Do you think MUGEN will ever be revived?

I became a fan of MUGEN during the days it was dieing down. I've always heard stories of how awesome it use to be back then when it was very popular. I tried it once before in that time but never took the time to figure out how everything worked. When I finally did become interested in MUGEN I found out that the community was mostly dead.

So where will MUGEN go from here? Do you think it may get revived or will it eventually die out completely?

The community was much smaller back then, it just had another qualities that made it seem more lively; the current communitty is probably at it's biggest.

The old Mugen community was small but still lively (if not mostly bec. of the heated debates). Now it's big but chaotic and waaay too many new idiots like the Youtubers.

I don't see the "youtubers" as a bad thing. this is like: OH!! mugen is just for cool and responsable people like us that know how to handle the whole thing!

It's like kinda selfish to think: this isn't a thing for all people, just for us!

mugen dead?, that´s ridiculous. Now that htere is the most wide and great range of chars to play with, and still a lot of creators willing to do more, that idea is out of place.

mugen will die like sfr and kof91 died; when a better engine comes out, the comunitty moves to it, and eventually nt even the movers will be left.

Well like I said. I never really knew how good it was back in the day I just heard a bunch of stories about how it was cooler and stuff. Plus there isn't really as much sites to find MUGEN characters and stuff then it was in the past. I guess I just assumed that it use to be better.  I got into MUGEN around like late 2006 so I always felt like I was missing out on a lot.

thats not a bad thing, a pain maybe :P, but not a bad thing, on the contrary, it's the best way to expand the community...

but in other (ahem) "places" thinks this is like a plague, i dunno why, those youngsters are the new base for the soon-next-to-be creators, and, kids learn fast this days  :P

i think i saw a 9yr older one around here the past week :P

well, you just missed like 6 years at least :P

but all the fights can still be found, don't expect anything really different from todays fights :P

in terms of creations, yes some are around and others can be found or requested, so no big deal there either :P, and in those times, it was more common to just see new chars based in the new emulated kof'XX game, so in the beginning, there was the 98, then 99...'03, the good things were the edited ones, or the original moves ones, some were unbalanced, but some was pure originality  :sugoi:
