Start creating or editing now. Dont take this the wrong way, but there's no mastering pixel art.
If you do both at the same time you'll actually make better and faster progress. Especially if you can take criticism well.  The forum is full of people who love doing exactly what you are doing, and they like to help. Poke around Sprite Projects and the rest of the forum and see if anything sparks an interest.

Hello my name is currently Manby This is the first time i've ever actually joined a forum. I grew an interest in MUGEN around the late 2000s but never got to trying it until late last year. I've been lurking this forum since Late last year and that is about it for me so yeah hope this will be interesting.

Hi everyone, how ya'll doin?  I'm Just an old gamer and character creator and from the dos mugen days. It was in the early 2000s that I found out about mugen while looking for characters for kof91 fighting engine. I've only made 1 character for dos mugen and haven't bothered with finishing it or porting over to whatever mugen version that's being used now. I've always wanted get back into mugen again but didn't because of life and other hobbies. I'm only coming back because I was bored and wasn't happy with the games that's coming out so I decided that I should make a game myself insted. I just found out later that electbyte and electbyte forum was gone so I had no other option but to join this community again. There used to be mugen dev back in the the day but when it closed, everybody migrated here. I've join this forum once a long time ago but I forgot my username and password and now I got a new account. When it comes to coding stuff for a character I'm terrible at it and is too lazy to learn everything, the guy that was helping me code was lazy and didn't do much to help out. I was planing on making an accurate port of the character I've made but the task was too great and I lack patience so I ended up releasing it at an unfinished state. please don't ask me who I was from back in the day, I don't want to remember those days and just want to leave it all behind me. I do kind of miss all the oldies that I used to talk to. Would be nice if I can find a great coder (not lazy) and work on another character again. anyways, thanks for huning! umm.. I mean, have a great day.

Morning folks.  My name is Feynt.  I remember playing around with MUGEN like 10 years ago or something.  Today begins the start of a month long class project, and it so happens I'll be doing a fighting character. 

Pray for my sanity, I won't have the time.

I should be joined by my project partner shortly.  Pray for him as well.
