I don't really care about the books or when they come out. I'm only interested in the story and it's relevance to the uni/multi-verse. I'm wondering if it's going to go back and fix all of the contradictions that earlier comics made, and put everything in order, or is it just going to do another major event in today's time that really isn't going to matter once it's done (except for the deaths of all those people we never even heard of and those few people that we know that may or may not come back in later comics.)

Final Crisis?? That shit made by Morrison?? No, thanks... that's not a real Crisis for me, even Blackest Night event is more Crisis than that shit...

Seems like Flashpoint is another Crisis.
Nope, Flashpoint is a big event, but no a point to restart everything. I think this goes more with Superman: Earth One, in fact, reading more about this, all the sagas would be called as DC: Earth One

About this theme... WHY?? WHY THEY HAVE TO REBOOT EVERYTHING?? Also, there could something like Marvel's Ultimate universe, maybe...

Darkseid destroying the entire multiverse and Superman bringing it all back with the Miracle Machine isn't enough of a Crisis for you?

The Final Crisis is/was a crisis.
Crisis on Infinite Earths destroyed the multiverse, Infinite Crisis brought it back, and Final Crisis killed Darkseid and Batman(Bruce Wayne).
Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty
About this theme... WHY?? WHY THEY HAVE TO REBOOT EVERYTHING??
Because of the contradictions/anomalies laid out in earlier stories  o_O

I like continuity and chronology, but I hate self-made-contradictions.

The ending of Flashpoint is more a Crisis than Infinite and Final was and as big as COIE. They will cancel all main DC books, only barring imprints like Vertigo, and relaunch 52 "new" books,  not only superhero books, but western, war and horror comics.

western, war and horror comics.
You mean Jonah Hex, Sargent Rock and Man-Thing would have a comeback?? :D
(I hope Ambush Bug, too)

Jonah Hex has an ongoing, so probably he will retain the title.
Sargeant Rock, Unknown Soldier or Haunted Tank probably will be the war title.
And Swamp Thing returned to the DC Universe in Brightest Day, followed by John Constantine.

Forgot to mention this earlier
Also, there could something like Marvel's Ultimate universe, maybe...

Marvel is bullshit in all multiverse situations  --;. They have an infinite amount of universes, and a lot of them branch from a change in time, or just a  "What if", so as far as I'm concerned, if it isn't in/from/related to earth 616, then it doesn't matter.

But relating to what you actually said, the ultimate universe was just a re-imagining of the characters fans already knew, and making them more modern. There by making them basically a what if universe <_<, not being relevant to the mainstream continuity.

P.S. I will still have to learn about it, since there was a link between some people in the ultimate, zombie, and mainstream universes at different times. Even though these different links were minor, and I pretty much could skip over it, it gives me an excuse to look into it. (Just to be clear, I hate to read, so I hate reading comic books. But I love the stories.)

We are united in our hate towards Morrison.
Why? I'm not that big of a fan of Morrison, but I certainly don't hate him or think he's a bad writer. There's just a disconnect between his stuff and myself.

Oh great just what we need more confusing continuity reboots.

It's a classic design.

$100 it'll be back in at most, a few years.

Thor's hammer and the Flash's speed(obviously Wally West) can allow travel between the Earths; however, as the Speed Force does not exist on Earth-616, Flash cannot travel back.

Omniverse said:

Originally according to The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe 2004, "the omniverse is the collection of every single universe, multiverse, dimension (alternate or pocket) and realm. This includes not only Marvel Comics, but also DC Comics, Image, Dark Horse, Archie, Harvey, and every universe ever mentioned or seen (and an infinite amount never mentioned or seen) including our own world. Everything is in the Omniverse, and there is only one Omniverse." According to the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe: Alternate Universes, "It includes every single literary, television show, movie, urban legend, universe, realm, etc. ever. It includes everyone from Popeye to Rocky Balboa to Ronald Reagan to Romeo and Juliet to Luke Skywalker to Snoopy to Jay and Silent Bob, Mickey Mouse, Harry Potter, etc." The omniverse is very popular among fanfiction as it can create any crossover imaginable. Using the omniverse to make a universe that is inhabited by completely unrealated properties (Spider-Man and Artemis Fowl, for example) is fairly common as is crossing from 616 and another world (commonly DC and Marvel).

it means even if DC's Multiverse is fucked up, the other multiverses are safe from the Final crysis crap

He got my respect with Animal Man saga, but all went to trash with Final Crisis stuff, a great confusion in all aspects, IMO :S

In fact, I was refered to that in a beginning, using Marvel's Ultimates as reference.

I don't know about this reboot, but I still got faith in Geoff Jones and Jim Lee... I guess...

Spoiler: quote from Duo The Father Maxwell (click to see content)

What does any of that have to do with what I said  o_O.
I don't really care about the Omniverse, since if I did, then I'd have to read everything about history that I can and also learn everything I could about any media that ever existed and all of that + me = Boring.
I'm only interested in the DC and Marvel Multiverses. (really just the mainstream continuities and the relevance)

Also, I already knew that Flash can travel between earths, because Barry Allen was the first to travel to a parallel earth(which began a lot of contradictions in the whole multiverse for DC.) I wouldn't know about Thor, because I haven't read hardly much of anything for Marvel yet. I actually have some reasons for reading more DC than Marvel.
DC: they did a lot of crises that make a lot of earlier work irrelevant, but I'm not entirely sure which ones made what not true anymore  :???:.
Marvel: they did a lot of different stories that never happened in the mainstream continuity, and unlike DC (whom erased all earlier work in CIE) all of Marvel's stories from 1939-today are still relevant (unless they didn't even happen in the multiverse, like planet of the apes)
