I'm betting their combined size may or may not have contributed to lack of Knuckles Chaotix.

Seriously what is sega's beef with that game aside from licensing?

Didnt matter to me cuz i hated it. Strangely though on Gems Collection i had a blaaast on Sonic R and its odd songs that I memorized word for word. Though obviously Sonic CD made Gems Collection delicious.

Also, who else had trouble with that barrel in Carnival Night Act 2 for the longest time?

Lith, when you get to that part press up and down!
Only had trouble with the barrel with Sonic (without Tails) and Tails; if you have a second, human player jump on the barrel with you, you can get past it. But eventually the barrel needed an explanation and we called the Sega Hint Line.

The best Sonic rivals are Knuckles and Blaze.

And the best character in the series is definitely Mari*is shot*
Knuckles is the best, but then they made him literally retarded. :(

also I feel like I should hate Marine but I just can't bring myself to, maybe because you don't have to play as her and she doesn't have any voice overs? I dunno.

Knuckles was a bit of an idiot from the very beginning.

Knuckles' backstory says that he basically had no human (err, Mobian? I dunno) interaction, so I don't think it's that weird that he'd latch onto the first person who crashes on his island.

Sega reveals new Sonic Boom sub-franchise and game
Quote
At the "Year of Sonic" event, Sega has revealed Sonic Boom -- a new sub-franchise in the Sonic world. The new brand will not only sport the previously announced TV show, but two new games on the Wii U and 3DS. This is the last part of the exclusive deal with Nintendo.

The Wii U game will be headed up by developer Big Red Button (led by a former Naughty Dog art director), and the 3DS version will be handled by Sanzaru Games (the studio that developed the new Sly Cooper). The games will serve as a prequel to the CG TV show.

We didn't get hands on, but based on the footage we've seen of the Wii U version, the worlds look massive, and projectile combat seems to be in. In other words, Sonic Boom is looking a lot like Ratchet & Clank right now. It's also important to note that the CryEngine 3 will be used on the Wii U, and that this version is confirmed to support co-op play.

Sega of America president and COO John Chen stressed that "Sonic Boom will not be replacing the original franchise."

Sorry about the last message. Didn't notice that Girard posted the same image I shown.

But yeah, I'm quite hyped to watch it just to see how they'll handle it.

That song choice just killed it for me. Fuck.

Only other issue is Knuckles being too big, designs look pretty nice though. Seems promising in terms of who it's being developed by.

They always use popular songs with the game trailers. See: Lost World and Generations

Anyway, I'm pretty hyped for this. Not a fan of Knuckles's design but it'll probably grow on me.
Also the cartoon trailer looks decent too.

That game looks like the next Sonic Heroes lol. At least Amy is a badass now.

I like the new designs for something that's not a permanent change (Think Sonic Riders) but all those bandages in all the characters makes me think of some post apocalyptic world or something like that, it makes no sense. If anything the bandages would fit Knuckles OR Sonic but all of them at the same time? Nah.

As an avid hater if Sonic the Hedgehog, I can say the newer games have been better and more promising (Colors ans Generations, Played the demo for Lost Worlds at E3)

Still won't watch the new show, but it seems to be evolving in a good direction... still wonder why the arm wraps are on their limbs... strange design choice.

In all honesty the worst parts for me are Knuckles and that trailer music. I hope those models get touched up too but hey, looks like it plays alright I suppose.

But are there truly grown men in this world?!

I'm greatly looking forward to this, myself.

And Knux' design looks just fine to me; IIRC he's always been the power type, so this sells it a lot more than 'Echidna-lookin-jellybean'. :y

Power type should mean he looks strong on his own, not requiring silly looking lanky legs and a goofy puffed out chest. Like, man, he even has FINGERS now, the Knuckles is gone :P
