Well, IDK about the earlier EX games, as I don't have them to confirm. Though in EX3, Kairi's HP is the uppercut only. While MP is that step in punch. So, they're not the same in that game. If they were the same in earlier games, he probably didn't have the uppercut in those. It's a nice custom anim though. Yeah, it can be used for a far HP while making the uppercut close HP like the other Shotos.

Yes sir. Although I doubt he actually had that in SFEX, it's nice to give him it nonetheless. Along with any other close range Shoto attack variants you're willing to throw in there. Though I have to ask: If you already did that, then what is this...?

It's a nice looking attack, don't get me wrong. Though, it doesn't look like a close range attack. Looks more like a possible command normal or alt far HP.

On topic, I'm liking what I'm seeing with Kairi. Been looking forward to some progress on him. Is that close HP just something custom you gave him? If anything I'd imagine it to look more like Ryu/Ken/Akuma's c.HP uppercut. That what you did kinda looks more like a far HP. I know a lot of the SFEX cast didn't have alt anims based on their distance from p2. So I'm assuming it's custom, though I can boot up SFEX 3 later and find out.

To be fair though, the companies that developed said games had rights/owned said chars they added into those game. Hence Namco/Bandai developed that Naruto game, so adding Lars isn't really an issue too much. Along with Capcom developing those Marvel games which led into the MvC series. Looking at it from a company stand point, DC and Capcom, Goku kinda does stick out. Though, of course he's free to add whomever he wants. I'm sure overall it's a welcomed addition. The game has that nice retro 16-bit feel to it. Good luck with everything.

Not necessarily, but it does help with understanding the fundamentals of fighting games in general. Still, it's not required, one can learn along the way.

A DP move can be w/e you want it to be. Kick or punch doesn't matter. Doesn't even have to be an anti-air. You were asking for examples of some, people gave you some. The knee fits the fighting style of Sagat/Joe/Adon. Though not for everyone. As was stated a page back, Rugal has a DP+K, but it's more like a revolving kick. DP is just a command, it doesn't have to be limited to said types of moves. There are other chars who have DP motions for their specials, and they are not AA abilities.

Not like that, though almost. Yeah, the Z2 collisions have detects to know which chars are capable of colliding with them. You have to add him into their detection triggers. Not "Divine KFM". That's not his name, just the name of the folder/files. The trigger should look like this:

trigger# = Enemy,Name="Kung Fu Man" && Enemy,AuthorName="DivineWolf"

Where the hash-tag is, you need to replace that with the appropriate number, that comes after all the other triggers.

Yes, you can. You'll just have to set up different coding triggers to detect which weapon is which. Giving them all separate IDs to identify them accordingly. You'll need to detect for the different sprites that use the weapons as well. See, the thing with Cody is that he has different sprites that use the knife, and when he's just fighting barehanded. He isn't actually holding the knife when he "picks" it up. The helper just goes to a different state or w/e and the different sprites display with him holding the knife and having the knife attacks. This in itself isn't too complicated, but very tedious.

That's just for one weapon. If you had a char with multiple weapons, you'd have to set it all up. Also have the sprites needed to display them holding/attacking with said weapon.

Wait, so who do you have representing the Alpha series? If anyone at all. Cause Rose sprites are done. You should really add her for the fresh, beautiful sprites alone. I'm not the greatest Rose player, but I can work with her a bit. Using those new sprites for chars will definitely give you game a more fresh feel.

You have the power to stop this from happening though! If I ever get the strength to make a full game featuring Capcom chars, my first order or business is to give Ryu the boot. Ken for lead, 20XX...

I like Shinku Tatsu, but you do have a point. A slightly buffed EX Tatsu can compensate. Denjin is good. Metsu SRK sounds interesting. Free Ken.
