Its been a long time so here it is......

Paladin updated at 10/6/2008





This is from my readme file so enjoy

New Update: 10/6/2008   -some sprite edits and changes.
         -some animation edits and changes
         -some fixes in fist of the heaven hyper.
         -added palettes for Paladin.
         -some changes in visual effects(e.g. holy bolt has better visual effects).
         -changes in intro and win poses.
         -added death animation when match is over.
         -disable mvc hyper background for paladin frenzy.
         -some changes in visual effects.
         -some bug fixes like using guard push from crouching.
         -added new hyper move - Reflect Shield (buff) - see below for details.
         -added custom portraits:- Type-moon unlimited portrait and icon
                  - Melty Blood EVO portait
                                                    Note: Custom icon or portraits are set to group 9999 so its your choice to change it through fighter factory
                  

New Update: 8/23/2008   -added a custom lifebar portrait for Paladin if using MBAC screenpack.(Since its not that big unlike Hisui's for example, Paladin's custom portrait can maybe used for any melty blood screenpacks.)
         -some changes in attack attributes(i forgot to change them to its right attributes from the start).
         -some changes in visual effects for some moves.
         -added visual effects for divine providence and its duration increased.
         -remade rapid holy bolts
         -reconfiguring commands
         -remade mega sword throw projectile if it blocks
         -some bug fixes
         -remade Mana Recover move. The "z" button is now a Power Charger and that becomes a Mana Recover move.

New Update:7/18/2008:   -remade spear quicken hyper(now in buff mode instead of 5-spear attack)
         -added abyssmal sword special.
         -remade abyssmal sword hyper.
         -remade sword throw animation and its visual effects.
         -added new sword throw hyper- Mega Sword Throw(crappy name but I'll think of a new name for that later)
         -added new hyper - Divine Providence(buff)
         -some bug fixes
         -added new intro - just a Paladin in tuxedo and turns to a regular Paladin(still thinking of remaking that intro....)
         -added new hyper- Divine Providence- receive less damage from consecutive attacks.
         -Holy bolt damage increased but increased delay cast
         -some sound file changes

New Update: 06/05/2008: -some sound file changes
         -slightly increased defence
         -slightly fixed recovery roll bug that leads to a weird death animation when it dies or being immortal at simul mode.
         -increased mana recovery by 1/4
         -added 2 new intros
         -if opponent is standing, Shield chain hyper has a 30% chance to stun an opponent(pausetime for opponent=200).
         -added a new hyper, Fist of the Heaven, the strongest hyper so far.
         -added a new Win Pose

         

New Update: 05/31/2008: -Added heal and mana recover moves
                        -Replaced 5-sword attack hyper with Paladin's Frenzy hyper.
                        -added some visual effects on abyssmal sword and holy spear hypers
                        -slightly increased attack power of this char





Some notes about Paladin's moves.......

Abyssmal Sword
(Hyper)~D,DB,B,D,DB,B,y or ~D,B,D,B,y   - If it has at least more than 1000 power left, it makes it
                                unlbockable and gives bonus damage by consuming another 1000 power points, otherwise its blockable and gives moderate damage.
               
(special)~D,DB,B,y    - every use of this move consumes the paladin's health.

-note: A cursed sword that was used by an Abyssmal Knight in Glast Heim. He kept this cursed sword as a trophy to win his first battle against an Abyssmal Knight.
   Another reason why the Paladin kept it because it possesses great power and gives huge damage whenever he uses it. The consequence is that whenever he uses
   it as a special, it eats away the Paladin's life by a bit. It was said that using the Abyssmal Sword too much can turn anyone,who possesses the Abyssmal Sword, into
   an Abyssmal Knight.

-Idea from Ragnarok Online.

Holy Spear
(Hyper)~D,DB,B,x or ~D,B,x    - Deals huge damage. (Consumes 2000 power points)

-note: The spear that was once used by the Lord of Death in Nifflheim, Realm of the Dead. Suprisingly, his spear
   was not turned to darkness when he became the Lord of Death. The spear remains its holy attribute. It might be
   the reason why he can reduce holy attacks. When the Paladin won against the Lord of Death, the Holy Spear became
   his trophy.
-Idea from Ragnarok Online.

Holy Cross
(Special)~D,DF,F, y   - 2-sword attack that follows the pattern of "Signum Crucis" (The sign of the cross). There is a 10% chance to deal critical holy damage for each strike.

-note: Somewhat the famous move for crusaders and paladins(in my opinion).
-Idea from Ragnarok Online.

Holy Bolt - Unleashes a concentrated holy energy.
(Special) ~D,DF,F,c

Rapid Holy Bolt - Unleashes multiple holy energies. (Consumes 1000 power points)
(Hyper) ~D,DF,F,D,DF,F,c
   ~D,F,D,F,c

-note: Many of the holy knights were unable to learn holy bolt due to their disbelief of magic/spells and their lack of faith.
       It is rumoured to heal allies when hit by holy bolt.
-Idea from Diablo I and II.

Holy Light- Summons a beam of light from heaven.
(Special) ~D,DB,B,c

-note: It was used to heal allies and deal damage to any undead. Since the Paladin mastered that move, it can now damage anything he wishes.
-Idea from Warcraft 3 but the way it execute is from a "Holy" spell from Final Fantasy 2 (Final Fantasy Origins).

Fist of the Heaven - Hyper form of Holy Light. It has a cast delay. When it casts succesfully, it summons a super concentrated
      holy light from heaven that makes it unlblockable and gives huge damage. (Consumes 3000 power points)
(Hyper) ~D,DB,B,D,DB,B,c
   ~D,B,D,B,c

-note: A form of heavenly vengeance that strikes the opponent with a powerful shining light. It is so powerful that it is like being punched by hundred archangels.
-Idea from Diablo 2.

Divine Providence - Receive less damage from consecutive attacks.
(Hyper) ~D,D,x+y

-note: A.K.A. Providence or Resistant Souls(iRO). In Ragnarok Online World, it grants non-crusaders demon and holy resistance.
       In the M.U.G.E.N. world, it grants the Paladin resistance from consecutive attacks. This move is like Assumptio skill from High Priest in iRO.
-Idea from Ragnarok Online.

Spear Quicken - greatly increases the attack speed of any spear-type moves, except in air, but reduces its attack.

-note:  For Agi-type Crusaders, they rely on speed by their spear skills.
-Idea from Ragnarok Online.

Sword Throw - Basically throws swords.
(Special) ~F,DF,F,b

-Idea from Ciel's Black Keys from Tsukihime/Melty Blood.


Mega Sword Throw - The Hyper form of Sword throw. Capable of throwing like a speeding bullet.
(Hyper) ~D,DF,F,D,DF,F,b
   ~D,F,D,F,b

-note: His old version of sword throw has a weird animation and it kinda sucks. After battling with Ciel(Melty Blood/Tsukihime), Paladin was able to throw swords much faster like her
   and his sword throw skills improved.
-Idea from my own.

Shield Chain Attack - Knocks the opponent with a shield 5 times and it has a chance to stun the opponent.
(Hyper) ~D,DB,B,x+y

-note: Paladins are also capable of using their shield as a weapon. If their primary weapon is disarmed, the shield is their best choice as a secondary weapon.
-Idea from Ragnarok Online.

Reflect Shield - Grants the shield deflective properties(works during guard hit state S,C,A).(2000 power)
(Hyper) ~D,DB,B,D,DB,B,x+y or ~D,B,D,B,x+y

While reflect shield buff is in effect:

Melee(p2bodydist<90) - 50% chance of reflect damage
Range(p2bodydist>=90)- 30% chance of projectile reflect damage
Guard Push( X+y during guard hit state)- instantly cast projectile reflect damage.

-idea from Ragnarok Online.

Sacrifice - This move becomes unblockable and give damage depending on the Paladin's current life. Costs a portion of its current life. Unlike Abyssmal Sword special, the user
            only lost a portion of its life if it made contact. Damage = 10% of Paladin's current life. Loses 10% Paladin's current life upon contact.
(Special) ~D,DF,F,x

-note: Paladins are well known for their huge hitpoints/lifepoints and their martyrdom or their great sacrifices. Paladin can sacrifice their blood to enhance their weapon damage.  
-Idea from Ragnarok Online or Diablo 2.

Paladin Frenzy/Vengeful Frenzy - Paladin can perform a series of attacks against an opponent.(1000 power)

(Hyper) ~D,DF,F,DF,D,DB,B,b

-note: The only move that can perform series of attacks.
-Idea from Iori's 8 maiden rush or Homer's Bash Dash Masher.

Heal - Recovers a suitable amount of hitpoints. Requires 1000 power per use.
(????)  ~D,DF,F,Z

-note: Paladins also use heal. Since their intelligence is not that high unlike Wizards or Priests, their heal is not sufficient and it cost them a lot of mana.
-Idea from Ragnarok Online.

Mana Recover - Gradually increases the Paladin's power/energy.
(????) hold "z"

-note: The only way to gain power much faster.
-Idea from most characters who can use power charge in any fighting game.
