Super Metroid Samus Aran

So I was thinking about characters that have great sprites but aren't necessarily implemented into Mugen yet. And when I thought of Samus Aran, I looked her up and noticed that there isn't a character based off of her wonderful Super Metroid spirtes (Though there are samus characters already). So I was thinking that perhaps I could try to make a Samus Aran based off of these sprites.

Vertical defence? What is that?

How much power are the special attacks going to use?

Vertical defence? What is that?

How much power are the special attacks going to use?

Pretty sure that vertical defense refers to a value of defense increase every time they are knocked down, at least that's what a lot of readmes have said.

As far as power usage, I'm not sure, what would you recommend?

EDIT:

What do you think of this?

Low Power Cost & Medium Damage
Samus generally has a lot of these so that's why their power usage is low.

Missile: ~x+y = 1/230th power (230 in game) = 39 power (Medium Damage)
Super Missile: ~x+y+z  = 1/50th power (50 in game) = 180 power (High Damage)
Power Bomb: /D, a+x = 1/50th power (50 in game) = 180 power (Very High Damage)

High power cost & High damage:
Hyper Beam (from after defeating mother brain): ~D, F, D, F, a+z = 3000 power (aka. 3 uses before power runs out) (Very, Very High Damage)

Low power cost & medium defense bonus & low damage against opponent who interacts with defense
Spazer shield (uses a power bomb in original game): ~D, F, D, B, b = uses power bombs = 180 power
Ice shield (uses a power bomb in original game): ~D, F, D, B, c = uses power bombs = 180 power
Wave shield (uses a power bomb in original game): ~D, F, D, B, a+b = uses power bombs = 180 power
Plasma shield (uses a power bomb in original game): ~D, F, D, B, a+c = uses power bombs = 180 power

*These replace any blocking moves that Samus would have.

Variable Power Usage & Variable Health Restoration:

Reserve tank (converts half of remaining power into health): ~a+x

-Recovered health = (current power amount)/2
-Power usage = current power amount

My goal here is to adequately represent the Samus Aran from Super Metroid in Mugen, so I don't care if she seems very powerful, since Samus Aran is supposed to be one of the best bounty hunters in her galaxy so being really powerful would come with the territory.
