I'm not here to complain or anything I am just curious. I was here about 2 years ago and this place was flourishing with interesting feedback, suggestions, for low-res and hi-res stages, characters, etc. Recently I have came up with a bunch of new stages and updates to old (nothing fancy just stuff to get me involved again). Now I know the there is a mix out there with low-res, hi-res, and now the latest 1.0. Has the feedback died? Using my older posts as an example I knew as soon as I put a new stage up it would be ripped apart. Suggestions, feedback, and interesting ideas would pop up all the time. On top of that I would have less views. Now I have 100s even close to 1000+ views on my creations and barely any feedback, suggestions. I know I am probably not the only one. I just don't see the point designing stuff that's not appreciated or even hated.. I could be wrong it could just be 1.0 but I am not entirely sure I have not been around long enough. I'm just used to the old days I guess. Let me know what you think?
Well, there is indeed less feedback in the Mugen 1.0 for now, since not everybody is using it yet. It will come.As for the quantity of feedback, it goes up and down, depending on the time people have to test stuff. Generally speaking, I think the quantity of feedback is more or less the same as before.
Talking by myself, i have far less time to test stuff, so my feedback comes in way less quantity and quality.I still force myself to go comment on threads tho, I think people deserve the attention.
Probably like that because there's only Cybaster and occasionaly other people holding the fort that used to have like a handful of regular testers.Hey don't look at me!

My new question is should I (and probably others) make stages to work with 1.0 and lo/hi mugen as well? In other words come equipped with 2 defs or other means of distribution to both.Iced said, December 17, 2009, 10:35:50 amTalking by myself, i have far less time to test stuff, so my feedback comes in way less quantity and quality.I still force myself to go comment on threads tho, I think people deserve the attention.PotS said, December 17, 2009, 01:33:15 pmProbably like that because there's only Cybaster and occasionaly other people holding the fort that used to have like a handful of regular testers.Hey don't look at me!You guys basically hit the same nail on the head. This is probably the biggest feedback killer we have here. I wasn't here when ziltama left and I guess some of the other heavy hitters left us. Heck I was getting a ton of feedback from ziltama on a hourly basis. So that was a big downer especially for me when I returned.Well I guess only time will tell the future of quality feedback
What's the point if 90% of the people don't fix the problems.I'll give feedback to the ones that try, and bash the crybabies. And if I feel like it.

And if I feel like it.Yes, I understand but by going from what you said that the remaining 10% is left out. Because in most cases they are the ones who suffer. If they are willing to unfix the problems due to incompetence they should probably be marked somehow.

Let me know what you think?I know what your talking about.Only the veterans get feedback, people who just started it out don't get shit.I've had many projects which due to lack of feedback made me quit them. I always think: eh, why does master geese get loads of posts and something original dosen't?I hope this feedback thing starts to fade away because it's making users with great potential and ideas just walk away.
Nobody gives you feedback because :A) People still remembers your greatest hits, like "Mugen is limited", so they chose to ignore your topics.B) You jump from one project to other, damaging your credibility. And that's not flaming, is stating the facts.Nnaajj said, December 21, 2009, 04:15:15 pmI know what your talking about.Only the veterans get feedback, people who just started it out don't get shit.I've had many projects which due to lack of feedback made me quit them. This isnt about me it's about feedback in general. I'm saying stuff like Cross Fighters just die because of lack of feedback so, why you suddenly changing the topic?Spoiler, click to toggle visibiltyAnd none of those reasons give someone a reason to just ignore me...
No project dies because lack of feedback, feedback dies because there are no advances show. I started talking about why do people ignore you because you say "OH MY PROJECT DOSEN'T GET ANY LOVE PEOPLE ON THIS FORUM HATE ORIGINALITY AND NEWBIE CREATORS" when that's clearly false.

We all have different opinions. But, I think sometimes lack of feedback will unmotivate someone to continue with there and project and lead on to quiting.

In my instance, I don't get much feedback but that I blame 1.0+. I'm not saying 1.0+ is a bad thing because 1.0 is great and mugen is finally evolving. I blame it because it is new and a lot of people are skeptical and or live by the saying "If it isn't broke don't fix it". So when it gets more popularity I am sure it will grow as well (including the feedback). They just need to add stage interaction and people be all over 1.0+ lol.The way I look at it I take pride in my own creations. I may not get alot of feedback now but I still get hit by a swarm of leechers and/or hitters and if I don;t get any feedback I think to myself maybe the so called stage doesn't need anything or someone would complain lol.

I'm pretty sure you'll get more comments on your releases when that happends.
