-When Regular Gouki will sometimes will try the SGS intro against PotS M. Bison. Bison's gone, and won't come out until you press a button.

I could provide you with either two solutions.
1. You could make a specific intro where Akuma does SGS to Bison and he teleports, where Akuma responds with a stomp or something.
2. Make it so Regular mode knows Vega exists, and only make it that Shin mode will the intro only.
I guess I miss that one. I didn't intend for Normal mode to have an special intro against PotS's Vega. Since, I think, he's a boss character and the intro would be better off against Shin Gouki.

I also have some Super Portraits for Ryu and Evil Ryu if you want them.

Here's my feedback (I should have done this a long time ago):
Both: No super finish fonts?
Ryu:
-A Tatsumaki (Normal mode) can't be followed up after midscreen if it's connected from too far away like after f.Z--c.Y. Might want to make it not knock P2 too far away. Especially since Shinkuu Hadouken can follow LK Tatsu at midscreen in SSF4 and SFxT (I'm pretty sure).
-EX Tatsumaki (Normal mode) knocks P2 the wrong way sometimes (behind him).
-Shinkuu Tatsumaki sometimes drops P2 if juggled into like in Shinkuu Hadouken<Shinkuu Tatsumaki Sempukyaku.
-P2 can air recover from EX Hadouken and Shakanetsu Hadouken.
-Non-EX Shoryuken (Y and Z) can connect after Tatsumaki in corner (normal mode). Intentional? I'm asking because EX Shoryuken misses a hit (on purpose, I know).
-Either I'm doing something wrong, or canceling Sempukyaku into Tatsu only gives me Classic Kuuchuu Tatsumaki (Evil mode).
-B Ryusokyaku's frames are a little bit too strict for linking afterwards, 7 frames like after Kyuubi Kudaki seems more reasonable.
-Metsu Shoryuu ken is QCF,HCB+K in Master mode, that isn't listed in the readme.
-f.Y leaves Ryu at -5 frames, that's a punishable disadvantage.
-Fully charged Metsu Hadouken does more damage if he turns around before firing it (P2 is behind him).
-Why no more OTG on EX Ryusokyaku? C Ryusokyaku is a bit less reliable for OTG'ing since it's slower.
-I don't see much reason for Joudan Sokuto Geri to super cancel. It's more of a meterless ender/EX combo extender and it otherwise pretty much outclasses Tatsumaki.
Gouki:
-EX Tatsumaki launches P2 in the wrong way in the corner (behind him).
-Tenma Gou Zanku could use angle differences between versions like Zankuu Hadouken.
-It sounds during Gohadouken like he yells out before the fireball makes a noise, it's disorienting.
-His first palette isn't selected with X like Ryu. >:(
-Shin mode's Hyakki Shu goes too fast for his standard setups like A Tatsu--c.Z<C Hyakii Shu<Hyakki Gou Sai.
-The readme doesn't seem to mention that Hyakki Shu Gou Tsui can only hit airborne opponents.
-Why doesn't either of his modes' taunts buff his next attack? I'm pretty sure PotS' original did so.
-When SGS is canceled into, it makes a hitsound when he grabs P2.
-Normal mode's far C doesn't always connect on most chars, the second hit to be more specific.
That's all I've got for now. Nice job, they feel really good.

-I've been meaning to ask what the font type is, but I somehow always forgot. Any idea for what font it is?

-Since his land recovery can be super canceled, I thought it'll be okay if I leave it like that. But since you say so, I'll adjust it.

-Intentional. I coded the non-Ex Shoryuken to deal lesser damage when used to juggle.
-Yes, canceling Senpukyaku into tatsu WILL give you a classic tatsu. Quite similar to SSF4 AE 2012, yet different. lol
-Since this combo: S.HP > B Ryusokyaku > C.MP > A Tatsu > Z Shoryu. can take about 30% of the opponent's life, +5 frames would be enough. Plus, I don't want C.MK (or any other normal move) to link to it afterwards.
-I add that to the readme.
-I'll adjust that.
-Really? okay I'll have to fix that as well
-Because you can combo the opponent with Ex Ryusokyaku 3 times (which deals about 345 damage) and the dampener won't seem to work on OTG's. But I'll try to tweak it more.
-Yeah, your right. I'll add that on the next update.

Great Release!!
Here's what I can say though:
-GoHadokens could have a faster recovery time. As far as I know, Gouken is a projectile spammer.
-Crouching light kick lacks range. It's one of his great pokes, from the source.
-Second hit of Ex Senkugoshoha should knock the opponent farther and not higher, that way, you can follow it up with another Senkugoshoha.
-I'm a non-chain-normal-combos fan. Is there a chance you can restrict all far standing normals except MP from special cancelling for the no-chain-normals mode?

But this's just my opinion and you have your own style. So, leave it as you may. And again, Great Release :D

Thanks for appreciating my works. I also liked your Gouken. I was thinking, I could add a special intro against your Gouken. But too lazy right now to do that. lol

I love these updates!

I tried to find how to edit the [State -3, EXFlash], because the newest PotS chars have a different EX Flash. I examined Jmorphman's chars, but I ended messing up Ryu, I was close adding all the state -3 about the EXs of Ken, changing the var(25) to the var(10) (the older var for EX specials), and that was my closest attempt, but normals specials used the flash for 1 frame, so it didn't work correctly.

I know nothing about coding, it was actually my first attempt. I hope it could serve you as a bit of feedback. Maybe advanced coders can help with that.

Yeah, I attempted doing that - updating the EX flash. But I gave up in the end and got content with the current Ex flash.

As much as I'd like it to, you owe us no appologies brotha', you do your work the way you want it done, I downloaded them and downloaded winmugen just to get a feel for how solid they are ... they're very nice ... keep up the good work!

Just finished testing the updates and I must say, your really improving them a lot. They start to feel like P.o.t.S's latest characters now. Here my feedback on both Ryu and Gouki (Mostly Gouki):

- Why does Evil Ryu's taunt do damage? I don't remember him doing that in the source game.
- Normal Gouki's voice clips is supposed to rearranged differently compared to Shin Gouki.
- Normal Gouki air hadoukens are not suppose to fade away the same way as Shin Gouki when they hit the ground. Shin Gouki is acceptable, but not in his normal form. They should disappear the same way the opponent gets hit by one.
- Normal Gouki's flames are suppose to be red, not purple.
- Normal Gouki has the kanji symbol and flames of Shin Gouki in his intro where he stomps on the ground. He shouldn't have them at all.
- Shin Gouki's air hadoukens are not suppose to make the projectile hitsound (5,3) of the when they hit the ground. They should make the same sound that the original version has (5,19).
- Normal Gouki's hadoukens are suppose to be the same as Ryu's hadoukens. Not Shin Gouki's.

That's all I can find right now. Will post anymore if I find any. You should still try looking at my edit for reference.

And speaking about my edit, I totally forgot all about it. Sorry Ness, been too busy with college and Call of Duty. I was about to contact you about last week, but something came up.

- I though I'd removed that? I'll remove that right away.
- I got totally content with what voice clips he had now. But I'll see what I can do.
- It looked better that way. So I never bother changing it.
- Yes, I guess your right with that one. Again, I'll see what I can do.
- He has that kanji symbol in SF3, so I thought it's ok to leave it like that.
- Well, Jmorphman told me to change that. But I guess I can consider that.
- I got lazy, =.= I was totally content with all the fx and stuffs that gouki already has.

  • Double Shinku Hadoken doesn't have hitsparks
  • additionally, Double Shinku Hadoken does not produce a super finish bg
Gouki
  • Neither Vega intro seems to play
  • the config lists that for var(44), 0 = on and 1 = off, while the reverse is true
  • Normal Gouki will do the Misogi attempt intro vs Vega, but Vega will do his regular intro

 -Never paid attention to that team super, I'll fix it right away
 -From what I've noticed. It is because, I think, the Vega intros are meant for the AI of (Shin)Gouki and only works on them. But I'll have to do something about it.
 -I'll fix that, and also the intro vs. Vega

why dont you use evil ryu by infinite for the messatsu goshoryu?

I think it could be done pretty well, all it is really ... is a Shoryureppa, add a background showing rising and falling ... refrence the style Reu used for his Ryu's misogi and use edited misogi sprites for the faceplant at the end ...

Actually, I've made my own version of that on my older edit of this character, but decided to not include it to this edit of Ryu since I don't want to add anymore super moves, which are already many.

I'm pretty sure that patching to Winmugen involves removing all 1.0-specific coding and coding the AI using the roundabout Winmugen methods. I'm not going to rant about how outdated Winmugen is (since I'm sure you're tired of hearing it, Ness), but I imagine it's a bit more trouble than it's worth.
And even if you don't replace the AI it's still a huge pain in the ass!

That's what I thought. Anyway, I'll think about it whether I make a patch or not.

nice, i really like this ryu/evil ryu and their sf4 kind of gameplay, i have one question though, in the evil ryu mode, the medium and hard tatsumaki followed buy the shoryuken combo can't be done... is this intended or it's just impossible to be done?...

As what C.A.N said, it's impossible and I intended it to be. Evil Ryu can do lots of combos and damage even when not juggling because of his axe kick. Allowing medium/hard tatsumaki to be followed by a shoryuken can deal great amount of damage. And even greater with the axe kick combo.

In all seriousness, I hope you wouldn't mind if used those portraits?

I have no idea how to patch them to winmugen. Even if I could, you would have to wait a while longer than the next update.

And you should ask Knuckles for the super portraits because he's the one who made them.

For those who might have waited for updates of these characters, please wait a little while longer.

Although I've been horribly silent and busy for the past few months, I've made some progress in updating these char. So all contributions and feedback from other members of this guild for this chars. has been used and considered and will all be present on the next update.

Expect my next updates this december. I'm not sure what the exact date is but ill post when update is ready.

Thanks for the feedback, I knew I was missing something. Instead of removing it completely, I would like to program it so he can use it when selecting palettes 7-12. Do you know how to do it? Cause I may have forgotten how since all I did was put my personal hitsparks now and all the other major edits 2 years ago. And about the super BG, do you mean his LVL 3 hyper portrait? I didn't make it, Catinbags did. So there's nothing I could have done unless I would want to mess around with the image. I also would like to figure out how can I turn the super BG before Akuma perform his supers black like in P.o.t.S's older versions of his characters instead of keeping it blue. Maybe I'll update it one more time, whenever that will be.

I haven't check the codes on your Akuma but I think most of POTS's older characters have a var(1)( = 1 for normal, = 2 for Evil)  if they have modes and State 5900 where the palettes for which mode are assigned. Yes the lvl 3 hyper portrait. I guess you can leave it be then. I'm sorry I didn't get what you meant on the "super BG before Akuma perform his supers black like in POTS's." line. Do you mean when at the super pause state of the FX used?

@Ness. For the Ex move code, I just copied some of the EX move codes from POTS's Ryu and some from different other shotos. Sorry if I didn't have a winmugen version of my Gouki. I really don't know how to convert it(though I can learn how) and I don't have time to.

That really looks awesome. Especially the ones from MVC3. For Ryu and Evil Ryu, I used the original ones and already changed their colors to fiery gold but if you made something other than what I mentioned I'll be excited to see them. Tested it and I think its good. But some moves that only Shin Gouki posses still persist like the D, D, + P/K move(forgot the name). And the super BG lacks the radial blur but I think you can leave it be. Overall, it makes a good default CVS Akuma IMO since i've only tested a few normal Akumas because most other Akumas are broken. xD

Thanks again Knuckles. Maybe I'll use that one. But I've got plans of making one myself thanks to some tutorials in the help section. But if I ever finish one I'll add that as an alternative super BG. Oh, and it lacks a radial blur which I would do myself if you aren't bored anymore. Post the super BG alone please. Thanks a lot Knuckles, this is really a big help. But I think if I were to separate the super BGs for normal and Shin, both super BGs would be better for only Shin Gouki IMO.

I have officially released my update. The thing that was missing was actually new hitsparks. I found the perfect ones that match my style and will plan to use them for all my future characters and edits. I hope my edit helps improves yours drastically:

I think you should send it via Email, if it doesn't have to lose its palette.The Super Portraits are great! I think the regular super portrait will do. And Catinbag's would be better if had more dark shades into it IMO. I'll just send Catinbag an email if I ever ought to use it.

Edit of an edit: I've just realized all forms of Ryu and Gouki do not have Turns Mode Intros. Perhaps you could get those in?

I forgot to add those. I'll work on them soon. Thanks again anyway. :D
