mugen is a very nice novelt,y therefore the majority of mugen players are bad fighting game players, if you can even consider them fighting game players at all, but then there is a good amount (just not a good percentage) of good fighting game players in mugen; afaik, most of the ones who are actually good are good at 2 or 3 games, then average in the rest.

I like your description/definition. It sounds legit. I just still wonder why people post comments that aren't true about the games. Like if I mentioned Dust Loop for Guilty Gear, people are going to assume it's a Sol thing. But he only had it in two games and lost it, yet people will still think you can do it in the later games. While at the same time, all this time Baiken has one too. Then again AC Plus R has brought back the similar combo, but then most people don't have that game yet.

I think to even make a character you would have had to play countless hours of fighting games. I am very old school with my fighting games. The fighting games now (at least what I think) are great graphic wise and over all looks but they replace hidden characters with dlc’s and haft ass the storylines. I miss beating arcade and getting a reward. With that said there are some good ones such as MK9.

That's the funny part, some people who create chars in Mugen have never played the source games or origins. Like back in the day when Rajaa thought PotS made up EX moves, and didn't know about Street Fighter III. ironically he has made SF3 Necro.

And there some authors who believed normals did block damage : O.

who needs fighting games when you got mugen fighting games are boring anyway real fighting games hardly have any supers and i can't pick chuck norris and f1 my way through the game

That's another subject that's not really part of my question, but is a mentality to mugen players in general. Cuz I know people who got mad about accuracy in mugen and argued if you want accuracy to play kawaks. But kawaks isn't a very good emulator.

I've took a look at a couple threads on various fighting games and non fighters in the fighting game section. And I wonder about the comments and think do these people play the said games or know how to play and also do they even own the games? Here you may post your thoughts and claims. I play fighting games. I'm from the early arcade era of the 90's and participated in local tournaments and ranbats. Before the SF IV era where it has become more well known with streams. So as an old player like me, I wondered about the generation today. Not to mention Mugen critics. So yes, does the mugen community play fighting games or own the games they post comments about.

Lol. So far I'm working on the outfits or years that I enjoyed the most which are:

'96, '98, '99, '00, '02, '03 and XI.
They all will have different properties to match those KOF years accordingly such as 03 and XI being able to cancel crouching lk into foward lk.
96 phoenix arrow being with punch instead of kick. Little tidbits like that are in consideration so I can make each character unique and not just flat out be all the same. as for the Athena DLC chars. those are kind of a surprise.

The years I don't have posted or mentioned, doesn't mean I'm not going to have them, but more like they're in very low concern. I will probably have 95 added later on and maybe 97. I hate 97's voice so much though. '99 is fairly popular with some people, but  I actually don't like her short hair, so i'm going to edit all the sprites to have long hair...

Maybe you could use Koopakoot's more recent stuff if KOF 13 doesn't appeal to you. They're accurate to 2K2 UM.
Thanks for the suggestion again C.A.N. Since he's open source too, i'll take a look and see what I can do.

I forgot Kamekaze is actually closed source. Need to ask.

No joke, I almost thought about doing that and calling it Athena Revolution. But instead they'll be put into my KOF game.

World Heroes was one of my childhood favorite SNES games. it was a dream come true to see these two return in NGBC. KOF being my favorite 2D fighter now seemed only right to make this adaption.

Part of my KOF XI Mugen Game. The characters have been edited to have the necessities to play like KOF XI. They have the small jump and run jumps, Run instead of a dash, and roll instead of the NGBC dash. Blowback attacks added and supercancel points modified with a new super added and ability to Dream Cancel into their LDM (level 2).

Yea, I'm having trouble with jugglepoints and implementing a counter hit system.
Take a look at some other KOF characters, such as Kamekaze's KOF 13 chars. They all have accurate counter-hit systems and juggles.

KOF XIII has some wack juggle points compared to previous KOF's, but thanks for the suggestion. I'll talk to him about it.

Athena is one of my favorite KOF chars. 98 is a popular iconic costume for her so it seems logical to have this costume next to 02 and XI.
Goal with this character is to represent the 98 Era Athena into a modern KOF XI gameplay. Like always, these chars are part of my KOF XI game I've been working on for over the years. Any feedback or ideas/suggestions and questions are welcomed.

-Damages have been modified to match KOF and added the KOF XI Cancel Logos.
-Blow Back (CD) attack tweaked to feel more like KOF.
-Hit pause times modified on some normals and specials. Some normals were unsafe before on hit...
-Dream Cancel should work better because of it also.
-Adjustments in .air file for playback speed on some animations
-I edited this character very quickly just because a friend of mine asked me to. Decided to share it here too.
-Renamed her to have Japanese name. Edited to play like KOF XI for part of my Mugen Full-Game.
-Known Bugs: Not all Dream Cancels work. But the the one intended mainly works.  I know the SDM Grab misses when you Dream Cancel into it.
