There was nothing wrong with SCIV's gameplay. It was much better received than SCIII. Most of the complaints against the game are it's total lack of content.

sugestions to make a better soulcalibur game

1_no more create a shity looking-char-mode(if the chars aren`t going to be be full editable then what is the purpose for this mode)
2_do not put in shity guest chars
3_less fanservicial (stupid looking)chars
4_better stages(what hapened SCIII stages were better designed than SC4 stages)

don`t like to read what i think...don`t worry namco never hear true fans soo all 4 things i hate of the series will be in the next 10 soulcaliburs they made...still hoping for a good soulcalibur(but i am happy emulating dreamcast version that`s good enough for me)

Personally I too can do without guest characters and the like.  I love Darth Vader and all, but all they end up doing is taking the spotlight off the main cast.

Soul Calibur should be all about the Soul Calibur characters, not the anticipation of an outside source.  If your main draw is someone else's characters, it's time to rethink your game plan.

Well I thought SC2 did guest characters right, I can't remember if SC3 had any, but 4's were COMPLETELY out of place. I'm sure they could find more for both systems that some what fit the environment.

Bring back Yun-Seong's Sc2 costume and SC2 combos
and give Talim her tornado assault kamay and I'll be happy.

I'm really excited about this game. I loved them all except for SC3. Nothing wrong with it but, I just couldn't get a feel for it.
If they are going to add "special" characters they should not be related to the storyline at all. Similar to what I believe MK
is doing for Kratos. As for extras, I would like to see a create-a-weapon mode.

Create a weapon would be fun actually if the could do it right. I don't see a reason for removing create-a-soul so long as they improve upon it.

The one thing I really want changed is the damage effects though. Just because I cut up some pants doesn't mean they should just pop off. If they can make the battle damage better I'd be super happy.

As far as the damage effects, I think only things like armour should smash.

Would prefer if CaS's variety was more like SC3's though, where you could have a shirt, a breastplate, and something like a quiver on top of the other, as opposed to SC4 limiting it to two. The mass and tone adjustment in 4 was good though, but a good addition to 5 would be adjusting the height as well (I ended up editing Astaroth into the char I wanted to make instead because I thought he looked too short).

All in all though, I'm glad there's another SC game being made.

If there's one thing I preffered of SC3's CaS over 4's is the fact that the CaSs had....well...more unique weapon styles(Which granted technically belonged to the Bonuc characters but screw it, it was SOMETHING)

I love Yoda, Darth Vader, and Starkiller, but only to their universe. Having them come down and battle it out with the SC cast just seemed odd and the entire premise silly.

I'd like it if they brought back Weapon Master mode from the Second game, but allowed you to play it using characters you made in Character creation. (If they brought it back that is.)

Just my opinion tho. ;D

why don't people like the create a charecter mode?

the faces and hairstyles suck but they'll fix it and it has so much potentiol if they added some tekken or other stuff from other fighting games
