well i never said i liked it, in fact i have never actually read a BL manga. i just know about what ive read from informational sources (i didnt even know what it stood for for awhile). regardless ill check those out since i assume theyre good on their own merits

only reason i mentioned BL in the first place is that in dolls code, the pacing would be randomly interrupted with scenes of these two guys hugging eachother and staring longingly into eachothers faces. even the other characters pick up on it

edit: yeah, ive been trying to read a lot of manga that are short/completed regardless of genre, so i can broaden my horizons in regards to what i read

shulks monado arts are for people who like to think imo, if you wanna just mash buttons and hit ppl theres plenty of that in other chars, but shulk gives you a huge range of options and hes really a monster cause of it. really versatile.

some short mangas i have completed (plus one i started) recently:

battle field - a series of vignettes about the nazi campaign in europe (taking place mostly in france and italy iirc). lots of emotional stuff and powerful scenes with an emphasis on the power of human nature and redemption. really like the "imaginary friend" one where an imaginary teddy bear supposedly saves escaping american pows. 8/10

dolls code - a bunch of kids who committed crimes in the past are drugged and have a body part removed and replaced (thieves lose arms and legs, hacker guy loses his head and get his brain implanted in a metal helmet thing, rapist loses his dick ((for real)), mc loses his memories etc.) theyre placed in a school alone and have to complete games so one of them can "graduate." the catch is one of them is actually not human but a creature composed of their stolen body parts and they have to figure out who it is. this is just as stupid and predictable as you think it would be. theres also heavy BL overtones for the fuck of it between two characters but thats not really an issue, its just so out of place.  4/10

baketeriya - its a short comedy shonen about a loser high school kid who goes to a college but then somehow gets mixed up witha  comedic cast of yokai who want to eat him. he agrees to allow them to drain his energy and coexist with them so he can continue becoming a not-loser just like every other shonen. lots of romantic interests and fan service. also a creepy story arc where the main tsundere love interest turns into a loli and yeah it wasnt helping its case. either way i liked some of it. the ending and final villain is kinda retarded 5/10

dolly kill kill - its mahou shojou of the end.... no wait its high school of the dead... this just started but come the fuck on.  3/10 so far

yeah i agree, the post is badly timed and couldve used someresearch.. the post is also more concerning exclusivity rather than just sales, which is something nintendo really hasn't had such an issue with. if anything its exclusivity is its best tool
