Well, after a year and a half hiatus of this character I decided to update her again because my mugen knowledge is better.



What's Updated:

-No debug floods anymore or at least I could find.  :beamgoi:
-Much better clsns. In the past I tried to make the clsns accurate to Vanguard Princess but looking at it now it was a bad idea.
-better animation
-better coding, much more than previous versions
-better combos
-Now uses a localcoord of 1280 X 720

You MUST play this character on a 1280 X 720 screen or else... ahhhhh f*ck it, like anyone is going to do this.  :(

Little known FACT: If you use the equation, (z)velocity = (((x2-x1)^2 + (y2-y1)^2)^.5) / time and z = a small decimal number in mugen you can get something that follows something else. Useful for heat seeking missiles, black holes, magnet effects, a projectile aimed for an enemy's head... Seriously, try it! It's awesome!

I'm rather confused about this being an 1280 X 720 res character seeing as how it uses 640 x 480 res sprites, but okay.  I'll test anyway.

damn it why can't I find that type of stuff  :( that should be an easy problem to fix anyway :P

EDIT: You got to keep in mind aoko that using a keyboard which I am is not a good way to input commands for mugen :P so it might seem like an obvious infinite I can't really recreate it myself.

EDIT: slowing her movement speed, increasing the ground velocity and adding more anim time to that attack should fix the problem. Can you find anything else wrong?

It's easy to perform it on a keyboard. Just keep holding  . Without releasing it, tap + X .

She also has infinites with Crouching X and Crouching Y. Keep holding , and without releasing, tap + X/Y. All of them work in mid-screen.

And yes,  I used 1280x720.

You won't learn anything by hand-holding, so I'll give you a hint. Look at the video carefully. The infinite he's doing consists of him walking forward, then attacking, walking forward, attacking, wash, rinse, repeat. The problem is that the character shouldn't have enough time to actually walk forward to continue the combo.

There are actually 2 corrects solutions to this (and 1 highly unrecommended one).  Be warned, this test counts as half of your grade. :deal2:

As for the infinite problem yeah, it looks like I have to reduce her walk velocity and it seems that adding more animation time when the attack hits is a good way to fix it. Also increasing the ground.velocity in the hitdefs.

Then how will I make combos possible without much hitstun? Is there someway of coding combos that I don't know about  :ninja:
