One thing I'm not liking is how Kula's NeoMax looks to still go in effect even if blocked.

 As for K's Heat drive going through projectiles, I'm curious as to if they can go through all types (including multiples like Joe's Hurricane Upper, or super variations).

Hakan's 2nd Ultra acts the same way.

At least it wasn't after a focus crumble.  I'll never quite get my head around that (my guess is that it puts the opponent in a fallen custom state which handles the same way as being in the air).  I mean, you can do a focus, then while the opponent is crumbling to the floor, do the Ultra and catch it (Zangief's and Hakan's).

- seems to be a sound missing during the miss on "Sentimental Typhoon'

- Was it intentional to catch "Cool Hunting" after "Beautiful Memory"

- Super input is very very forgiving.  You can do half the input, wait about a second then put in the second input (ex. Cool Hunting: QCF, - pause -, QCF+punch).  I've done "Sentimental Typhoon" but it was just out of reach, I followed up with QCB+Kick and caught "Apple For You".  You cold also follow up with QCB+Punch (Hyper Apple For You)

I gotta face you again, LaQuak, you're Gen is nasty.  I'm practicing more with Ibuki and Juri, Ibuki because well...it's Ibuki, and Juri because I'm liking her more and more (with some Cody, Cammy, and Balrog on the side).

One thing that really annoys me is how many attacks that look like they should hit overhead don't.

Cammy's Canon Strike
Juri's Dive Kick
Juri's close standing HK Ax Kick
Ryu's Ax kick
Guy's Flying Elbow Drop

I know some existed in SS4, but still why have them able to block low?

Hey LaQuack, which version do you use, PS3 or X360?  Hopefully 360 as I would like to face you.  Liking Juri a little bit more each time I try her and practicing more w/ Ibuki.

Mine's just senorfro, simple yet effective.

By the way, any one's diving move count as an overhead?  I know Cammy's doesn't, but it doesn't look like Juri's or Guy's does either.

Taking the shirt off is a plus, but it would have been nice if she had that and do a different move.

I think the only video NeoMax's missing are the all-girl team and K's team (obviously)


Look at the faces on Falcoon's art and you will see what I'm getting at.  All the women have the exact same face .____.

He's not the only one.  A lot of artists have a tendency to have their characters all share the same face (J. Scott Campbell comes to mind).  Besides, I didn't say I liked the guy, as I said he has a lot of misses and some designs have me raise an eyebrow.  But, that doesn't mean he can't have a couple good ones.  Although, I have noticed that he tends to have a few of his artworks have characters look to have been to the tanning salon.

My biggest issue s the perspective of that floor, it doesn't seem to match with the alignment of a 2D fighting stage and looks off.  Looks nice, though.

 The fact that his artwork is putrid and his character designs suck doesn't help.

Falcoon wasn't all bad, it just seemed like his work was hit or miss (it did seem like it was mainly miss though).  Still, if Ramon came back, I wouldn't mind this design

His Fevrier was also updated.  She has a super which is like JJBA's Polneraff and a move which is Hol Horse's falling glass shot.  Her 'Spin Drive Smasher' has a different finisher where she fires a few shots.  Her LP, LP, ->, LK, HP (aka Whip's 02 super) seems to take longer for the shot to come out, but she can't be hit out of it.

As for Xiayu,

- QCBx2+K and X,X,F,A,Z don't seem to do anything but are in the CMD.
It's probably a copy from Fevrier as in the movelist txt, those commands are not listed.  She only has 2 supers

- QCF Punch is nuts, but not too much in a good way.  LP, MP, HP, QCF does big damage, too big, so its needs some damage dampering.  Also, Do that combo about 4 times and your super becomes full already, so that needs to change.

- QCF, QCF Punch (custom combo) needs to be looked at.  Unless she's hit before it activates or at the very beginning of it, she can't be knocked out of once it fully activates.  She can also continue to build super while in this mode which can delay the super bar depleting which is bad.

For both Fevrier and Xiayu,
- Why does the screen have to freeze for a split second whenever they parry, it throws the timing of gameplay off.


They're good, just a few things to be looked at.

I like the the little tidbit with the Car Bonus Stage if you use Cody or Guy (it's the little things :)), but I wonder why they shortened Guy's Final Fight combo.

Aside from Ibuki, I'm also trying to main Cody (then back to Barlog and Cammy to polish up).  Cody is a beast.  Easier to use and play effectively than Ibuki (which just means I'll have to practice more with her).

Juri's kinda fun to use.  Comboing from 'Shikusen' to 'Kaisen Dankairaku' is tricky and it depends on who your facing too it seems.  For example, Makoto looks to be caught in it pretty easily, but if you do EX 'Shikusen' in the corner to where the opponent  bounces off the wall to your other side, Makoto flies a little farther than say Juri who lands closer to the person but who looks to be hard to catch the combo with in general.

Played some more and there's one thing that I don't care for in this or SS4, and that's linking.  Even after practice, I can't seem to get the timing down, and the trials are frustrating with linking.  Hopefully I can get by without it.

One thing I would like to ask the Ibuki users, anyone having trouble using 'Tsuiji Goe' (DP Punch)?  I ask because I am and I want to make of other input.  Half the time I keep getting 'Kubiori' (HCF Punch).  It's weird too because I have no problem differentiating  between 'Kazekiri' (DP Kick) and 'Kasumi Gake' (QCF Kick), and can pull those with no problems.  I almost want to think its a shortcut issue for 'Tsuiji Goe', but then why am I not having trouble with the other moves?

It looks like the BGM music change only affects matches between human vs. human, which I think is kinda stupid.

Anyone know how to face your second rival (I played Balrog and faced Chun-Li)?

She doesn't seem too bad.  I don't main her, so I'm only putting what seems off.

- She can trip into Dynamite Swing and Typhoon very easily (don't think that's possible in the original)

- HP has very good priority, as half her arm is just red CLSN with no blue added.

Maybe you can try lil Ibuki? (2 people I told to try Ibuki today in this thread :D) she has cool target combos that just require button presses and not commands, I mean they end in command moves but I tried her today and I really liked her commands and combos. Her commands are just simple qcf and a few dpm and half circles but they aren't that bad. Only gripe with her and how the series handles their combos is silly stand crouch stand type combos as she has a few of those.

First thing I did when I got the game (for about half-an-hour) as I main her in 3 and she's just full of cuteness, bad-assery, awsomeness, etc. ;D

Her target combos are a lot easier to pull than in 3 which has me a little worried.  It looks like during LP, MP, anything, she can wait till the second hit of her MP to connect and finish the combo when you couldn't do that in 3 (have to test out more in the morning to be sure).

She's missing a couple of her targets for one reason or another (LP, MP, HP, taunt which makes sense considering how 4's taunts are set up) (ducking HK to standing HK cannot be done by itself anymore as it can only be linked from LP, MP)

Looks like you can only follow EX' Kazekiri' with 'Kunai' and nothing else

The timing of 'Hien' is weird.  I kinda have to re-learn how it hits as the speed is different for follow-ups it looks like.

'Yoroi Doushi' seems to have more priority than Hashin-Sho' which isn't surprising.

In all seriousness, some of these NeoMax moves, I'm not liking.  They have the wow impact factor, but it just seems a little over the top.  How many of these need to be full-screen or as long as they're in front of you, it's full-screen do we need (Kyo, Terry, Elizabeth, Joe, (and that's so far))?  It just looks to be a little much, but I'll still wait and see how it pans out.

Let me reiterate, I meant Orochi (KOF) or Gill (SF3).  They have a super that fills the screen with bright light.  Might as well throw in K9999 for super similarities.
