I'd be happy to beta test, this looks absolutely awesome.

Portraits and Palettes

Basically, what I'd like to know is how to change portraits based on the palette of the character. Let's say I'm using Jmorphman's Chun-Li. Is there a way to change her portrait, icon, lifebar face and winpose (I'm using WarZoNe) based on whether she's in Chun-Li mode or Shadow Lady mode? I'd rather not make a bunch of extra hidden slots.

Furthermore, can I make it so the CPU can only use one palette or set of palettes in Arcade Mode? That way, the CPU wouldn't be in Shin/Orochi/Evil mode under any circumstances.

That reminds me of my final question. Is there a way to have different final bosses for different characters, pre-boss cutscenes and hidden bosses only accessible under certain circumstances like SSF4?

Would be great to see you take on some of the SFEX cast like C. Jack, D. Dark and Allen Snider. For now, loving Cammy and Geki and eagerly awaiting Juri and Hokuto.

Will Hokuto have a Bloody Hokuto mode?

You could do something like what, if I remember correctly, PotS' Cammy did; have FX only on the EX version of the move. I think it was either Cannon Spike or Spiral Arrow, maybe both, that had blue flames on the EX version. Unless Joe isn't going to have EX moves, in which case, ignore that.

In any case, this is shaping up to be a great character. I'm just disappointed to see that hooded version go to waste, but hey, it's Joe! We've been in desperate need of ol' blondie for a while.

I figured it's because the stance is sped up. You can tell by the leg and hair movement as opposed to SFA Cammy's leg and hair movement.

I assumed it because her fringe moves and if you look at the shoulder and forearm, you can see that they move pretty normally as well. Compare the two stances, both SFA style.

Her left arm moves exactly as it does in SFA save for the open hand, which can be explained by the fact that it's normal to keep an open knifehand rigid, and so does her right arm (although with the arm rotated, but you can see the shoulder still moves). Since this is an SFA edit, you'll likely notice that there's actually a tiny bit more animation in the way of hair swinging more than it used to (though that isn't exactly much). The only thing that doesn't move in the Delta Red Cammy idle is the boobs/chest area.

Unless you're asking for Chuchoryu to modify Cammy's stance even more from where it used to be, in which case I must ask you what you think the point of this character is, considering it's basically a costume swap with her arms changed in the stance to come a bit closer to SFIV.

Delta is supposed to wear the red beret, and Cammy's scar is not at all noticeable in the SFA sprites. There'd be no reason to even consider changing the head unless it was for the scar. Stance-wise, her body moves pretty normally aside from head and boobs. The hair moves normally, the arms can be seen moving, head can be solved by going back to Cammy's old head. Only thing left is chest. Are you asking for bouncy boobs like in SF2? Because that's what it sounds like. To each their own, but I find boob-bouncery kind of unappealing in a fighting game.

She's a solid character in my opinion. Has a few glitches here and there, but let's be honest here; the sprites are done wonderfully compared to the Psycho Weapon of old and it's much better than settling for SF2 Cammy. If you hate the extra changes by Varo_Hades that much...copy the sff onto the original PotS Cammy and shut up. Problem solved. Just enjoy what you've got, guys.

Now onto my only criticism. Why the headswap? If you're doing it for the scar, just edit literally four or five pixels. Not that hard and certainly easier than swapping the heads.

If I do, then his hair will also be darkened. That is quite literally the only thing that hasn't been color separated. But I do see what you mean and have darkened it to a light brown [something like the Vega palette]

But of course.

From left to right: Normal Muteki, Evil Muteki, Ryu, M. Bison, Sevil Nahte, Carlos Blanka, Killer Bee Cammy, Sagat, Vega, Balrog, Morrigan Aensland, SFII Bison

Finished the palettes!

If you'd like a template to make your own palettes beyond my basic 12, use the animated color-separated gif's posted by SanjiSasuke.
I have made twelve palettes as is the norm; Muteki, Evil Muteki, Ryu, M. Bison, Sevil Nahte, Carlos Blanka, Killer Bee Cammy, Sagat, Vega, Balrog, Morrigan, SFII Bison. I might make a palette pack with Chun-Li, Colossus, Dan, Akuma, Shin Akuma and Juli [Doll] palettes.

The winner of this poll was Normal Bison Style in 1st, with Sleeveless with Gloves in 2nd. However, because I have an extreme bias in favor of Colossus-style with gloves [it's the most unique, guize], Palette 1 [A, if you're doing an ASDZXC setup] will be Colossus Style and Palette 4 [Z in my setup] will be Bison-style with gloves.

Now I know, I know, why have the poll if I'm going to overrule half of it? Honestly it's because I'm just crazy like that. Really depending on how you normally play, the Bison outfit is kind of like his default :D It's not like I'm gonna find a way to encrypt the def so that he ALWAYS has Colossus-style as palette 1, you can always move it around.

So, here's a preview of Muteki with color separation.

Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty

I know his stomach looks weird but if you change the BG color to something darker then it just looks like muscle lines. On that gray BG it looks like his shirt is still there but skin-colored.

I added a poll on what you guys want Palette 2 to be, and I'll keep doing that up to Palette 12. Beyond that you guys can make palette packs and such.

I think I actually will do that, thanks!

Headband poll closed.
The winner is...no headband! Which is fine because it's what I was already doing. I'm now going to hold a poll that will determine the style of Muteki's outfit. You can vote above as always.
Please note that I am a person who tends to operate on bias and may end up going with Option 5 (Colossus-Style with gloves) because I like it most.

Muteki's looking great btw, can't wait for some gameplay videos.

Thanks for the compliment, and I would be glad to oblige for you on that one but as of right now I still need a coder and VA. For now I have to pull an Asura/Mel Masters and keep on spriting 'till I get a coder, and then sprite some more. The best I could do is spriteswap POTS' Vega, as if his chars aren't already spriteswapped a lot.

Here is everything that has been completed so far.

Oh no that's perfectly fine, no problem. I guess he'd just be a S.O. ripoff style char (kinda like how there are MVCEOH style chars that aren't actually in EOH) in that case. While that's not Marancv's original intent, that's how I see him myself. I might actually attempt to learn coding just for that exact sake; to make him in that style.

On the Power Gear thread, Muteki was in the list of suggestions, and he was well recieved, so I said, hey I'll go ahead and start making him and if O Ilusionista likes it then he can be in, if not then he can be a special ops style char.

I actually planned on editing the OP to say pretty much that, but I didn't have the time for it when I had posted that and it slipped my mind. Since you're here though, what do you think?

Added poll to OP.
I myself voted for take it off during intro, as it could just be one of his randomized intros.

Working right now on changing the hair color of Dura's work and removing the headband. Thanks a ton, man!

Wow, man, thanks a ton! That slices my workload into like, a quarter of what it was.

So I guess now I'll just be finishing the specials, supers, intros and the remainder of Duracelleur's animations. Wow ^_^ The world may see Muteki yet!

What do you guys think about the headband? It's no trouble to remove it, I just want to know if you guys think he should keep it as a token of his victory or something.
