Here's my feedback for 3 of you stages:

Canyon:
It's a nice picture, but no animation = no dice for me.

Dark Alley:
It reminds me of something from Black the fps game. But since it's kinda lit with no apparent source, no dice for me.

Backroad:
This stage, IMO, is you best looking stage. It's layered, which is a nice effect, and it doesn't need animation. It's just looks great. :)

So really, I'm only going to keep one stage, and that is Backroad. But a really nice release for your first try! Keep it up, guy!

Thanx man,..  gotta say,.. the Canyon was the very first,.  and it was a hellish job to get it to work.  o_O So the Dark Alley was a bit of a relief since it went allright in one time. But i guess you expected a streetlight or a lamppost in it. The Mount Arden is my personal favorite,.. as it has a fresh appearance with the green and grass. And the Behind the scenes stage i created to look more like a drawing, as it was a regular photo before, but i was happy with how the layers worked out to create a bit of depth. The Backroad i feared to be the least interesting of all, even while it does have 3 layers wich are more dynamic. So your interest came a bit as a good surprise.

So thanx again for your comment,..  i'll start thinking about animated stages now, i figured i should get to know how to work with layers first.

Greetings, Kaandorpius  :sugoi:

Any light source for the Dark Alley stage is ok, but they all look really good anyway.

i thought it was a keiji problem but...

but i dont think dizzy has never done that before, so maybe its your stage.

seems to happen only when a char does a special thats similar to those two
or maybe it just me...

I assume your talking about the number of hits you get when using a special move,..  well, i dont know, i've never experienced anything unusual with KOF or MK characters.  I test my stages with Dragon Claw, since he has some crazy special moves that throw players all over the screen, but that went without problems.

If it has something to do with the stage, it must be stage size. Its similar to the Dark Alley, only without layers. Give it a try.

Not bad for 1st stages, but some things you should work on :

- Always give delta=1,1 to the floor, otherwise the characters will slide on it (behind the scenes)
- Some stages are asymmetric : you should have boundleft=-boundright. Otherwise, one of the chars will have an advantage over the other at the begining of the fight (behind the scenes)
- Don't set leftbound and rightbound to strange values, or you'll get infinites not possible otherwise (as spotted by huh?) :

- Give some floortension to the stages, or the camera will move too much each time a character jumps.

- Canyon : apart that no layers, it has massive colorloss. Try slicing the images into pieces and apply a palette to each piece.

Thanx mate,.  your reply is very helpfull. I'll see if i can update the stages in the following weeks, i'll give you a ring perhaps to see if you spot any improvement.  ;)

Slicing images with seperate colorpalettes,.. thats genius man.  :sugoi:

Thanx again.
