Feedback time:
Let's start with the system
- First off, let's look at how the supers are mapped. In MOTW, every super had a S power version and P Power version, done with weak and hard attack buttons specifically, you should try to replicate this rather then having 2 button P-powers
- If you're going for MOTW, he needs a feint. A feint is that fake special move that can be cancelled out of normals and in some cases can extend your combos
- Braking is also required. That is where you cancel out of a special like a DP for examples sake, and it allows you to once again, extend combos.

Character itself
- Close Strong Punch should link into specials IMO
- Why can Close HK link into the strong QCF+P move but not the weak?

A good start, but could use improvement. Take this feedback and run with it, and this character will improve significantly.

So now I have all the time in the world to improve this one and work on others.

UPDATED on 4/2/11

-Massive Change in Gameplay (1.26)
-2 Brakes and 1 Feint have been implemented
-T.O.P. System is temporarily removed (Gonna make it more interesting)
-Swordplay Arc is now a Ground-To-Air attack with animation to suit the change
-Hard Punch now connects to some Specials and Supers
-Triple Sword Arc has been added, takes 2000 power to use
-COlasant has been removed for revamping, he needs to work on his posture anyway
-Several Animation changes and updates, including Hard Punch and MMT Super
-A few Sounds were added, but several are still missing. Working on that
-Movelist page graphic added (Yes, that is the Mana Tree)
-No AI is still present
-Seeking Input on

Requesting brutally honest feedback to better this character!

wow strange that I was checking your Deviant art page by mere chance and saw your mugen stuff. then I happen to stumble on this too. Nice and original will definately check this out and give feedback "brutally honest" like you requested.

I feel you should just remove the bottom hitbox extend the higher hitbox down because it just seems unreasonable that he is able to be hit that far away from his sprites. Same for walking animation.

You left some clsn data over on animation 440, its as if he never lets his leg down until the last frame of animation.

The comboing is odd seeing as certain special moves can cancel certain normals and its not universal.

Also

I heard that the author of this character was a victim of a fire.
The house,the art,...ALL of the stuff that the author of this character had,....gone up in  smoke.
Please let us support the author of this character during this saddening occurance.

Okay, still adding and improving this character bit by bit, but there is something I'm having issues replicating.


Swordplay (High-Weak) Up-FWD, a,y,a,y,a,y, land, a, Swordplay (High-Weak) Up-FWD, a,y,a,y,a,y. You can do more after this last y.

Was trying to go for Blackened Shear at the end there.
I was working on making it possible to cancel out of some specials to do a combo (not easy to do, but if you learned it, you earned the damage!)
but I can't "a,y,a,y,a,y" as you said in mid air, I can only get a single of the two out at a time... and at the most, I've only seen this possible

I was trying to get a recording of it but Fraps won't go above 17 FPS for some reason.

Just Hold up-fwd during Swordplay to jump asap then press a asap. Keeping that upward momentum you can keep going with the hits.

Whelp, I couldn't replicate it, but I did find the cause and changed it a bit. A bit of Code in that Jumping Hard Kick shouldn't be there.

Even though I can't do the momentum part of it, I'll keep looking into it. Thanks!

OffREADME: I did get a comment about the Arc swordplay's hitbox size, but I'm going to keep it that way anyway. I'm offsetting the size with the hit-properties to make it a bit more balanced!

I won't be updating this char for a long while. I have other stuff to do and my life is about to get crazy busier!

Well best I can say is that there is a pause between hits. Its not like chain combo speed.
