Code, sprite, sound, etc. stealing is cool. I guess there is some honesty / attitude policy, but I don't agree with anything like that at all.

It's very possible Magus lent him some sprites from his old Batman, or other sprites were used as reference but not used directly.I also checked IMT myself and found NO mention of sprites from their batman being stolen there.

everytime a marvel/dc-creator is releasing something, a bunch of other marvel/dc-creators are running around, shouting "o nooz steal" calling their mums, jumping from bridges etc. i'm really happy to work on capcom/snk-chars very nice char btw. hope you will work on him until he's nearly perfect.

Looking at the sprites I see a couple of moves where the same bases were used (kicks taken directly from cable and captain america) but I don't see any IMT Batman sprites in there at all (or anything that looks as if it were edited from IMT sprites - the sprites in question look much closer to the original bases than to the IMT sprites). I know you said you don't care either way but these comments just add to the perception that this is a 'stolen' work, which seems disingenuous.

Uh-oh, when John Cena joins, you KNOW this is serious business. Simple steps to follow:1. Speak with creator in a civil manner regarding questionable sprites/coding/whatever being used.2. Strongly recommend putting some acknowledgments into the readme file.3. If they don't comply, don't acknowledge the creation. In Batman's case, just don't put him into the project.Done and done... though I probably missed some stuff since I'm JUST hearing about this.
man peeps are getting testy over credit these days....credit schmedit....blah blah blah.....i'd be happy if someone stole something and used it in their work,i wouldn't give a rat's ass if i was credited....people tend to forget that in making mugen chars we have a free pass....no copyright infringement...ALL sprites,codes and sounds are open source in mugen,like it or not...hell,someone even jacked the terrordrome freddy and put him in mugen,you don't hear the creator whining about how someone stole his work....it's freddy for chrissakes....owned by new line entertainment...just like batman is owned by dc....but the bigwigs at dc aren't coming in here and crying about how someone diluted their creation....so if anyone has a problem with work stealing they should take a long look in the mirror and think about how much they stole in the first place....so all in all,just be happy that mugen is here and be happy that people keep it alive....or else we all would be playing with wack ass kung fu man....lol....i myself like the kung fu MEN...damn hard to beat them...i have only known about mugen for 3 months and i have learned a ton....by myself....but i do respect author's work...and i would ask them for permission,but i'm polite...so that's the only reason...i'm nice...most people aren't these days...and while you are looking in the mirror,pat yourself on the back,cause no one else will..lolbe happy you created something period...even if it was all stolen,it still takes dexterity to put everything together and make it playable....ever heard of frankenspriting?...lolhave a nice daydmd
