The color on those colors look really oddly distributed. Those look way too light in some areas IMO especially the KI blast and that leg attack. Curious to see that the effects arent 64 tones colored either. That could be.

Pretty interesting twist though I think I expected it at some point. Not with XCB spriteset though. Best of lucks.

Hm... Looks fine to me, but being a pal guy, you probably have a better eye than I do. I guess I'd suggest just using warmer/softer tones with the colors. Given the sprite style. You expected what at some point...? That I'd make Android 18? Really...? Well I suppose lol. Anyway, thanks for the support.

For sounds, we have Jweezy who usually rips sounds for us (English or Japanese). I think G.o.D does that too, although I'm not entirely sure.

that's an awesome plan, i hope she does the super from the future of trunks movie, with android 17, where they keep shooting beams down at the opponent who's on the ground

I had actually thought to give her a super like that, but there's no 17 sprites to work with. Plus overall, what XCB did is a great basis to go from.

So, after some much needed down time, I've begun work on a new project. I decided to go outside the Capcom/SNK universe once more for this particular project. This time, I've chosen a DBZ char, Android 18 using XCB's 18 as base:

Special thanks to Froz for the CS, RikuMasta132 for the small pic, and Hungry Wolf for the big pic and various extra art for her. While the overall basis will hold true to XCB's version(minus the alternate "Silver/Gold" modes/moves), I'm also taking some concepts from her Super DBZ incarnation. There isn't a lot to work with though in terms of her Super DBZ moveset, I'm only bringing in like two moves from that actually. Which is "Blaster" and "Infinity Hold". The other techniques will be retained from XCB's version, save for a few things. I'm going to be using her Eng voices. I'm not going to make an alternate snd file. Don't ask. As of now I have all basic and system stuff done. I'm up to specials currently. I've thought about possibly adding some compatibility with her with the Z2 chars. Maybe an intro or something. Possibly adding in the dash collision stuff. Maybe... Don't hold me to that. I like collaborating with others when I can, unity is a cool thing, so we'll see.

I don't have everything planned out yet, but I'm doing things as I go. I'll have more info on her moveset and all as I progress. There's something I wanted to ask for help with though. That's with getting more voices for her. Currently, I'm using voices from Stig87's Eng voice patch for his 18, along with some Super DBZ samples that Tamez got for me some months back. However, Tamez seemed to miss a lot of voices from that game for her. Along with Stig's voice pack is quite lacking as well. I was hoping someone could direct me or even be able to rip various voice samples for her that I can use. I'd appreciate it very much.

That looks great. Nice work. I do like the more serious expression as opposed to him smiling. I like the change in using the DBZ arcade stance for him. The older one you made was nice too though. Either or could have worked imo. Though, the sword was an intricate part of his fighting style in this incarnation of him. So, having that hand up in preparation to draw his sword at any moment is more befitting for him, as opposed to the older stance. I'm sure that stance will meld together fluidly with sword attacks.

^To a degree, I'm gonna have to agree with this. Especially when yesterday, I saw your post in that Memo guy's compilation thread that he was also making K'. It seems you assume that you have exclusive rights to the char or something, just because you proclaimed you were gonna make him. Did you know that Basara had planned to make a K' long before you were probably even a member here? Though I didn't see him sulk about you wanting to make him or express any dissatisfaction toward it. Or towards anyone else. K' is a popular char, lots of people would want to code him if they were able. Why is this annoying that others want to make him?

I find that to be in bad taste. Also, how long have you been inactive in the sense of helping Chazz make K'? Did you expect him to just not do anything until you found it convenient to come back and help him? Giving you guys' enthusiasm with creation, if anyone should have expected him to go on w/o you, it should have been you. Honestly, I think it's save to say you would have pretty much done the same thing, had the situation been reversed. Whether you quit or not is your choice, I'm not trying to defer you from it. Still, I find it lack luster that apart of the reason you're quitting, is because others are making a char you wanted to make. Along with the co-programmer of said char pushes on with the project in your absence.

You and Chazz have a lot of enthusiasm. I respect that. Though just like I told him, I feel the both of you rush things for whatever reasons. A lot of you guys' old chars could use updates and fine tuning. Though it's more of a 'on to the next one' mentality you guys have. Chazz may feel like he's nearing completion with K', but from what I tested with his Robert/Haohmaru when he asked me to test them, I'd say he's not as close as he'd like to think. None of us really are in the end. You can think something's complete, though when it's released, people will find all sorts of things that you may have overlooked. If I was working with someone on a project, and then couldn't be active really for several months or so, I wouldn't hold any contempt towards them for going on w/o me.

If anything, I'd come back and help with w/e I could/what's left, to help concrete the project. That aside, my condolences to you and your family.

It's crazy how they made Heihachi look so evil/dark in that trailer. I guess though, when he's one of your fave chars, it's easy to overlook the wrong he has done... :( Killing Miguel's sister(unintentionally mind you, but he's overall still at fault), throwing Kazuya off a cliff when he was just a boy, etc. I always saw Heihachi as a silly but serious when needed kind of guy. Especially with all the various Tekken char endings that include him. I guess this Tekken wants to take things more seriously. I'm curious as to how all the other Mishimas and cousins of said family will play a part in it.

Because he's able to do this in CvS2. Doesn't matter if it can combo or not, it's just an option they gave him.

-EX Sake Kogeki is still flagged wrong. The normal Sake Kogeki still doesn't work right. Do you have Training? If so, test the move. If you hold forward and press his attack button with him, he'll throw a normal/special flagged projectile. If you hold back and press the attack button, he'll throw a super/hyper flagged projectile. The move currently stops normal/special projectiles, but not super/hyper ones. While flagging this move wrong makes it so that it can't be counter by counter attacks that counter physical attacks. Like Geese's counters for example. Though makes it that it can be reflected by reflection moves... :-\ Look it over more carefully and don't rush. Test it.

-One of the dodge attacks is supposed to knock p2 back and can't be cancelled. P2 shouldn't be able to recover from it as well.

-Kougetsu Zan should have some invul on startup. Starting from his frame after the first attack down. "AnimElemTime(4)<0" for the muteki(NotHitBy) trigger.

-Sake Kogeki is flagged wrong. It should not be flagged as a standing, hyper projectile(S,HP). It's a physical special with the ability to destroy projectiles. Flag it as it should be(S,SA) and give it a helper that activates during it's active frames that kills projectiles. If you're not sure how to do this, I gave my KFM the ability to do this with his Kung Fu Blow special. You can reference it.

-Zero Counter Gouha for Rasetsu uses the wrong hitspark, hitsound, and the spark is misaligned.

-Based on Arpa's description of Rasetsu's c.HP, you have it working wrong and animated wrong. It should look like this:



Also, the second hit should ONLY come out on successful first hit. That's how he described it anyway.

-Hiougi Tenha: Fujin Zan(MAX) and Hiougi Tenha: Denku Restu Zan(MAX) should not have complete invulnerability throughout the move. Invul on the first attack frame and every frame less than that frame. So AnimElemTime(#)<0 for the muteki trigger. The hashtag represents w/e frame is the elem after the first active(attack) frame. So if the first active frame is the 5th animelem, you'd put "AnimElemTime(6)<0" for the NotHitBy trigger.

Hence why giving it the properties of boosting attack was the function given to it. With the absence of JD and K-Groove. I do feel the length of the boost is kinda short. Which it could be extended a few seconds to make it more useful. Overall though, it's his decision what he wants to do.

It has invincibility start up...? I didn't know that, but I never use the move anyway. I don't think it should have that at all. That makes what Arpa said about it being interrupted a non factor, because he can't get hit. A last ditch effort, if you have the life to before it in the first place. He takes 250 damage when performing. Which in turn, I see it as it that value being a stipulation to perform it. If all it would take for you to get KO'd was a LP or even less than that, a blocked special move, does it make sense for him to be able to hack himself up? Maybe in SS it would, because he'd start the next round with full Rage.

With this Rasetsu's current setup in this system though, no, it doesn't make sense. Though, whether he decides to take that stipulation off or not, the invincibility start up should be taken out regardless.

Yeah, it was my idea to give Shitatari that functionality of a faux rage boost and the current stipulations, because of the system the char has been adapted to. It didn't  seem right for him to keep hacking himself up, if he didn't have the life requirement to perform it this case. While it was pointless to have it just to build meter as Chazz initially had it, with the ability to power charge and all.
