Thanks SolidZone. I saw your Akuma SZ. I think its great and I would edit yours instead if I'd found it a few months back. But I made this one already. :)
Since yours is exclusive to 1.0, I'll keep mine as is so people still using Winmugen won't miss out and whenever they move on to 1.0, they can play yours. I already had updates done on mine and has been on hold for 2 years so I might as well release it as is and no longer work on him anymore. Probably this weekend as there is still one more thing that I forgot to fix before I retired temporary.

If your talking about the sprite, it's because some are from Zero De Artemis' SF3 to CVS Akuma sprite which doesn't fit that much but I used it anyway for it to have a Street Fighter 4 feel.
Well, that and some effects. Like the flames during his taunt/intros/winposes (I heard from じゆう that their suppose to be a red flame like color) and the projectiles (I changed the projectile sprites on my edit to the ones used by vyn's SF3 Evil Ryu because I used Geese's Shippuken as a placeholder and that it came from Ryon's Shin Gouki Zero).
I never really changed those FX because I really like 'em the way they are.

I'm still updating these characters. Does anyone have or know where I can find a lvl 3 super BG(Gold or Orange ones) for these characters. Or at least, what image would be better to replace the old ones and I'll just follow some tutorials in editing it. I'll appreciate the help :D
I'll see what I can do for this since you got me in the mood. I don't think mine will work because they're blue.
Thanks, I think it won't matter what color it is. I'll just change the color to gold.

Catinbags made a Misogi super portrait, but it's blue and not gold.

The projectile. You could probably use Warusaki's unless you feel like converting the sprites to the correct colors for him.
I didn't notice any difference before. I'll check it out later.
Maybe I'll consider it if it would make it more scarier.

I honestly think if would make Shin more scarier since he has no EX's going around, but if you think changing it would be too much of a cheap boss, then by all means leave as it is.
I'll think about it.

Also, I think Normal and Shin should have two different M. Bison killings. Regular should have SGS, and Shin should have Misogi.
  I agree with that one, I'll add that intro in the next update. Though, I never paid much attention to the intros and winposes or taunts.
And if you need help getting a gold/orange super portrait change, I can be of assistance. I've changed the Regular Blue Super into Orange/Gold, and I can send you it if you wish. I think you can find Caintbags' Misogi portrait in the Warzone screenpack.

After playing your Gouki, I felt that your edit feels much better than mine. Not only it has the latest hitsparks of P.o.t.S's characters, it has the EX moves. That was the thing I was planning to do on my Gouki. However, that was 2 years ago and I probably won't finish it anymore since I'll play with yours any day. Although, I already made some progress before I stopped playing M.U.G.E.N 2 years back, maybe I just make the edit completely different to the original. I still like the effects that me and Demonicdan3 done on him.

When I played your Gouki for a bit, I noticed there are things that doesn't match his regular form.

Very nice update you have here. I have a few more opinions if you want to hear me out.

Probably the most obvious one I can think of is the Gou Hadou Ken sprites can be changed, but for supers you can keep the same. Not sure if you want to do that now, it's an option.

Also, I think the Ashura Senkuu pose when moving should be different from each mode.

 Great Idea. but does regular Gouki's Ashura Senkuu different from Shin Gouki's from CVS2?? I still don't want it to go off track from the CVS2 concept

I also don't know if you want to do this, but Shin Gouki's fireballs can be sized up a bit, but then again, it's totally up to you.

 Maybe I'll consider it if it would make it more scarier.

I already know what I need to change/update. I prioritized editing on their gameplay first and I'll update the visuals later on.  And yeah, I've updated the AI. I'll admit that its not what I want it to be but I think its not that bad.  :blank:

And Knuckles, thanks for answering some of the other problems mentioned that I didn't respond to because i'm not really active here. :)


Here's what I think you should do for the aura:
- Get rid of the hitbox, the aura and kanji for Regular mode taunt (Oh, and make it so the taunt for Regular is the "HM!" instead of "Mu Zero!" (sounds like it to me. XD).
- Apply only the aura for the foot stomp win pose in Regular. (Add the kanji if you wish, it's totally up to you.)
- Apply the hitbox, aura and kanji for Shin's taunt and foot stomp pose.

And you're welcome, mate. :)

Edit: You forgot to give the super finish on Kongou Kokuretsu Zan.
And you should change the Tenma Gou Zankuu Ago's command on the readme.

Maybe I'll consider what you said about that taunt.

Just download Warusaki's Gouki and use the sound he used.

Wait, why remove the kanji?
I meant the kanji that appears in his taunt. But I think I'll consider what you've said earlier and Knuckles too.
A suggestion about the supers: Remember that the most recent PotS creations use a level one super that can be maximized. Shinku Tatsu must be a normal super remembering the history of the character.
The supers that can be maximized are Shinku Hadou-ken, Shinku Tatsu, I don't know about the others, but I've an idea for Denjin Hadou-ken, it could be faster than the normal one, only that, no stronger.
I think that the level two super can be removed completly, or make it a chooseable via a var.

Well, but that's my opinion, you make a good work ;D

Well, I can't really do that because they all have lots of super and the recent POTS creations only have about 3-5 supers. And Ryu and Gouki have tons of supers and adding a MAX version would add more movelist which will make it more vast and confusing to play. And oh, thanks :D

I think it needs a big, impactful hitsound. Hmm. Maybe you (or someone who's good with this kind of thing) applied reverb to the regular heavy punch hitsound.

No, I mean when the projectile hits the ground. It's the same sound as the one in PotS's version but it sounds weird there too. I dunno why PotS didn't just use the CvS2 one. :-\

Well I think normal Gouki not having the aura makes more sense; if only Shin Gouki has it, it makes him more special and boss-like.

oooh neat

Ryu:
  • Tenma Kujin Kyaku can be performed during a small jump, which is not possible in CvS2
  • The super sparks for SGS lack one of the explods that make up the spark (it's the center one)
  • Any particular reason EX Shoryuken uses some headswaped Shinryuken sprites?
  • The purple additions to the hitsparks during Shin Shoryuken look kinda out of place to me.
  • The final hitsound for Shin Shoryuken doesn't really fit in with the preceding hitsounds
Gouki:
  • (Normal mode) standing far kick slides forward too much, IMO
  • The sound that plays when a Zanku Hadoken hits the ground is really unfitting; I would recommend using the same one CvS2 used
  • That nifty aura that appears during Shin Gouki's taunt also appears for normal Gouki, but it doesn't really fit. Also, normal Gouki's taunt can still hit and OTG which seems like a Shin only kind of thing
  • Tenma Kujin Kyaku can be performed during a small jump, which is not possible in CvS2
  • The super sparks for SGS lack one of the explods that make up the spark (it's the center one)
  • The FX that appears during HP and above Shoryuken is too much for just a regular Shoryuken, IMO

I'm not sure if this will work, but I'm wondering if I download the originals for winmugen and use only ceartin files off of these two if i could make your updates work in my winmugen

Does it work if the power bar isn't infinite like in training mode??
If Evil Ryu had more power, say 4000 power for instance, you could still repeat it again and again.  Other than that, it's not noticeable outside of training mode.

Also, I noticed when both versions of Gouki does the foot stomp/aura win pose, the screen does not shake for Shin version, while the sound for Normal still plays.

And to answer Doppelganger's question, Jmorphman's version.

I didn't notice that Metsu Shoryuken can be repeated on hit. I'll have that fixed and the win pose as well.

gouki's Messatsu Gou Hadou Agyo and Tenma Gou Zankuu Agyo are too weak for a lvl 2 super i can inflict the same amount of damage using ex Gou Shouryuu Ken.

 I failed to mention this before but MSG Agyo and TGZ Agyo does more damage in point blank. It's more likely for the projectile not to hit on greater distances.

Shin Gouki/Akuma
Punch sound made when Shun Goku Satsu grabs enemy, instead of just a grab sound, like Gouki.
Does not have red clones coming from behind like Evil Ryu.

Grab sound on SGS sounds like a grab sound to me
I'm sorry I didn't get what you mean on the red clones??

Oh, sorry. I've been editing these characters in a rush that I didn't notice how the author name could affect their intros.

I won't be reuploading these guys for a while cause my PC's busted recently.

Minor problems should be fixed up by yourselves such as the author name. But I'll do the best as I can to fix those problems in the shortest time I can manifest

ryu lvl 1 supers is too weak.
gouki's Messatsu Gou Hadou Agyo and Tenma Gou Zankuu Agyo are too weak for a lvl 2 super i can inflict the same amount of damage using ex Gou Shouryuu Ken.

 I really hate it when supers drain out a lot of Life because IMO, it's rather cheap xD.
Evil Ryu
Can repeat Metsu Shoryuu Ken infinitely (try in practice mode, and you'll see what I mean)

 Does it work if the power bar isn't infinite like in training mode??

Other problems mention shall not be overlooked

I edited this characters so they can somehow catch up to those new characters(mostly POTS style) that are well balanced and because I want them to resemble Street fighter 4 basic gameplays like linking and juggling.

EDIT: 3-17-13 Update: Finally updated again. A few fixes and updates here and there. And Hopefully I can put the updating to a close to make way for making my first character. And yeah, Enjoy!! :D
