My brother @ his forum game him a sincere advice:To turn his crappy WinMugen hack into a patch, and stop the advertising as 'his' engine, but change it to his 'project', or whatever, and to start crediting Elecbyte.Think of it. For Vyx, it is good because it circumvents Elecbyte's current lawsuit AND License. They can't do anything legal to him since he's not using a single line of their code, unless they change their License Agreement, which wouldn't be retroactive and only apply to RCs, and since Vyx uses a WinMugen base it wouldn't matter. He would be 100% safe. For Elecbyte, the patch will work with the REAL WinMugen Plus/RCsomething, forcing people to GO to Elecbyte's web site and get their stuff first, thus getting to know ALL the TRUTH about the community (no more 'newcomer stealing'), and getting the proper credit.Elecbyte isn't that mad at hacks per se at all, I personally think the whole thing here was the attitude; From their blog:Quote How do you feel towards the 'hacks' and 'patches' the community developed? Those are a clear signal to us that our users really wanted to see new features in M.U.G.E.N.This solution would indeed seem the best for both parties.Heck, Elecbyte could even end up adding a 'User Developed Patches' section, if the developers handle it well. And hosting/linking the WinMugen Plus Patch (if the people who did it developed it as such), and all the others, including Vyx's.Whaddaya think?
No. Giving him a link from elecbyte's forum would rise his e-penis to the top of eiffel tower.Forget that, i re-read it and seems reasonable since newcomers will know the real mugen and how uslees his hack is.
I think you are trying too hard and should let him deal with his own shit instead of searching for legal ways to fuck people trying to deal with him.Leave him to elecbyte, in trying to reason with him , he just come back over and over again trying to exploit systems. Like his "REU RELEASES" that consisted of wallpapers where he was advertizing for his "GAME".Leave it be, he dragged himself into it let him eat his words.
I don't think it's a way to fuck the people who are dealing with him... actually, Elecbyte only wanted him to stop advertising his 'engine' and distrubuting a modified version while robbing them of newcomers. This solves all that. They never actually spoke out against patches (the license never mentioned those), and I don't really think they care.
He spreads misinformation wherever he goes, all the time, he does it for fun even, I think you are being naive while supplying him the right kind of lies to circumvent the shit that is being thrown at him with a good reason. You are gonna end up forcing elecbyte to have to talk out against patches just to get rid of his spam.
Vyx has never shown any interest in 'legitimizing' his 'business'.I feel this to be wasted breath on a lost cause.Had it been anyone else, it may have been viable advise.
He just released his "brokenmugenguild" after attempting to replace the wikipedia article link to the guild with it , to think he is somehow sorry about anything other than being sorry that people are getting to his lies is a joke.He is smart enough to try to walk circles around whatever "laws" he thinks will ensure him getting the E-fame he wants , throwing him life lines and trying to save his ass is a very dumb shiat to do.

He hasn't really shown any proficiency.Anyways, even if he was intellegent enough to do as Lasombra advised, it would throw him on the backburner and expose just how little he's done. He's finished, whether he chooses to take his charade to the grave or not.

Vyx should run for president. Imagine his idea to solve all the problems in the world...If we sacrifice Byakko the recession gods will grant us two wishes.
Vyx said:Brokenmugen HD is not more a patch of the old 2002 Winmugen than mugen 1.0 RCx.It's a new program (exe) reusing the same architecture (directories, def, cns, SFF...)Do you really think that a patch can multiply the res of an engine by 16 ?So, for you the 730 Ko of BrokenMUGENHD.exe are a patch of the 246 Ko of winmugen.exe ?In this case, Windows 7 is a patch of dos 6.2....Windows 7 is a new engine (NT kernel). BrokenMUGEN HD is a new engine (WinMugen 2002 kernel), Mugen V 1.0 RCx is a new engine (Winmugen 2002 kernel). So you can say that Mugen RCx is an engine with higher display capabilities than BrokenMUGEN HD (which is true) or with less retrocompatibility (which is true too because the new RCx engine use a SFF V2 architecture), for example, but to say it's patch...it's a technical nonsense. The guy's an ass. But, for the record, I tried to solve this as bloodlessly as possible.
