180730Hi.I got bored of my old Alpha Storm for Winmugen and have decided to update it to 1.1 and redo the roster. I scaled up the BG and clouds to reduce the amount of repitition, but left the grass at 100%. Seems to have worked well enough without a jarring difference in resolution. This was the bulk of the work for this, so I'm glad it's out of the way and I can work on UI design elements now.Figured out portrait placement, and how to scale hi-res characters (hooray, it's character/author specific.....)Left to do:Portrait template with source game logos and button layouts.Fonts - more fontsRedesign of the team menusIntro Animations - possibly rescale the old one? I made my own fonts for my Option screen for my Super mugen screen packthese Fonts are not the FNT that you are thinking off. Mugen 1.0 and 1.1 has changed sense you were awaynow Mugen 1.0 and 1.1 support FNT V2 and so you can ether use True type font on your option screen or......you can do what I did and make the fonts from scratch and have it as Bitmap font. Here my Option screen from Super mugen screen pack. this is called Bitmap Font. they use Definition file like a mugen stage and share .SFF when saving on the fighter Factory 3.0.1here the pictureif you do choose bitmap for your option screen here some word of advicebe sure to choose bright color and not Dark color when making a bitmap fonts for your Option screen for mugen 1.0 and 1.1
Well, life got busy as usual lol. This is still on going, but free time is in short supply at the moment. Thanks oldgamer! Yes I do, I made all the fonts for the old AlphaStorm. I've actually resized them already and converted them, but decided to take advantage of the new font engine rendering crisp round edges. I noticed the defs on some of the new default fonts and played around a bit with the colour change. Interesting new feature, I'll have to explore it more. I think they can control the style on an ttf's as well? I'll have to revisit that one.
