No it's just proof that those who crusade to an irrational degree against imagined immorality are almost always horrible people in their own right. It's real easy to believe the world is full of horrible people when you are one. It makes you feel better about yourself. You have to be a halfway decent person to automatically assume that people are generally halfway decent.

I've been reading about this guy.

Even though Amir0x was former moderator and veteran poster, he had been banned over 10 times. He once scammed the forum out of donations allegedly for his sick mother. He was a known junkie. He last ban before this incident was for being having a massive meltdown on election day. lol, how much of a insufferable spastic do you have to be to be banned from fucking NeoGAF for being anti-Trump?

It's subtle but that why I gave NeoGAF the hashtag. But you are correct that "it's just proof that those who crusade to an irrational degree against imagined immorality are almost always horrible people in their own right."  I think a few of other "Gamers are mysoginists/manchildren/virgins" writers got busted too for sexual assault/harassment since then, that Faraci guy for example.

I can't find any of Matt Hickey's articles of that era, he wrote for a half dozen sites apparently Gizmodo, Forbes, CNET, TechCrunch etc. I wanted to compare what accusations he made vs what he actually did himself. I guess I could just dig up anyone's article of the era, thinking back, they were all identical and all mostly wrong too.

Only thing that worries me is that their standard userbase is going to spread to the rest of the popular sites once neoGAF is gone for good. It was also an easy way to find stupid posts since they happened in that one place quite frequently, although their userbase does more damage than good so I'll take the site getting nuked over a good laugh every once in a while.

I absolutely love how all the people who were crying "GAMERS ARE SEXIST" are the ones cropping up with sexual assault charges.

i don't think anyone is deliberately attacking the site, neogaf used to go down all the time whenever big events happened, now the site is getting hammered because everybody wants to take a look at the threads being posted
