Tiger Destruction is going to be added to Sagat's movelist and either it or Tiger Raid will become a Hidden Super art. The second part of Tiger Genocide (the uppercut) won't come out if the first part (the crush) doesn't hit. This may change in the future though, it depends on how I feel about it.

Also, I'm working on converting Sagat's Dramatic KO anim from SVC to SF3 style. HUGE thanks to Alex for helping with the first frame that I resized. I am currently making the lines and cleaning the second and third frames.

More progress on this dash animation. Some bugs to smooth out and a ton more work to finish this up but I thought would share.



God, that looks awesome! Can't wait to see it finished. If you don't mind me asking, how many sprites have you made for Strider so far and how many to go untill they're all made?

I'm curious about that Afterimage code you used... Looks very similar to the SFA series. Since I never found a good code for a Blue Afterimages xD

With watching all of your awesome progress, I have to ask: Are you going to add in additional animation sprites besides just going for SF3's style?? The amount of frames in SF3 was beyond ridiculous yet it gave us ultra smooth animation. Sagat looks great, no doubt. However, with a nicely retouched SF3 style sprite set going on, it's going to be apparent that existing frames were styled to emulate SF3. Comparatively through animation, you'll spot a huge difference.

This is just an observation and nitpicking. Otherwise, you're doing a fine job here.

Yes. At some point, I will trace over SF4, SVC and SFA sprites to make more frames for all the animations. Though I might be making a few more frames for the air normals before release, making them for the other anims will probably happen after I've released Sagat either after or before I release the chamat sprite pack. This will be delayed however, if the sprites for my next SF3 W.I.P. are already made by the time I release Sagat.

So, this is how that looks like, kind of. I think I retouched some pixels here and there.


It still bothers me that the pastel colors only go specifically on the legs :S

Also, the toes look too round and cartoonish, maybe taking references from Ryu or Urien in SF3 style could help.

Thanks for the feedback walt. I'll work on the toes at some point.

I'm probably gonna trace over some SF4 sprites to make the new normals. I'd start now but I'm converting other stuff.

Really now?? I can now go to bed happy. I also gotta say the SF3 sprite style looks wicked on Oni. Easily one of the best sprites I've ever seen. Do you know who initially drew that??

Ok. So.... I think it's finished now (aside from some adjustments if need be).



What do you all think of the final result? The hardest part to sprite would have been the shorts, especially with the shading. As with before, feedback and criticism is welcomed.

Trying to fix the Air Light Punch sprites, currently working on the first frame. Fixed the head and chest, working on the legs, feet and bandages. Hope to finish it later this week.

Updated Dragon Ken's default Idle Stance with help from Alex Sinigaglia. Made the tuft animate more fluidly.

Hi, I congratulate you on your work, you just have to fine tune some details of some animations as the tuft of hair, animation stand, as it muve bad back.

If you get to finish all the animations, I take the commitment to program it myself.
How about ?.

I'll be on the lookout for a theme, it would be nice to end up first all the basic character animations, punches, kicks, jumps, running etc. etc.
And so in this way to program all the basics.
