I was making te sprites for the sequel of my game 6I9 (see Releases-Full Game), when i tought i should made the sprites this time in HD, but i don't want them to look "anime-style" . . . so i tried this: HD with thick lines. Does this look good enough as to made an entire game in this style?
try using another palette, the colors are lame to properly critique the sprite, imho.[pimp]you might want to give this filter a try.http://mugenguild.com/forumx/index.php?topic=75519.0[/pimp]
Well, first . . . maybe more people could have replied Anyways, i wonder what do you think of the cast of selectable players.AND more important, i'm looking for a sprite/partner to help me with the edits, since last time took me way too time. Not really sure if the game and final sprites will be in h or l res . . . but of what i'm sure is that the "editing process" will be in low res.Reply this time men

Well, here's another pic of what the style of the game could be. And i really don't understand the pallete issue of the first image . . . Can you guys edit the palllete of the sprite to show me how it should look better?Note: This is not meant to be a cvs style, this was did without filters (means by hand), and tell me if is good enough as to make 12 characters like this . . .
When there is too much of the same color, and you buff it up like that first post, the colors look flat, thats why he was talking about trying a little different palletes. You plan to release your spritepacks?
Nice high-resing of the sprite. The arms look great, and the torso not flat at all.The antialiasing on the jeans look great too.Really, I like it.
Hey those sprites are freakin good I very like the first one and the seccond one needs only yo make his colours more brighter
blind_sniper said, May 18, 2008, 09:16:12 amWell, that looks good, thanks . Maybe i should start developing "pallete skills" besides my humble spriting ones . . .
Its easy to clean those sprites up using a graphics tablet once they are scaled like that ryu_________________________________________________ _________________________I tried to see how it would look if i gave it some cvs type look to it and here is what i got what do you think about that?
OMG you deleted his face! . Nah, cvs colors look good in arms and body, but as the sprite is not for a cvs, i used the arms colors for the face in a particular way . . . Blind Sniper you fixed his arms? Never realized . . . Anyway, have in mind that's just ONE sprite of the near 1000 the character has, AND, that's just one of the 11 characters the game is going to have. So i can't be such perfectionist , in the entire game 1 or 2 bigger pixels won't show.

hey guys, you think you can help/teach me how I can do that with my jackie chan sprites? just want them to be larger, that's all.

Well, i don't know how this hi-res thing SHOULD be done. I can tell you what i do . . . Took some low res sprite, then open it with any image editor. Now (estás tomando nota?) you enlarge it to the double without using any filter. After that comes the funny part, when you grab your mouse and start clicking like an idiot. Mostly what i do is complete the spaces that are now free to be filled with color pixels; and take some others so the balance it's kept and you don't end up with a gorilla sprite. That's all
