The timing of this thing was poor. I am in the middle of some crunch time hell here to finish a release for the 18th, but I will try to keep answering the questions.
Ideally, I'd record videos to answer the questions with my silly accent, but oh well...

Bea, you have a contributor star. What have you contributed?? Characters?? Palettes?? I quickly looked around but couldn't find anything.
All my stuff was way before your time.
I did some GB characters, some bunch of codes that none cares about (who needs bézier curves anyway), SF2Nes (which still haunts me to this day) and a beta of that MS Paint thingy.

she did mspaint mugen and sfnes stuff for one. her stuff is pretty visible and cool

- favorite kind of alcoholic drink
- do you play any fighting games at all on your free time? or is all adult, mature, functional human being stuff nowadays
- ideal sandwich
- what sort of business do you run? iirc you talked about running a business of some sort. if you do, are you focused on a low-cost strategy or is it more differentiation (creating value for customers)
- any sports you enjoy watching?

- Absinthe is my poison of choice
- When I play games, it is easy NES stuff like Ghosts 'n Goblins, Battletoads, Punch Out!, Rolling Thunder or fun stuff like Superman NES, Rambo NES, Conan, etc. Don't have much time free time as of late, I am afraid. Too busy dealing with my current company and opening a new one.
- I am found of a ham, 5 x ham, 5 x sausage, 5 x peperoni, 5 x bacon, provolone cheese, lettuce, cabbage, onions, olives, pickles sandwich.
- I run a technology business. We deal with several kinds of filedata transfer through medias (satellite broadcast, radio, internet, etc...). And we focus on adding value to the customers rather than running a low-cost business. I am the company Chief Information Officer and own 39% of the business.
- I am a huge fan of motor racing. I haven't missed a single Formula 1 race since 1994.

-You said several times you are devoted to your work. I'm curious, what business are you in?
-With all the pics posted around here I can tell you are fairly tall. Do you think that could intimidate guys?

- Refer to the 4th answer in my list just above this one.
- Yeah, I am a wee bit tall, standing at 186 cm tall. It does intimidate guys, and I am working out pretty hard to get at least that Terminator 2 Sarah Connor build to intimidate guys even further.

We'd also see more completed projects if Mugen was a suitable engine for commercial games.

Let the record state that Fitocracy is awesome and is helping me to build a better workout routine by introducing me to new kinds of exercises.
Soon I will be buff enough to instill fear in the heart of men.

This hasn't to do with firing low performance workers, but with paying them enough so that they can survive on one job, and maybe change their lives if they decide to work hard and get two jobs for a while to be able to save some money for their future/education/whatever.

Currently, in the US, the minimum wage isn't a living wage. The same is true here in Brazil, sadly.
This needs to change. We aren't talking paying them a lot of money for their basic labour, but instead paying enough for them to afford rent, food, basic utilities and clothing.

Most of them are specialized workers, but regardless of that, you still need cleaning crew and other far less specialized workers around.
Paying those a living wage helps with their performance and with the mood in the company.

I can't fathom why would anyone be for a minimum wage that isn't enough for a person to get by, pay rent, food, utilities...
It makes perfect sense for an employer to think that way, but none for an average, wage earner Joe to do so.

America isn't a fucking third world country, and you working class aren't slaves, a person with a formal job working 48 hours a week shouldn't need to look for a second job just to make ends meet. Even if it is the most insignificant, expendable job in society (and it isn't) it should pay enough to survive.

Well, I am an employer and I can't understand that way of thinking. An employee that is paid a decent wage produces way more.

I'd sharpen my sword, put on some armour and get ready to die sword at hand.

If the world is ending, I am going down as a fighter.
