What's wrong with Imageshack? Everytime I want to see an image in their site it redirects me to a video. >:( I want to look at the image, not the video!

I know it doesn't have 16 colours but it's CvS inspired.

I edited (read that as "fixed a lot of stuff in") Shao_Kun's sprite, so here it is:

Too bad it exceeds the 16 colours limit. :(

Also I wasted some time on this:

From a LSW sprite (edit) to a different style I invented.

And this:

I was trying to make a new sprite in CvS style with this method (the grayscale method), but meh. It didn't work that well. I suppose this works better for SFIII sprites.
(or I should have used a smaller brush size)

The guy probably used that picture as a way to trick the guests to download his Evil edit, because those sprites were never released and/or used by anyone. So no, it doesn't exist.

The sprites were made by Cybaster, but they're only 20 sprites. And that screenshot must be Cybaster's too.

Wait, check the system.def in the Mugen1 folder in the Data.

That's what is working now, right? There must be written:

...font3 = enter48.def            
and:

stage.pos = 640,700
stage.active.font = 3,0,0
stage.active2.font = 3,2  ;Second font color for blinking
stage.done.font = 3,0
in that file.

If that's what you have, instead of editing that, go into the mugen.cfg:

motif = data/mugen1/system.def

Delete mugen1/ from the motif line, then you can work with the system.def in the data folder.

In system.def at the start of the file you should find something like this:

You should add a line that says (in my case)

font4 = leveis.fnt
(change the numbers accordingly in case you have more than 3 font files)

Then scroll down until you find something like this:

Be sure to write:

in other words you have to change the first number.

Since in my example the font number is 4, I have to change the active font number (for the stages) to 4.

The character is 100 MB heavy but he puts videos, FAQs, BGMs, stages, saved pages, his story (Trinitronity, no, he didn't put MFFA as the bad guys) and more stuff that isn't important for the character to work, hence doubling the filesize.

By the way, it's the one on the left. ;D

The outlines were made from a SFIV screenshot by Balthazar because he wanted someone to shade it in CPS3 style.
Excuse me, but where did you find the image? How can you not know where you found it?


This is for anyone who wants to try their hand at shading a Street Fighter 3 styled sprite. eFeX's SF3 Zangief included for references. The stance is from SF4. He looks bigger but that's mainly because he is less crouched then in eFeX's sprite. Scars are to be added at the end via a simple mask trick.

The scale was right for that style so, if anything, you should have scaled it taking in mind how the CvS sprites were in height and width.



Anyway, feedback:

Small update on viper.


MotorRoach's feedback can be applied here too:
From what I see, her right (our left) knee needs to be moved to her right (our left) some more, because the position of her right leg looks broken, as the shoe seems to be facing the opposite side of her knee. This is clearly not the case with the [SFIV stance from the game].


Here's my SF4 sprite

Zangief:
- missing a lot of shading and lit areas; it seems rushed, the face is not shaded and so are the hands.
- If you have to resize the sprite, use a CvS (or Alpha, they're just wider) sprite as a reference.
Sagat:
- abs are decent, you improved that part... actually scratch that; there's still something wrong about those, but I can't point out what it is;
- his pectorals are strange, what did you want to do with those? Why are the shaded that way? They don't receive light from the floor;
- that crease on the right (our left) pant doesn't feel natural (at least for me);
- his left knee (our right) has something weird going on there...
- and everything below his right knee (our left) misses a lot of details. I forgot to say the right knee is also not properly made. it was better in the first image you posted here:
- I can't read his face correctly.
- His muscles below the armpit... just those three lines... :(

I don't know why the abs are lighted, since the light should come from above him (if I recall correctly). It could be a style choice. Alex from SF3 has a similar pose (his torso especially) and his abs don't receive light.

With that said, I prefer the old version of his stance, the four one in the evolution sheet you posted (albeit it has some shading mistakes I can see now), but that's just my taste.
