happens a lot, try to think "hey, what if this was my fault ? What if what I said was actually stupid ?"

There's nothing wrong in saying something that turns out to be stupid, everybody makes mistakes and nobody will blame you for this, but if you make a mistake AND act like a moron about it,  then people are going to treat you like shit, and you'll deserve it.

Your topics are bullshit. Your question about the legality of ShugenDo is incredibly retarded. Your complain that other people should make things for you just because learning to do it yourself is too hard is retarded. Your attitude about who can ban you or not is infuriating and retarded. Anyone who knows ANYTHING about all this would see it at a glance. Yo don't, well, it's not a problem, many people will be glad to explain it nicely. Except if you act like a fucking douche about it and go "SHUT UP I'M RIGHT". The only response you'll get to that is a ban.
This is all YOUR fault. This is your attitude that's a steaming pile of crap. I myself say a lot of shit, but at least I have the decency to be aware of it. You ? All your crap is only going to get you ridiculed at every post, and ultimately, it'll get you banned. And mods will be totally in their right to do it.

Don't act like you know everything there is to know. You don't. And it's totally normal, nobody expects you to know everything. But you are expected to not pull the kind of crap you're pulling right now.

You want something to be done ? Do it yourself. Those people who know how to create stuff, how do you think that happened ? They had something they wanted done, and nobody would do it for them (and that's totally right, because nobody is obligated to do anything for you), well, they learned how to do it themselves. You don't know how to create ? Deal with it. Learn. Everybody learns. You don't have time ? Nobody has time, but they do it anyway when it's something they like. You don't get it ? Just ask, there's a ton of people who would be very happy to help you when you need it with every question you haev, however stupid they may be. If you don't want to do it yourself, well ! I guess you just don't want it badly enough !
Just keep in mind. Your request, your "reasons" for not doing it yourself. Everybody has the same reasons. Everybody says "it's too hard". Everybody says "I don't have time". Everybody says "this makes no sense to me". So how do you think there still are people who actually do it anyway ? They just do it, even if it's hard, even if it takes time. Because they're not whiners, they don't bitch, and they don't act like they know everything when they're fucking 12.

I wonder if you wondered if I would say tl:dr? Because I actually read the whole thing.

Anyway, let's get some things corrected. I do not wish anything to be made for me, but it was annoying when they said "Do it yourself". I felt the urge to tell them that people do not have the skill.

The legality of ShugenDo? It was a poll. People are allowed to have opinions on polls. But look at the board summuary for the engine: it's a replacement. A replacement, not a seperate game, a replacement.

And I'm not acting like someone who says "SHUT UP I'M RIGHT" because that's just childish, especially in all caps. I know that everyone makes mistakes, but I wasn't being a moron about it. I made a post called Overpowered Characters, then people are being hostile and moron-ish.

If I ever write something that I don't know is true but still want to write it, I always put "correct me if I'm wrong" so that I don't get whined at for saying something that's not true when I think it's true.

Also, I do not know everything. I know alot, but I do not know everything. Again, this is being childish. (inb4yousayimachild)

Ok, I'll face one thing: I assumed too much. I assumed that I was going to get banned for disagreeing with the Request rules. After I learnt that I woulden't get banned and that's not how they go, I realised I made a mistake. And I'm happy to accept the fact that I assumed too much and made a mistake. But then I make a post in MUGEN Discussion about Overpowered Characters, say that I don't know anything about Street Fighter, learn that it matters if you know about Street Fighter, and make a Feedback thread because it was so ridiculous. Again, I don't know everything.

Now, could I please just be a typical average poster and just talk about the subjects normally? I do not expect to fit in, but nor do I expect to be disliked by everyone.

The question is not "What should I do for the animation and custom states about getting electrocuted?"

The question is if Pikachu need its own animation and custom states about getting electrocuted in order for the new move to work.

Probably not, since it's an electric type.
