Here's a Concept of the inside of the Elemental groove bars. The colors of each are the following:
Red-Fire
Blue-Ice
Yellow-Thunder
They'll have an aura around them that represents their element. Now that's done, I'm going to back to ripping the sprites.

Thanks, C.A.N! ^^

Now for progress:

CS Update: Added a missing color.

Default palette has been made.

Practice with making palettes with this CS.

The palette is called Cloudy Sky.

Now. For the bars, I'm gonna start making concepts of them today since I've ripped most of the basic motions. Actually coding won't be for awhile since I ripping from Kong's folder, which has severely oversized canvases. I'm gonna make another palette, but these kinda take awhile for me, so I'd like a few contributions from you guys. I'd also like to hear you guys' opinion and idea's on this project.

Updated CS aswell as made a template for Custom body palettes. And Ken's basic motions are almost finished being ripped.

Possible color separation for Ken. I know the FXs are too big, but I don't know how to scale them without making them look bad.

@Custom Soul: It's his character, dude. It's also just an example so that doesn't mean that the character will EXACTLY summon fighting game characters.

I'm interested to see how this will work. Will it be a joke character or a serious boss like character?

Wow, I really like the elemental grooves idea. If you need anybody to discuss gameplay elements with, hit me up. I'm perfectly willing to help you. :)

Okay. Thanks Man!

Bump.

Decided to hold off the full games for awhile until I get better knowledge in the basics. I'm already restarting with sprites. Now I'm trying coding as something on the side.

Here's the updated list of my plans:

Custom 1: Elemental groove
An idea inspired by the groove system from CvS. Basically, the characters will have their same attacks and specials, but their basic attributes will change depending on the chosen "Elemental Groove" Bar. There are 3 different bars: Fire, Ice, and Thunder. Each one provides the character with special abilities as well a full power ability that can be performed by pressing HP+HK. The character can pick any one of the three bars at the start of the round. The character will have 4 buttons. Since I'm working with sprites, I may also add a few custom attacks and specials to these characters.

"Elemental Grooves":
Fire-This groove burns with power and aggression. This groove is exclusive to those who are swift in attack, not caring about defense or stamina. This groove has the least meter capability, only having 3000 total. This grooves allows for moves such as wall bounces, ground bounces, shield breaks, and power throws. Bounce moves uses 500 meter, shield break 750, and power throw 750. The full power ability provided with this groove is Overheat. When Activated, the character gains double amounts of strength. The price to pay will be at the end of this mode, the character takes double damage.
Explanation of moves:
Wall bounce and Ground Bounce: Wall Bounces and Ground Bounces are, as their name implies, moves that causes the opponent to bounce off the wall or the Ground of the stage. Many of these moves are seen in SFxT and MvC3. In SFxT, EX specials can cause wall bounces and ground bounces. That the way it will work here. Ground or wall bounces can be performed by inputing the input need to perform a special plus HP+HK. When the input is successful, the character will flash red while doing the move. These moves can be used to continue some serious combos.
Shield Breaker: Shield Breaker is a move not commonly seen in fighting games. This move is basically a powerful thrust attack that puts the opponent in another state when the opponent is blocking. This move can be performed by inputing back+LP+HP.  When Activated, the character will flash blue. This move may use a lot of meter, but it's fast and useful for destroying a turtling opponent.
Power Throw: A power throw is basically a beefed up normal throw. In games like Marvel and Guilty Gear, you can combo off of a throw. This will be the function of this throw. When the character successfully grabs with a power throw, the opponent will be either launched, stunned or bounced. Power throws are preformed by inputing Forward+LP+LK. When the input is successful, the character will flash red.

Ice-This groove is not easily shattered. This groove is exclusive to those who rely on defensive aggression. This groove has the most meter capability, having 5000 total. This groove allows for moves such as Parries, Power blocks, and Guard Cancels. Parries and Guard Cancels use 500 meter, Power block uses 1000. The full power ability provided with this groove is Permafrost. When activated, the damage that the character takes is halved. The price to pay I'm still thinking about.
Explanation of moves:
Power Blocks: Power blocks are moves that negate damage from blocking as well as push back the opponent. Power Blocks are performed by pressing Forward while blocked. When inputed successfully, the character will flash white.
Guard Cancels: Guard Cancels are moves that allow your character some space. When your opponent hits your character while blocking, inputing any attack button on the right time will force your character out of the guarding state and into an attack that depends on the attack button you pressed. When the input is successful, the character will flash purple.
Parries: Parries are moves that can stop anything that causes one hit. Parries are performed by simply inputing forward right when an attack is about to hit. The main drawback to parring is that it not that effective to multihit attacks. When inputed successfully, the character will flash white.

Thunder-This groove is quick to the punch. This groove is exclusive to those who rely on speed and quickness. This groove has stable meter capability, having 4000 total. This groove allows for special cancels and a run. Special move cancels into another special uses 1000 meter, running doesn't use any meter. The full power ability provided with this groove is Discharge. I need to find a new idea for this, but the price to pay for this move will be that your blocking is disabled for a bit.
Explanation of moves:
Special move cancel: Pretty self explanatory. When successfully performed, the character will flash orange.
Run: Also self explanatory.

Do you still take requests? If you do, could you sprite Potemkin for me? He's from Guilty Gear. As for the style, I prefer either CvS or KOF, but if you cant then i'll let you choose.

Have fun and keep spriting!

Sure. I'll give him a go.

Well, if you really want to try CVS style, then give that a shot first I suppose. See if that works out for you in the longrun. Now the next question is, do you want to attempt to do CVS style from scratch, or would you like to try and convert a character over into CVS style to see how the shading and all that flows out? Last one before I toss someone at you to try.

I've always try to do my works form scratch. I may use some characters as bases and a reference here and there when I'm having a mental block, but most of the time, I prefer scratching my sprites.

In short, I would like try it from scratch.

lol It's like I'm being interviewed for a job.

Hm....is there any style in particular that you're aiming for? Capcom, SNK, 8Bit, 16Bit, etc.? What styles have you worked with? Is there any that you absolutely don't want to try, or any that you really want to try?

I really want to try CvS style since that's a really popular style here. SNK Style also because it seems a bit simplier. I've worked with mostly small scaled styles. I still want to work with those, but just for fun. As for styles that I'm aiming for, CvS or SFA style would be for large scale, as for small scale, I think I want to develop my own style.

Explain more what you mean with challenging yourself? In what ways are you trying to challenge yourself? Going with a specific spritestyle, or close to one? Hi-res or low-res? More explanations! I might have something for you to attempt, if you so desire to try, but it all depends on what you're aiming for exactly~

Sure! Well, basically, I'm trying to learn pick a style that works for me as well as provide a good fun challenge. I also want to learn a second classic fighting game style for the same reasons and well, I'm making a fighting game.

I'm getting back to humanoid spriting again. I'm figuring out how to sprite part by part. I may start going large scale like I did with the swords, but I'm not sure. Which brings me to the true reason for this post:

I'm opening requests for anything. Any weapon. Any person. Anything, well, except for buildings or landscapes since I haven't gotten to those yet. Just a few things though:
-If it's a human or human like thing, the name won't be enough for me. You can provide the series so that I can look it up, or a pic. I want to challenge myself, so feel free to describe a certain pose.
-If it's a weapon, same rules apply, but I won't sprite guns or any modern type weaponry. I want to wait to do those since they may require a little more skill.

As for the original requests, I don't think I'll be able to get to them. Sorry for those who requested.
I'm still gonna do LS' though when I get to it.

I feel sorry for you, bro.
I need a hug ;~;

And a sig, apparently.

In any case, don't you know of any other way to get internet? As in, another provider or something.

I had another provider, but my mom changed to save money, so I can't really control it unless I go somewhere else, which is hard considering almost all of my family doesn't have internet. :/
