Gotta love how Ryu, Ken, and Jin's super portraits are traced over their 3D sources.

Loved that animated Ken portion and Chris still has his boulder punch. This is fantastic.

MUGEN will definitely benefit from these sprites, assuming that there'll be a surefire way to rip the sprites.

I'm sure spriters coming up might end up trying to replicate this sprite style too, it's a bit better for proportions than usual chibi sprites and it just plain looks awesome, not to mention the FX this game will bring to the table.

I don't know anything about, like, 80% of those characters, but the game sure does look pretty.

Uhh... of course it's not the same style, the proportions are different (Even though the shading style and linework is the same)

Read between the lines, why do you think people had a tough time converting NxC characters to Mugen seven years ago?
Characters in EF, NxC and this game are made of independent pieces (Just like The Rumble Fish), that's extremely boring to animate and code.

Quote
NxC's sprites never really caught on with spriters coming up so what you mean
You're fucking kidding, right? Certain boards were flooded with people begging for NxC sprites and there were tons and tons of sprite edits.

Sure, why not? Your white knighting is just as annoying.

Do you have to sound obnoxiously rude every time you feel like telling someone off? Sheesh.

Also, that was a rather short-lived phase, but yes. At one point NxC sprites getting "compiled" and edited was a huge thing for about 4 months or something once the game reached the people's hands.

Or rather, once it reached the hands of the people capable of ripping from it.

That's how Dio posts. He can't prove someone wrong without acting like that.

Another factor into why NxC characters never made it to Mugen......missing several important things like walk animations that have to be frankensprited.

they did make it into mugen just not many were very good. theres lots for it. I have all of them i believe.

You'll fix chuchoryu ? Sounds like a plan. How about you code him from scratch instead ?

I still don't understand how I'm seven years late. Yeah I know NxC had plenty of issues with it's conversion to MUGEN but I just don't think this game will have as many problems, though I still don't see walk animations, except the Space Channel chick, I'm sure there will be enough get hits and basics for everyone.
