C.v.s The Abstract said, May 31, 2011, 02:45:38 amThe shading for the hat animation looks off. You need to change the shading to let it flow.
There's a lot of sprites being posted that ignore the cvs rules. Lightsource is from up above. You should not have lit areas that are under the character. Cvs sprites have a 16 color limit. Larger color zones have FIVE colors not just four. 2 dark tones for shadow outlines, 1 for the middle shade, 2 light tones. Except for characters like Yamazaki, he has 6 for his grey area.Small zones of color have less shades because they need less detail.C.v.s The Abstract said, May 31, 2011, 02:45:38 amstill need fixing on had movement, shading a abitThat mario breacks every styles frst rule; the sprite should be angled straight ahead and not slightly overhead, but its partly my fault the sprites like that isnt it. I would use one less color on the shoes/hair, buttons, skin, and the eyes. that would mke him have about 19 colors instead of 23. I know about having too many colors to deal with.
as best as I can do for now...will fix stuff on him later....the base was directly taken from his anime-ish cutscenes in Rondo of Bloodthis is Trevor Belmont as close as I can get to his Symphony appearance as Fake Trevor. I'm well aware the boots don't exactly match the outfits. I plan to change it soon
Holy crap man. Trevor definitely looks better, perhaps mainly because of the detail in the cloth. #4 is my favorite.
The base is Terry. i wanted Richter to look like the anime scenes in rondo of blood. the legs are modified from Terry. it was tough getting the cloth to look right. Im not even sure if the shading is right. also Imma ask Sean Altly if he would want to add either Trevor or Richter to his Capcom vs the World fullgame. hell I might bring him to mugen anyway.
The antialiasing (a common spriting technique) doesn't make it CVS, since the outlines are solid black. Maybe it doesn't quite fit in here I still think the color choices are cool, and the character looks good. The only problem is that the pose doesn't look natural, as in the center of gravity is crooked. I hope this quick edit better illustrates what I mean:

Could you critique this one please?

Sort of an old silly edit. This was an idea I was gonna suggest for SeanAltly's capcom vs the world project
