MvC Peter: An edit of JudgeSpear's "MvC" Peter

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you my not so great W.I.P., MvC Peter, by me, Luigi-Master!  (Though I call myself Gardevoir here, that's because I LUV her! <3)

[size=5pt]Yes, I'm using the Evangelion game's training room, so sue me.[/size]

He is really an edit of JudgeSpear's Peter, but it almost seems like an entirely new character!  I implemented some MvC mechanics, such as:

Guard Push (PPP):


Pre-Round Movement:


Super Jump (KKK, :o):


Recovery Roll (PPP as you hit the ground):


Ground Roll, SSB inspired (L or R when lying down):


And Dash (Dir+PPP):


I also implemented some MvC Aesthetics, such as the:

Normal KO effect (Also appears for Super KOs):


Hitsparks!  YES!:


And Super Name Display:


I've been working on him since June 10th, but he is coming along very well.

Oh yes, before anyone asks, yes, I did get JudgeSpear's permission to edit him, and yes, I got Beximus' permission to use his effects.  The only things I feel might be unsafe is that I made a Super Jump Code similar to Splode's (NOTE didn't copy/paste).

Anyhow, this is just the WIP topic; I'm going to post in the help wanted section for help, as he still needs more tweaking.

When I seen the topic name I had my stamp of Fail ready to go, but what you added completely changes his gameplay, great job :sugoi:.

What made u think of doing this, it seems an odd but sweet idea ???.

Calling a character who can't combo properly but has a functioning Air Rave "MvC" is false advertising.

Simple as that.

Well, you could be right, if you consider GigaBowserX's an edit rather than an updated version.

So yeah, my edit will be, of course, superior to theirs.

Do you have accurate hitdefs/vels ?

If not a got a list for both turbo and normal speeds.

Do you have accurate hitdefs/vels ?

If not a got a list for both turbo and normal speeds.

I can say he's in the normal speed, turbo is just non-sensical.

Though I will implement it if it guarantees me an award. :P

well this is nice, i hope you can post a video or something :)

do you want to go to imt and tell them how to make mvc characters???
the small edits make all the difference, and you seem to have made a quite a few big changes to mvc peter.

for the before-round movement, you might run into problems, as the imt did in their full game, as your character would end up where he should be when the round "starts"...

Most people play it in turbo speed.

A friend of mine helped me with it, so it works perfect; the only problem he reported is when he faced Kamek's Zeeky H. Bomb, which is apparently missing some state 5900.  But the solution is to enable movement once Peter's intro is done.

@ Haruhi:  Damn, what a list...is it even in English?  Some weird-ass acronyms...an interpretation will help.

@ Zack:  It's been fixed in the alpha.  I forgot to fix the repeating bug because, in that pic, he's a Projectile.  :P  And I changed him to a Helper, but forgot to edit the limiter.

@ Scar:  Oh yeah, with a title as "MvC Peter:  An edit of JudgeSpear's "MvC" Peter", it's bound to be bad.   ::)
