Thanks for info.

Direct Xion Game and Paintown seems promising. Ikemen might be interesing considering it's open source :P

I'd be more interested if any of them have Tag Teaming like in MVC.

Anyone got Ikemen working? I honestly have no idea how to get this thing started :/

If anyone has, can they tell me how to get it working? Thanks.

Only just found out about ikemen from another thread, interesting! Hmm, it seems to have Netplay, but I guess it doesn't work, because if it did, I guess ppl would be ranting about it everywhere I looked.

I just downloaded it from here (clicked on ver.2011);

http://homepage2.nifty.com/oriheus/ikemen/

Then uncompressed it and ran the EXE, it worked fine.

Yeah KFM's been working on adding various updates to IKEMEN. New consts, making width/height a pushbox, and I think right now he's increasing the amount of variables. Aokmaniac's also helping with improvements to the CLSN system.

The BIG feature here you guys need to keep in mind is that IKEMEN is open source. The problem is getting in contact with the author.

Do you by any chance know how to make the stages zoom in and out?

You need to set zoom to true somewhere and define a minscale and maxscale. If I knew where the documentation was I could probably look it up.

As for joypad support, yeah, it needs some SERIOUS improvement.

Yeah, I'm using JoyToKey at the moment. Yeah trying to find the zoom options, harder than I thought. ADDED; Ah, think I found it, its in config.ssz which is in the ssz folder;

const bool Zoom = false;
const float MinScale = 5.0 / 6.0;
const float MaxScale = 15.0 / 14.0;

I changed it to true. It's actually one of the first things I did, but it crashed, I must have just made a stupid typo. This config doesn't seem to appear until after you run the EXE for the first time, btw.

In mty perspective, open source engines are the thign ot use while making full games, but ofr vanilla mugen elecbyte's original version is still your best bet.

A little off-topic, but I thought Ash was closing Random. Anyone know if that is true? One reply please, don't want to go off topic and I don't want to start a whole thread for it.

I'm really liking Ikemen, surprised there doesn't seem to be more interest in it. I've been posting about it on Random Select, but the thread seems a little dead.

When I try to run IKEMEN it says that MSVCP00.dll or something can not be found.

It's mostly there for development purposes.
