PotS said, September 21, 2009, 12:17:11 pmMFG: apparently your only source for news.I don't mind it, and TBH I kinda like it. It saves me time at least Our userbase covers a broad age spectrum and interests, which makes it easy for us to be informed about pretty much anything as long as the users wish to post about it. Activity and Interaction is encouraged, as long as it isn't nonsense.
i kinda like to read about the current news here, then read it when it comes out 2 days later over at mugen infantry.
I remember when Randomselect had a birthday thread for forum members. We should totally do the opposite of that and have a "recently deceased thread" where we can post deaths of people. What criteria makes it for that thread is up to you of course.
walt said, September 21, 2009, 05:12:02 pmActivity and Interaction is encouraged, as long as it isn't nonsense.HAH!Well, at least it doesn't look that way when there are more-or-less serious topics mixed with nonsense ones...Maybe create a General News/Topcs section to keep the more serious/real topics like Books and obituaries separate from the open silliness that is stuff like the Robot Thread?"All that's left" is still a bit too broad, so interesting stuff sinks quickly.
The only problem with that is who decides what is interesting.I do like the idea of a news board though.
Titiln said, September 21, 2009, 08:40:18 pmi still think a board for dumb or lesser content threads is worth at least a test runIt used to be called the Junk board a long time ago... Phoenix Down it?
