I can already hear GW prepping their overpriced official prefab sets
Nevermind, there's nothing I can do
Bet your life there's something killing you
It's a shame we have to die, my dear
No one's getting out of here alive
This time
What a way to go, but have no fear
No one's getting out of here alive
This time
It's a shame we have to disappear
No one's getting out of here alive
This time, this time, this time

I don't think there's a lot of tabletop players here

at least from the US perspective, I bet you that anyone nerdy enough to have had an interest in mugen more than likely also runs in the same fantasy, rpg, table-top gaming circles

@navets & Abo

wow, was trying something similar with a friend a little while back
I really like the idea

I've played some D&D in my time, though my characters just end up being parodiEs of other characters, cause I'm really bad at being original.

It's hard for me to get through a full campaign though, all my friends that play leave for other places in the summer, but that's the only time I'm available due to university. I ended up reusing the same character 3 times until I finally finish a campaign with him.

So with all this DnD talk that JUST SO HAPPENS to coincide with Ricesnot finishing "animating" his series of RPG streams, it makes me wish that Ricesnot DM'ed everything.

Far Right and basically the establishment are up for round 2 in 2 weeks. Far Right did about a fifth of the population, as usual (though it's a bit on the rise closer to a fourth but that's within expectations these days). Establishment guy isn't really Left or Right, nobody really knows where he stands, but at the very least he doesn't have countless scandals chasing him and he's not an old dude sitting in his sofa doing nothing. Then again, he's only 39, so basically the only thing we really know about him is that he was a banker for Rothschild, and he split off from the current government barely a year ago to create his party - and get here today. On paper, he has something that would have been considered quite progressive 5 years ago but that's become pretty standard and the least they can do at this point, people were expecting a lot more after Brexit and Trump. So he's considered as the option of the establishment (he was the media's golden boy the entire way), but technically he's pretty progressive, only he's not going to save Europe single-handedly. It just means that it'll stay the same, but in a positive way, not in a stagnation way. So at the very least, he won't make Europe implode, so we have that going for us, which is nice.

The big news is that both the Socialist and Republican parties, which have ruled over the country for the last few decades, have been entirely kicked out this time (2002 had the Far Right eject the Socialists which shocked the whole country), the Right is likely going to disintegrate now (the guy running for them was basically asleep most of the campaign anyway, thinking "it's all good, we're the Right, we'll be there either way", it was bound to happen), the Left is still decent and will survive it (they had people who gave some hope to some people, just not the same people) but they're not going to have anyone nearly good enough in the next 5 years (if they make the mistake of keeping the same guy that got beaten today, they'll just disintegrate too). Both sides really need to step up their game big time with new blood, the Right completely missed that train and the Left tried it just now but got bitchslapped again. This time, everybody got the message that the people was fed up with the current system and getting more of the same.

Of course, everybody already knows that the Far Right can't be allowed to pass, almost everyone has already said to obviously vote for the young guy, it's pretty much a given that he's going to be elected. For once, several of the losers went right off the bat with a "there's a difference between a political adversary and an enemy of the Republic, vote against the Far Right", so we're expecting similar results as in 2002 round 2 (the Far Right keeps their 20% and gets curbstomped by the other guy who takes the remaining 80%).

... I'm looking at the result map that's still evolving right now and it's filling up with Far Right being the winner, but the actual numbers show that she barely passed the two big guys from the Left who are right behind her most of the time. It's a bit scary but it looks like it really shouldn't be a big deal.
If I struggled to the end of my determination, to the end of my way of life with my followers, if the result is ruin, then this ruin is inevitable. Grieve. Shed tears. But you cannot regret.

be warned, I heard this very same language from almost every major news outlet and from politicians across lines before our last election
I don't know if voter apathy is as much an issue over there, but it was apparently enough to tip it here

it is, but we've seen it in 2002 already, so we're ready for that on round 2. Also, the thing about our apathy is that it's not a nihilistic, disillusioned or anarchic apathy (like "eh, Clinton won't save the minorities anyway, we're still dead, why bother"), it's really against the same people as always and the fact that no one comes up with new ideas. It's a frustrated abstinence, it's a protest vote in itself, but it's a vote, there's still the fire of curbstomping the far right. 2002 had round 2 scores that made you think this was Russia. All those who didn't vote for her on round 1 will vote against her on round 2, it's a given.

Oh, also, there's no one who really wants to vote against establishment guy, he hasn't pissed off half the country, so it's perfectly viable, most people won't feel too disgusted. That's the good thing about being in his thirties, eh, he hasn't antagonized everyone yet.
The only thing we don't want to talk about is that we know he won't have the balls, brain, or experience to face Trump and Putin, but we'll get there when the mushroom cloud reaches us. Or we're praying Europe will keep enough strength to do something now that we didn't destroy it.

Edit
By the way, there was an attack on the Champs Elysees Thursday night, one gunman killed one policeman and then got killed. Trump immediately claimed it would have a " big impact" on the election.
It had zero effect.

Oh hey, in related fun news, back in February the upcoming winner claimed that there had been hacking attempts aimed at his party. At the same time, Julian Assange claimed to have interesting info about him (nobody cared), also in relation to Clinton. Since today, we now have evidence that the phishing and hacking attempts came from Russia. Good for you, Assange.

I originally found this gem a long long time ago, when youtube didn't have ads, the like/dislike system was a 5/5 grade and the highest possible quality was 360p (and you had to buffer the video for like half an hour).

Anyone knows what happened to these guys? I remember they danced to several anime songs. I think there was another Zelda video were they all end up gang raping a chair.
