you could even have a goal button, like "if we reach X donations we release the next thing" as long as you are not charging for copyrighted material you are fine.

he is posting your stuff on the auction thread, that means he is fingering you for selling mugen and doing illegal stuff.

 illegal? lmao yea mmk. im not doing anything wrong. people steal my shit and wanna put it up for sale and make money off my hard work? all the time and effort and late ass nights coding and making everything? fuck that. if anyone deserves it, its me. and after 5 years of work i think im entitled to it.

as long as people are selling their own material and works and not someone esles i dont see anything wrong with it at all.


and im not selling MUGEN im selling MY creations. theres a difference. they get the files and install them into the mugen engine.

mugen its self is freeware. and you can whine bitch and moan all you want but Elecbyte or even "mugen" or "m.u.g.e.n" are not fucking legally/officially trademarked or legally copy written. yes they created it, but unless its legally trademarked then there is nothing they can really legally do about people selling the mugen engine. especially if someone came along and trademarked it themselves. bc if its not, its up for grabs.

"ohh but your selling copy written characters" blah blah. um yea and so is every person selling non licensed mk shirts, hats, patches, art, costumes, masks, custom action figures, and so on. i dont see you bitchin or complaining about those people for selling trade marked stuff. selling your own mugen works is no different then printing off a scorpion photo, ironing it to a shirt then sellin it on ebay. and look at how many of those are up on there, and the net in general. if youre gonna try and be some kind of copryright piracy police then go after everyone before pointing your ignorant ass finger at just mugen creators.

the background behind the monks is wonderful. really top notch.
the monks are okay. i just dont think it fits. hd versions of the original would have fit much better.
only thing i really DO NOT like are the replacement of the masked guards. they dont fit in with the theme, and the images are far too large. (their bigger than goro!)

not really. money can never win against money. because money will win. the main reason why this guy's attack against you was so successful - is because no one really won't find your Ninja Kombat anywhere else. sad but true. there is only one way to restore the order and to ruin their gain from your game - fix these year old bugs and release a FREE beta to the people. I know you value your work, but now it's about creepy dudes make money on Your work. releasing a Better version free would be a hard decision, but believe me it will smash their greedy mouths.
you're the author, the editor and the coder. the situation requires you to prove it. so prove it. fix them bugs and release a better beta to everyone. No one will buy a worse beta for money when a real good beta is free. it worths a try, in my opinion.

thats actually what im doing  now. i was never gonna charge for it. the disc thing was just a special thing i was doing for those that were nice enough to donate. yea its my fault he got the game, bc i let my guard down and actually trusted the scumbag. been a good while since weve talked borg. nice to hear from you. and youre 100% right. and im already on it.

only other thing i can think is to get on their forum and let all the people actually giving money for what they can get for free, and let them know theyre getting ripped off.

If you're referring to Shinnox, he does indeed charge for shipping mainly because he figured people would prefer a hard copy. I mean, why would he pay to ship the game to everyone himself? If people want the game bad enough, They'll pay the shipping fees. Anyway, what's wrong with running your own company? You've got to start somewhere. You can't expect to wake up some day and a huge company building would fall out of the sky and then say "hmm, look at this huge company building that appeared in front of me. It's empty, so I shall start my own company and call it... CompanyCo."

 Back to business, soon Shinnox may ditch the whole disc routine and bring Ninja Kombat to the public for free. This was spoken by him on his twitter account. Details are to be announced soon.

and btw, umm, i havent charged anyone for anything. thanks for trying, but dont get shit twisted. ninja kombat IS free. i just didnt have it up for dl yet. didnt want to until it was finished. but for the people kind enough to make donations, i sent out FREE demos. and those ppl get to dl the finished version before it gets made public and get bonus characters and stages, etc. its totally different then what these douche bags are doin. their charging access to the downloads and for subscriptions to other ppls games and creations that you can get for free.

all we can really do is contact his subscribers on his site, youtube, etc and make people aware of what hes doing and hope they dont decide to pay for what you can get for free. sadly there will be some that dont care. but the ones that do count.

theyve swiped my game as well. releasing it as theirs. its funny that they got vids of it up and the guy playing totally blows and cant beat noob smoke. they claim "their" game is bug free, but yet i see some in the vid that have never been fixed. the version they are puttin up for download is almost a year old prolly.

theyve taken quite a few things from me. their even using my banner for the game.

i didnt have the chance to post anything on their forum. as soon as they seen my username, i was banned. but its ok bc i have another account on there. these assholes have got to be stopped. and they will be.

one of them had a youtube account named mrcoyboy2012. who is known as fightersedge or whatever he wants to call himself.

Assuming that Smoke's custom state was/will work properly, its referencing p2's var(54) which may or may not be used by p2. Since theres no guarantee, I suggest rewriting those pieces of code to not use variables.

EDIT: Disregard what I said. I didnt notice the name triggers that accompany them

the var 54 is the character style change var.




Guessing it's a bug caused by Subzero being put into Noob's state while Noob is in Subzero's states. Try putting that state 933 into Subzero and see if it works right. Doing that will see if you're being put into the helper's states(and for some reason 933 isn't there), or if you're being put into Subzero's states.

It's a terrible patch fix for now but it might work if you're making a full game, if it works properly. Mainly it's just to try and fully understand what's happening.

all the chars have the state. thats what is really puzzling about it.



perhaps this is just a winmugen bug in its self?

gonna mess with it some more. and if i cant get it, the only other thing i know to do is make noob un-hittable during that move...or make him turn invisible or something. :wall:

ive already blocked the states out in the cmd file for the ai, so that the ai cant do the star move if sub is in the freeze state, im trying that with the actual commands, but its not working. might have to decrease the time it takes to do the move so noob goes away quicker.

so for sub, i copied state 933, making the new one 934.
then set up a changestate that triggers when a variable is active.

[state -3 ]

trigger1 = stateno = 933
trigger1 = p2stateno = 4003
var(40) = 1


[state -3 ]
selfstate
trigger1 = var(40) = 1
value = 934
ctrl = 1

then in noobs state, i added the same thing but dif triggers

trigger1 = name = "sub-zero by gary fisher"
value = 934
ctrl = 1

actually, noob has that move by himself. (the 3 stars) and it happens regardless if the projectiles come from him, or the helper, i get the same result...:(  just dont get it.

This looks like it's being caused because the players are being told to go to their own states instead of their opponents when being hit by the moves.

First, try adding this to the hitdefs that have "p2stateno" in them:

p2getp1state = 1

Also, add nothitbys to all the helper's states, just to be safe.

Neither may work so let me know if they don't.

i dont think thats the case, bc if that were true, it would do it every time the move is done. its only doing it when these two moves are done at the same time.

its happening when sub is in the ice ball state (and noob is frozen) and gets hit by the 3rd ninja star thats putting him into p1s custom state.

having a weird bug that i cant quite figure out the problem.

the moves:
(p1) noob calls out smoke, smoke throws stars, hitting the opponent....
(p2) subs ice ball.

for some reason, when i do these two specials at the same time, one gets stuck in a loop
(this ONLY happens when these two specials are done at the same time, but when the ice hits first)


PIC A:
the stars hit sub normally, and puts him into the correct state.

PIC B:
stars and ice are about to hit at the same time....

depending on distance and when exactly the players are hit, i get different state errors.

PIC C:
instead of going into noobs state 933, its saying that sub is in his own iceballs state. wtf?
it will also say hes in the "smoke poof" (when smoke vanishes) state...(as seen in PIC: D)

its saying p2 is in the correct state, 933, but gets stuck in a loop with anim 5000


i have no clue whats causing it. how can noobs star, thats putting sub in noobs state 933
be causing sub to go into his own helpers states?? or in noobs??
