Isn't it linking a private character not allowed in this forum? You should have pm me though.

I looked at the rules and nothing is saying that I can't do it and really I don't care, also I found this off some YouTube link so technically it's not private anymore (You share you lose :oops:). IMO private characters in mugen exist either for, the development of a character between authors or to create false sense of "Rareness" in a character just to raddle up people. (Most of the time it's the ladder)

I see, looks interesting though.

afaik, it's kind of wasted potential as it is a terry clone, so gameplay wise it's just another terry onl with gender bent sprites
For me it is interesting, a female character that can do Terry's move.




I do have it but it's no more than a KFM spriteswap with one new move but here is the link anyways

How about stealing the sprites of one author's original creation to make something else, like that conversion of Pewdiepie that uses sprites from Rikard's Rikard?

Funny thing that thing isn't even a sprite swap... It's a palette swap with one sprite changed and the sounds changed to be the annoyingness that is pewdiepie.

Wow a character from a Fighter maker 98 game.

Now I do like this character (He is like a mix of Mr.big, Saisyu Kusanagi, and Dan Hibiki) but he has his problems (I haven't played the original doujin game before so if these problems are in source let me know)

  • F,X,(∞) is an infinite
  • D,D,B(6) Does 540 Damage if done fast enough
  • And speaking about the strikers they can be summoned as soon as Sanshiro gets out of the glasses with animation
  • The strikers also don't delete themselves properly so it makes the opponent block when they aren't suppose to (If you hit CTRL+C you can see what I mean)
  • The anti-air command is D,F,D,X instead of D,F,DF,X
  • The tripping kick doesn't have a move sound
  • If the D,DF,F,A+B super doesn't completely hit all eight hits the fire trail still spawns on the opponent
  • The X,Y,Z and A,B,C combo feels very stiff to preform
  • I believe in the coding you don't need the supermove = 1 parameter in the states
  • And also there is a makedust state control in the coding (I believe in Mugen 1.0 it's uses the normal Explod state control with some sort of settings to make a default hitspark but I don't know what it is)

The two last points are really for making your character truly a 1.0 character. (According to the FF3 error detector)

The characters that would come to mind for representing me would be either Dan Hibiki, Alter aimba, or any flashy KoF edit that fills the screen with effects.

Just use Wineskin Winery. Easy and explanatory if you read the readme included with Wineskin.

I believe that's what it's using. I'm assuming that this is just mugen 1.0 being hosted at their website and wineskin is just a separate program or is there any difference with this mugen 1.0 at their website and the one at elecbyte's website?

While looking around YouTube I found this video showing mugen 1.0 for mac. Essentially it is using some sort of emulating system called a wapper to make mugen work. (I don't know much about these wappers so don't ask me about it)


Essentially the video is describing the basic stuff on running mugen 1.0. (Even though the video is not of the best quality if someone else makes a more professional video please give me a link to it) I don't have personal screenshots (Since I'm using windows) so this video is all that is here to present it.

I still don't understand why 8 buttons could be a problem. I actually think 12 might be better goal!

No we need the whole entire keyboard even the alt+numpad combinations for maximum control!!!!!!!!!!1!1!1!!!!!!

But in all seriousness it's not really how the layout of the controls is, it is how the character can utilise them (E.G can the player hit buttons wildly and look professional or can the player barley pull off a simple two hit combo even with the most effort put into it)

In addition to 360's and 720's, Half-circles are a no go for me if I am playing on a keyboard.

On a Xbox 360 controller, anything's fair game.

It's not exactly half-circle commands those are easy on a key board it is the D,DB,D,DF,F and the D,DF,F,DF,D,DB,B moves they seem to not really work well on keyboards same with whole circle and pretzel commands. (DB,F,DF,D,DB,B,DF I believe this is an example of one correct me if I am wrong) The fact I have a broken down key on my laptop doesn't help with commands either. (It still works it's just it's super sensitive when I touch it)

I'm against it.
The game is based on combos, as is an MvC styled game. Your fault if you get locked in a combo.
What will be fixed is unbalanced combos, also depending on the skill required to perform it. I'm not in favour of adding new mechanics to the system at this point.

Well if you are going for this In least make it so that there is no 100% combos at all (Or make them stupidly hard to perform or make them long enough to run out the timer), easy or hard infinites, so people won't hit the F1 key faster than you can say fuck or if you disable debug keys, delete that game faster than it takes to even think about it. I don't like bursts at all (especially when they do it in a grapple or a custom state *cough*muteki*cough*who ever made than high res mami with the really annoying AI*cough*) but I have seen so many damn characters that have unair recoverable combos that have 100% combos it makes me sick. (Because even if they are hard to perform, once you know it you might as well consider yourself the winner of the match before it has even started)
