Yes they're falling. That's what doesn't make sense. Though there is a follow up attack which launches the opponent into the air (making it 2 hits), but I did take the "F" out of the 4 flags. I even gave them ID and NochainID's.

I'll show you the hitdefs. They're both under different states too. So I don't know if that could be the issue.

Unfortunately, neither worked. I remember taking the "F" from the hitflag before. Do you want me to post the Hitdef?

Anyone know how to stop a move from juggling the opponent in the air?

Ex. The move will launch the opponent in the air, but when the opponent comes back down, and the move is executed again, it will launch him back up.

You can keep doing juggling with that move. Anyone know how to prevent this?

Alright, well I ended up recoloring the hyper port, and it worked out. Thanks!

I also got another portrait that I ripped myself that I'd like done. I'd like the colors blue and blood red. I put image in a .psd format. Thanks in advance!

Yeah, the ones that are shared with the palette. They're either traced or re-drawn.

Also, am I allowed to request a small custom portrait? like what POTS, Warusaki, and Rajaaboy have for their characters? I mean, I attempted it myself with Rajaa's guidance on how to do it (whom I thank for taking his time to explain it to me). But there's a reason why I got other people to do my work in art class LOL. In other words, it failed hard.

YES, it works!

Still incomplete, but I get the idea now. I just need to add the Varset and whatnot. Thank all you guys for the help. I appreciate it!

But one last question. It may sound nubbish, but it's been bugging me for some time. The difference between an Explod and a Helper is that an Explod doesn't need a statedef, where as a Helper DOES? Though I'm sure I understand it now, but is that the only difference or is there more to it?

(you say you found the answer since then, but anyway, here : )
Normally, helpers behave exactly like the player. That means when they get hit, they get sent to the regular gethit states, 5000+. you don't want that, because when they do that, they then turn into a clone of your character. So to prevent that, you use a hitoverride : with that, when they get hit and tha hitoverride is activated, they get sent to a specific state instead. In that state, you just say that they display a "getting destroyed" animation, and then you put a destroyself.
Simple as that.

Alright, that's a good explanation. I'm in the middle of coding it so hopefully I'll get it done right this time.

When you explain what it is you don't understand, you get answers. And  that is how this section works. Uncalled for attacks ? You want help but you don't say what you need help on. This happens all the time. You say that's uncalled for ? And how do you even call that an attack anyway ?

By "process", I meant the whole thing. Like how Helpers can be used as Projectiles. Sorry if that wasn't specific enough for you. I thought "process" was self explanatory. I didn't mean for that to rub anyone the wrong way.

It was uncalled for because I don't know much about coding projectiles (I can code everything else though, expect throws LOL) and I didn't know what Dshiznetz was getting at. I mean, sorry if I haven't been coding for years to know what he meant exactly. I was just looking for a good projectile explanation is all; which is what I should have said in the first place. ::)

But I don't wanna argue about that or with you. Let's start over. Besides, I like your characters too much, ya big bastard! (and that's relevant how? and kidding about the bastard part dude LOL.)

I know what those states do, and yes, I know how helpers work (to some extent). But I didn't know what the HitOverride had to do with it. So yes, I don't understand how it works, I've mentioned that. I mean, that's kind of why I'm here asking for support, no?

But I never said what he told me was wrong. I was just looking for a little more specifics other than telling me what states to use. I honestly wasn't trying to give off a bad vibe from that... really. :-\

EDIT: I know what HitOverride state has to do with it now, since you mentioned it. I didn't know at the time!

That doesn't help me much though bro. I know it's like setting up a statedef, but I'm having trouble on know how the whole process itself works. I'm studying other characters, but it's not making much sense to me unfortunately, which is why I need a guide. :P

I'm not sure if there's a guide here on how to use helper as projectiles but I need a little help on this.

I used the "Type = Projectile" for a bit. But from what I heard, using both Helper and a Hitdef give you more freedom, which I'm starting to believe. But I don't a single clue on how to set these up.

If there are any guides or if anyone is willing to help, please let me know. Thanks in advance!
