Yeah, nothing much but a few titles from Nintendo and a buttload of ports. Maybe one surprise, maybe but ehh.
I'm definitely going to be expecting Fire Emblem to be announced, the timing seems to be ripe for one.
Well. There's Super Smash Bros. Inklings confirmed. Balance is restored to the universe.Man, they gave just little enough to entice debate if this is a port or not. That's clearly Breath of the Wild Link. It's less telling if that's Odyssey Mario. Samus back there is too blurry to tell if she's now the Samus Returns version. The rest are just there. Not much else to go off of for the time being, just happy it's happening. I suppose we know that Inklings will be based on their basic Splattershot and Splat Bomb. Chances are their various B button attacks will involve other weapons, but mainly they're probably going be just shooting like Mega Man, is my guess.Beyond Smash, wow, nothing on Yoshi. This felt like the perfect time to bring that back. Ah well. All this Splatoon love is great. The new Splatoon 2 single-player expansion is precisely what I wanted. Octoling story, more lore. I'm surprised the Crash port turned out to be real, that's awesome. And....come on, a Solaire Dark Souls amiibo? Stop tempting me, Nintendo.
Splatoon in my Smash game, along with a new Smash game?!My body is not ready for this!Must exercise on 3DS and on MUGEN to get ready.
Meh.... Nothing new and exciting....... Mostly ports (Undertale, Captain Toad, Luigis Mansion), and remakes (Wario Ware, Bowser Inside Story), and upgrades of a few games.I don't mind the Smash for the Switch though. But hte direct was mostly thumbs down for me.
Smash is a 2018 release, it can't be a new game. Probably just Smash 4 with inklings, botw Link and few more extra things.
So since we know BotW Link is in this game, time to speculate. Would it be worth losing the older Twilight Princess Link for this one? I feel if it's just a skin, it would not do the character justice, especially as the new outfit's not exactly iconic, you try to lose it ASAP in the game for better gear. Plus previous Link equipment doesn't carry over to the new Link at all.I'd rather they make him a new character with a new movepool. Name him Link, rename the old one we've had thus far to something else (Hero of Time could work, maybe, since BotW is the only time in-game they mention him being canonically called Link? Though then you have all the manga and other sources that state otherwise, of course). Then you can really apply BotW's new mechanics into Smash, with the breakable limited time weapons a la Robin in Smash 4 and all the little tricks that tablet can do like blocks of ice and time stopping.Another issue arises with BotW Link becoming the default one though; what do we do with Ganondorf? He does not have a human form in BotW. We've been stuck with TP Link just so Ganon had a matching counter-part, but now what? I would greatly enjoy a what-if new design for human Ganon like we got with Sheik getting a Twilight Princess design, but that may be asking for too much.

I have doubts this is Smash 5. Feels way to early for it especially with Metroid Prime 4 and Pokemon Switch in the horizon.
I know this is a stretch, but seeing that the Smash logo doesn't look similar to the 3DS and Wii U ones, I don't think it's a straight-up port.Other than that, though, is it bad that most of the things that I wanted to get were ports/collections/remakes? I'm just glad to see a new WarioWare game in some capacity.
I'm satisfied regardless of what others say. Good ports, updated games, and freaking N.Sane Trilogy is coming! I bet PK is full of emotions right now, I bet lots of people feeling emotions.
