of course, but if you want the anim to play through a superpause use a helper to create it with supermovetime = (whatever the lenght of the pause or more), make your animation and trigger it when you need to like anything else.

e.g

[State 0, Helper]
type = Helper
trigger1 = (whatever)
helpertype = normal
name = "portrait"
ID = xxxx
stateno = xxxx
pos = xx,xx
postype = back
facing = 1
ownpal = 1
supermovetime = 999999999
pausemovetime = 999999999
size.xscale = 1
size.yscale = 1

then in the helpers statedef it's default anim will be the animation you code in air file.
