Funny. I was thinking about this stage the other day. The changes you stated sound exciting. Will try it out.

Interesting, but some problems :

- I don't like how the chars are so high in the stage.
- The right column needs the BlackJack trick.
- Parallax floor ? Where ?
- Some elements such as the bench have some pink pixels on the edges.
- The barrel looks very flat.
- The shadows don't fade out when you jump.
- The deltas for the BG (behind the train) are not realistic compared to the floor. That's where the parallax would be nice.
- Elements need more shadow to blend correctly in the stages, compared to the floor. It kinda looks like these old 3D games where you can see the polygons for each elements and differentiate each object.

-the characters high in the stage and the blackjack are just a question of taste.

-the pink in the bench i did not catch that,will fix.

-both of the point you made about the shadows are correct,i am going to blame the fact that i made
this stage at 3:00 AM,but i will fix this issues first chance i get.

-about the fact that it looks like and old 3d game,i know ,cool right  ;D
