Sagat will now include an MB-02 voicepack! Big thanks to O Illusionista for giving me permission to use MB-02's sounds.

Time to bring this project back to life!

Neutral Jump

I've also been updating the tuft hair for previous animations, making it more fluid.

The new super arts look lovely. It only bothers me that the last uppercut in Tiger Genocide goes perfectly straight upwards. I personally think it would look more natural if he went a bit forward during the end of the super art. It also might just be me, but said uppercut seems to go upwards rather slowly.

As for Tiger Raid, I do think that the last kick could be a little faster. If anything else, I would say that the first few kicks could be similar to how it worked in CvS, where he moved a bit forward with each kick.

That wasn't Tiger Genocide; it was Destruction. I should have modified the code to show the entire move. My apologies. Destruction's first uppercut comes out almost perfectly upwards in USF4, I tested it earlier. The second uppercut will only come out if the first one hits. Will adjust the uppercut speed.

Will increase the final kick speed in Tiger Raid. Will definitely add some forward movement on the initial kicks.

Thanks. :)

Changed Genocide. The uppercut will always come out regardless if the knee hits or not.

Also, I'm working on converting Sagat's Dramatic KO anim from SVC to SF3 style. HUGE thanks to Alex for helping with the first frame that I resized. I am currently making the lines and cleaning the second and third frames.

I can't wait to see the finished animation, speaking of which if you gonna take the SVC Dramatic KO animation why not upscale and redraw his attack animations as well they look a lot more fluid then the SFA-sh animations he has currently.

Most of Sagat's attack animations are fine and don't need to be redrawn. I am going to make more frames for them though using converted SVC, SFA and SF4 sprites. I mentioned this earlier.

@Ghost Killer: If you want for animations, see Rolento's animation process (not sure if you've seen this already, but eh):

http://irwt.iammanyninjas.com/sprite-anim.html

He talks about Street Fighter 3 animation at the bottom, and their are a few neat examples of SF3 animation.

And if you want even better, Rolento has a playlist on bis YouTube channel portraying neat animation processes (There is one video where he shows his process for animating ink's CPS3 Demitri. And although the rest of the animation videos aren't in SF3 style, save for the former, they might help you in terms of adding more frames to your animations):

http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL52-w6PDLaYtDPnHFeAVMTvmjkCT4-SIF

Hope this helps! :)

This well help a lot with making Sagat's anims smoother and animating in general. Thanks friend. :)

You know, it would be awesome if the Gouken you did had animations more based on his Street Fighter 4 design, so that way it would look much nicer than the hundreds of SF3 Ryu headswaps out there.

But either way, I already pretty much love your progress on Sagat, and I'm really looking forward to see anything you make.

Thanks man. :)

I feel that just a headswap, though it wouldn't look as cool, would fit in more with SF3 seeing as how if Gouken was in SF3, he would have been a headswap.

I really like Alexlexus's Gouken sprites and would use them to make a SF3 Gouken. Since he is updating them to have a ripped Gi (like SF4), when he is done, I'll ask permission to use them. If I could, I'd also make a second sprite pack using the unripped Gi/headswap set.

Definitely following this :D

Good luck Ghost Killer! You have my support friendo! ;D

Thanks guys. :)

I was wondering something related to SF3 animations
What about adding these kind of sprite to make them smoother

Motion blur would definitely be a cool way to improve some of Sagat's (and other chars) animations. I never thought about trying it. Thanks Shao. :)

Updated first post to show what the characters I am making/would make look like.

As the title reads, this is my SF3 W.I.P. and Ideas hub to keep my works in order and show off and discuss some early W.I.Ps/Ideas without making a new thread for each of them.

Current Works in Porgress
As it reads above, characters I am currently working on

Sagat: http://mugenguild.com/forum/topics/street-fighter-iii-3rd-strike-sagat-w-i-p--160643.0.html

Future Confirmed Works in Progress
Chars to be worked on in the future, after Sagat

Demitri (when ink finishes the sprites)
Oni (when chucho finishes the sprites)

Possible Future Projects/Ideas
Chars that may become W.I.Ps in the future. It depends on if I have the motivation to fully complete them or not.

Mr. Saikyo/Oyaji

Custom SF3 Char Remakes
- At some point, I wish to remake several Custom SF3 chars that were released some time ago. Part of the remake would include fixing and revamping the sprites. These chars include:
Gouken (originally by Alexlexus/Neji/Ohsky)

Sabaki Ryuuken (originally by aZCal) ^

Zen Obron (originally by DjMobile)^
Sheng Long

You ought to keep the same scaling for every frame you're converting from SvC. You can see how the frames are not of the same size when he falls down.
We discussed it via PMs, but I would like to correct you that the first frame was scaled like this: 126,19% in width and 109,76% in height (I checked the first frame with the SvC one). So the others should be scaled the same way.

Yeah, I was lazy and didn't bother to scale those perticular sprites when I did the others. I will scale them once I start to convert them though.
