Hum. I guess I'm the odd one out, seeing this more like the mess IV had going. Oh well. You know what would be nice, though? Since this appears to be around II's time, I liked the secondary in SCII for Ivy, would nice for that to return.Rather than whatever the deal was with the last two games getting professional outfits designers or whatever to make up the secondary outfits for the cast. I remember them touting that for at least V in magazines how they would get model designers to make outfits for them. Like Bayonetta did with its amusing marketing, though I presume SCV didn't go the extra mile hiring porn stars to dress like them too. Hey, there's still time for this game, Bandai Namco!
Ivy is known to be the sexy, scantly-clad, big-booby lady of Soul Calibur for many years now and I seriously doubt that the fact will change anytime soon. So why are people complaining about Ivy being herself now?

Not all criticism is from SJWs obviously, but it's reached a point where people are tired of being told what they should enjoy and are clapping back. The abomination known as games journalism doesn't help matters.QuoteGameCentral: I know you can’t talk about other characters in the game, but the design and attire of a character like Ivy – whether she’s in the new one or not – are a lot more problematic today than they were when the series began. Is that something you intend to address?Motohiro Okubo: [long pause] I understand that there are different opinions about such characters. So I think what’s most important is how you want to express and design such characters, and not just the female characters. But I still want to keep the body shape and the atmosphere of each character to be the backbone of each character.”

game looks good, used to love SC(dreamcast) and SC2 but this one looks very good, i mean the design of characters, interesting game mechanics,i think it was a good rest for the team(or namco) to left the game for a while and then coming back with better ideas....i stopped playing these series along ago, i remember buying a psx just for soulblade, a dreamcast just for soulcalibur, lucky me when it did go multiplatform with SC2,from 3rd to 5th cared less for SC go from love to hate the series, and now, maybe that love for the game, a game with weapons is coming back as well

Eh. Totally expected, totally not in my interest. I think this is the first guest star I have no inclination to play as in a main Soul game, too. More power to those who are Witcher fans, though. He seems....younger? Than the version I am familiar with, from the third Witcher game, that is. Or it's just how Soul Calibur interpreted him, the same happened to middle aged Ezio last game.
Yeah, I think it is his age from 2 cause he has his one name. Still pretty cool that he's the first guest fighter.
IF anyone is curious as to why.http://www.siliconera.com/2015/06/02/the-witcher-3-sold-through-92-of-its-shipment-in-japan/

It might be 2 going into 3 but it's amazing how releasing on the PlayStation got it more sales there.Edit: Is there hope for a Tales character to be in VI? I liked they put in Lloyd in legends and that was it.
Huh wow, I wasn't sure if he'd make it in cause of the setting.Wasn't he and Nightmare supposed to be one and the same during the time this game takes place?
I imagine Nightmare is now a malfested entity by Soul Edge that it doesn't need a host in the new timeline. Probably will be one with Siegfried at the end of the story.

I do recall the first Soul Edge game (the arcade version which I played somewhere in Canada) had Siegfried in the game. Never got to the final boss because all I did was scrub out with Rock at the time.
