Effects are kinda meh.
But the character functions.(this is not to be taken offensively there are a surprising amount of characters in Mugen that don't function.)
So i'l give it a 7/10 maybe an 8/10.
I don't even know why i'm ranking things....the character's good.

why is he so slow? like, his fireballs are slow as heck and his normal are sluggish

also, his kicks cant cancel into fireballs

his sounds are also terrible and overall he does not feel like a haohmaru at all :/

OHHHHHH snap, i cannot wait to try him out, this has been a great week for VS style chracters, we got sanji, piccolo, ton pooh and HAOHMARU.

His sounds cames from original Haohmaru's voice in Samsho games.
For some reason I don't like his voice from CvS2.

He is slow, mostly because of his game source. But I can give a look about this and maybe increase his speed a bit.

About his kicks cancelling into fireballs, I'll gonna give a look about it also.


Effects are kinda meh.

It's kinda hard to find good cps2-old snk styled effects for Haohmaru. I don't want to re-use every CVS2 effects in a VS styled character. I only opened a exception for Haohmaru because there's not any good non-transparent slash effects for him lol

I have to say I´m not familiar with your "VS. Style"
Some quick feedback...

 - why water effects on his super jump?
Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty

 - no landing sound after jumping (unless this is part of your VS. Style, then discard that)
 - typo in the readme... Resshin-Zan is done with B,D,DB + Punch, not D,DB,B + Punch
 - taunt transition back into his stance looks wrong... animation stutters, doesn´t look smooth
 - how can I perform that LEVEL 3 OMEGA COMBO?

That effect comes from X-Men VS. Street Fighter. A personal favorite effect for super jumps.

Well, I don't think landing sound is that much neccessary.. At least for me[the only exception cases is for giant/heavy characters who have a big stomp landing, like Hauzer, Hulk, Blade, etc]

If you see in the readme, the moves who are listed as "*" are level 3 hyper combos.

With "**" is special hyper combos who takes more damage than normal level 3 attacks. Only few characters have this specific level 3[Gouki with Shun-Goku-Satsu, characters with Raging Demon-based attacks, characters who summons one or more characters to help in the attack.. Like the Party Techniques from Project Justice]. If in the readme any move have that double asterisk signal, it's a Omega Combo.

So... Haohmaru has no "LEVEL 3 OMEGA COMBO Holy Shit - This is a Hyper Taunt. It's a joke move but..."

 - TENHA SEIÕ-ZAN is listed as a level 3... but I can do ith with 1 powerbar

Oh, it's because I give a "caption" of what is a regular level 3, or Omega attack or what is a hyper taunt... Maybe my text file didn't separated well the texts.. Crap X_X

And holy shit, I think I overlooked the level 3 bar issue...

Two questions:

Why no air Sempuu Retsuzan and Kougetsu-Zan?

I don't know if its only me, but i can't chain mid/heavy attacks into Kougetsu-Zan and Resshin-Zan, could you please test on your end?

I don't think a aerial sempuu retsuzan could work well... At least not if I consider only that attempt on Samurai Shodown III. Also I didn't find a good animation who could serves to launch a aerial sempuu retsuzan.

About Kogetsu Zan, maybe I can consider to put a aerial version of this attack.. The problem is that move could look kinda awkyard already on air lol
(Since Kogetsu-Zan is somewat a ground-only special move)

About chaining mid/heavy to special moves, lemme test it, anything I'll update him in the next hours.

Chazzanova's Haohmaru has an aerial Senpuu Retsuzan and it worked pretty well. (His Haohmaru had CVS sprites too)

yeah, I think you shoulda looked at his haohmaru since you are using the cvs spriteset and that chazzanova's haohmaru is actually very accurate to the source material. its just so odd that you're making haohmaru so limited in vs style. an air variant for those specials has proven to be doable in cvs2 as well

Aerial Sempuu Retsuzan added.

I've just found a animation who serves as his aerial version of sempuu retsuzan.

But for some reason, the projectile for hp don't go upwards[And quickly disappears] after a long super jump... What could be that issue? -NVM, just adjusted it[updated]

Thanks man! I've just added right now a aerial sempuu retsuzan already adjusted.. For some reason in my end the move was having some problems, but  I adjusted it :)
