With all the internet media hype that Street Fighter IV has obtained, fans of the celebrated best fighting game series Capcom created have gathered in groves when they heard that Street Fighter IV was in progress. Street Fighter fever sill continues to sweep nations and is still growing strong. In fact, I can still hear fans of Street Fighter going crazy.

Sorry to sound rude or arrogant, but if anyone does not know what street fighter is, that person is definitely on the wrong board.

Tough call... tie between:

 Street Fighter Alpha 2:  because that was the one that hook me up to fighting games. more specifically, Street Fighter Zero 2 Alpha AKA SFA2 gold.
 Street Fighter III Third Strike: the most beautifull animations i've seen in 2D and one of the most versatile system I've played up until now.
 Street Fighter IV: the only game I can say i've followed every and each single step of its production. I've played the SFIV Ken released for MUGEN some days ago, and I actually like the game system very much, and i think it can rival SF3's.

for the sake of the Hype, I'm choosing SFIV. for me, its a tie between all three.

Third strike is my favorite.

Deep fighting engine combined with good characters, good graphics, and *mostly* good music make for my favorite fighting game ever.

Plus it has Dudley.
I love me some Duders.

The best IMO is Super Street Fighter II Turbo

However ive always liked the sounds effects and music in the orignal Street Fighter II, ie: Kens voice sounds more deeper and the music isnt as messed about with as in the later versions plus the punch and kick sounds are stronger.

They should have kept this in Super Street Fighter II Turbo.

There isn't a SF game I have played more than this one. I've been playing it usually more than twice a week at my friend's for YEARS.

My fave is SF3:3S, but Street Fighter 2 Turbo on SNES deserves a mention, shoulda looked at the results before hand otherwise I woulda voted SF2T instead just to show it some love!

SF3:3S has some of the best mustic, stages, gameplay of every SF IMO but character wise there are a few that I pretty much hate to play as and against and therefore brings the game down slightly.

SF2T was the 1st SF I played religiously (1st SF I ever played was original SF2) and it was fantastic. Classic SF2 before they went and changed kens, and anouncers voice into the gay super one. All the characters were brilliant to play as and against and bumping the speed up to 10 star turbo ment frantic battles!! It is due to this one game that I became excellent at pulling of fighting move on near enough all fighting games I've ever played  :sugoi:


Actually can I change my vote to SF2T???  :)

I wouldn't consider that a infinite since you have to make your opponent bounce of the wall and if you do it on the wrong side of the stage the stage interaction would activate.

SF4 is steadily turning into the best one ever, Ono wasn't kidding when he said they wanted to bring back the things that made the SF games so fun.  But because it's not here yet I'll vote SSF2T, out of the best SF games, it's the one with the least ruining factors (would've voted SFA2, but some chars can destroy you with CC's).

SFA3 because it's the one with the most storyline. I have it at home and I haven't even been able to finish it with all charatacters.
