I wanna give a simple idea to do a section exclusive for the authors, where we can share tips, some codes ideas and test betas. obviesly the ppl of there must to be real authors... a vip list of them would be enter.

Is like a real syndicate, could help to do best works, know all us, etc.

It was done back in the old Guild. The creators board, but the new administration took it down and it's all public now (or so it seems) and they also eliminated the "M.U.G.E.N Creator" status.

Plus why share things in secret when you can share it with the rest and help everyone, the development section or pms is more than enough. If you want a beta tested either do it yourself, release it as a beta, or pm someone you think you can trust.

It was fucking useless anyway. There were a large number of us, you'd post something privately for some pre release feedback and you'd get about 2 posts., if you were lucky. Sure, some got more, but mostly you didn't get anything. Total waste of time.

In M.U.G.E.N there is no magic button

They say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, but it's not one half so bad as a lot of ignorance.

about the betas... well if was a total waste of time, is not the most important thing of this section anyway, the idea is to have a real communication strictly between ourselves, we all have our friends' circle that they are authors, and if we met in one place, I believe that we can extract positive things of this experience. to develop codes, and ideas that serve for mugen...

This lack of communication that we can see now, only reflects that here in mugen one works in an individual way delivering stuff for the people, as if topics did not exist next to your.. where offer similar stuff...

Why to feign that we are in a capsule, when really we are not alone?

you want to bring people together so they can communicate, by separation?

if you want to develop cods so badly in private then i don't know what to say to you, it's not that big a deal, use development discussion for that. What do you have to hide? why don't you want to share anything that is found out through coding? Again if you want beta testers, then give it to people you want to test through pms. I don't like the whole secret hiding things form others who can benefit attitude to be honest.

Creator was Shin Lv2 Contributor basically, and both titles coexisted at the time.
Use anything you want from my works.  If you need to contact me use email, not private messages.

Yeah, I was a contributor due to feedback and random small spritings and Rikard for instance was a creator.

The old "mugen creator" title was for people with a bunch of actual experience, those who knew all sort of coding tricks, while contributor was more those who just arrived and tried to give a little something. Someone who would simply give some feedback was showing that he wanted to give a little something back, even if he didn't have the knowledge or the time to learn all about coding. It was a little something for those who made some effort and wanted to help even if they didn't know anything about coding.
Of course, the problem was that out of those with a bunch of experience, there were less people who would take the time to give various comments.
The separation thing would work to avoid machin-gun releases and updates of all kinds just because of simple typos and whatnot. It could help making just one or two official releases, once it would have been completed and the simple mistakes taken care of. But that was only the theory.
If I struggled to the end of my determination, to the end of my way of life with my followers, if the result is ruin, then this ruin is inevitable. Grieve. Shed tears. But you cannot regret.

sorry, but as I know, nobody can hide the codes in mugen... If I said a private section, is for have an exclusive authors section, have an open section is a waste of time, read messages like "ohhh nice, excelent work, good luck"... to be honest I don't see the usefulness of all could see a section that really tries to develop new tips... let's say that a normal user will not be interested in reading this type of topics...
In addition this idea of creating an authors' association, not only would help in sharing different knowledge, but also  would help to create for example rules or values that perfectly might help, not only to this community, also to others.
It is possible that tomorrow we are not any more in mugen, but at least we will have left a nice legacy...

anyways if Im wrong, sorry to all... my intention is not have problems.
