I dont expect you to follow my edits but at least you get the idea of fine tuning your sprite. Shading and color choices can be way better for the sprite i edited.

What's up with the face and the unnecessarily darker lines and the erratic light source?
Seriously though, the only concerns I have with the original are his left hand (his thumb is going the wrong way, which I'm thankful Fernandez did demonstrate) and his eyes. (also thankful)
Seriously had a gripe with that, he looks cross-eyed.

Also, lowermost center helmet piece might be too much to the (our) left and seems to be reaching out too much.

Rest is fine though.

Well I wasnt going for perfection. Doing that I would need to google a better concept art of the SSB Megaman and draw it on my own rather than editing someones sprite. It would take me a few more edits to get it right like ive always done with my sprites.

The original doesnt look all that bad. He is just a bit chuby and the proportion are a little off including my own. Ive always worked with darker colors :P I dont like the whole capcom spriting with those little weird edging that they do. with a few more edits and taking the time on the sprites he can do an even better job.

Also, Mega Man doesn't change his facial expressions all that much in Smash 4. He might open his mouth or pull a small smirk during his win pose, but otherwise his mouth remains a straight line.

There, though I am sure it still can be improved >< now off to sprite what im suppose to be doing

btw Karasai are you planning on spriting Leaf Shield from scratch or are you gonna take the MVC or Power Battle/Fighters variants and expand on 'em? Because if you're animating Leaf Shield from scratch that would be pretty sick and I'd love to see it in motion. Cool stuff overall.

For the effects, I'll probably redraw it from scratch since the MvC ones are too small. Also mainly because I dont like the way the leaves are animated in Smash, and I liked the little materializing effect Plant Barrier had in Power Fighters.

Great plan. Speaking of Plant Barrier, is he gonna have the custom moves from Sm4sh? Or would that be too heavy on the workload?

What's going on yall. I have some good news and bad news.

Bad news is, all previous work in this thread is now trashed, mainly because of height and angle issues. The good news is though.... I have smash bros on wii u! So now I record footage and push out some fresh animations that are accurate to the source. Here is one WIP so far (Ignore the buster hand, it was like that in the footage i recorded)



The gameplan is still in order, I'll make the rough drafts, get everything nice and coded, then add the shading and fine details. Im fully capiable of doing the fine details and shading, but I think it might be easier and faster if someone could help me out once I get to that point.
