1. Grab Moves
- Golden Throw: when close, F, x/y/z or B, x/y/z

2. Special Moves

So glad to see more Golden Axe chars!  Did a quick test and he's great.  There was one bug where he froze fighting Death Adder, but it didn't happen again. (to be specific, it's after he died, it paused 30 secs before the round ended)

Any chance you'd do Green and Zoma next?

Is that because for losing and dying animations I put -1 time at the last frames????????  :o :o :o :o :o  But without using -1 time the animation may repeat repeat and repeat..........any suggestion please?

For now, I am dealing with another big MUGEN project and may not have time for other Golden Axe conversion, maybe will re-visit Golden Axe: The Duel later on  :sugoi:

Very creative and nice to fight against. It's really cool you did the stage with BGM too.

About suggestions for the dying state (didn't test them)
- A loopstart on the last frame with time = 1. Not sure that'd change anything.
- Otherwise, override the dying states and use a changeanim that would change to an anim containing only the last frame, and displayed for a few ticks.

I found out he doesn't take damage when he charges his beam attack.

Ok I know he's boss but I don't think bosses have full invulnerability during a move.

I don't know if it's accurate or not, but this behaviour makes sense to me :
+ Super armor, doesn't take damage.
- Very long to charge, aka not comboable into, and easy to avoid in most cases.

Also, in most of his specials, there's a short window between the charge and the actual move where you can counter him.
As long as you don't stupidly rush to him, you should be able to beat him if you take your time.

Last I remember Abyss took a bit of damage and cannot be hit out of when charging for his attack, this one takes no damage during the attack. In fact this one, takes his sweet time, absorbs the whole attack and then shoots you. (Edit: most likely its me and bad timing, but overall, he's a boss.)

  • Foolish, but learning.
Suggestion.  In the credits sequence for Golden Axe: The Duel, the final shot is of the axe itself with a face in it.  You could use that shot, properly cropped, as his victory picture.

Change the dash.  His teleport aspect of it was effectively a special-double tap forward whilst running.  As it is now, you don't have control of when you warp, where in the arcade, you did(Using hacks to play as him, of course).

Throw doesn't have the blue glow around his hand, nor does the target turn blue.  Range is less than the original; he could do it from quite far out.

Normal and Special moves have too much startup time compared to the arcade, especially Golden Punch, which had little start up at all.  One of the CPU's favorite combos was jumping kick-low kick-normal uppercut-Golden Upper.  That's not possible.  The Super Armour is an interesting touch, though possibly the zero damage during is a bit much.

There are issues with his losing poses messing up the end of the round-forcing long waits for the round to count as finished.
