I could use a light-hearted anime recommendation, if anyone's got one.

Recently last week I watched through all of Elfen Lied, since I started it ages ago and wanted to finish it now.  It was fairly messed up but a good series.  Wanted to go to something lighter in tone next, and prior to Elfen Lied I saw Sailor Moon so I figured I'd write a series off my list that's been there for a long time and so now I'm just about done with Revolutionary Girl Utena.  Figured a cycle of shonen/shojo to seinen would do well to actually finish some of these.

...Now that I've found out that Utena is an even more messed up show, I'm open to something that's not going to gut me and put my heart on a pike.  I was going to go with some movies next like Paprika and Tokyo Godfathers, but that episode alone has totally soured my mood.

Eh, not my style of humor.  I'm also largely not into most shows that started once digital animation overcame hand-drawn.  Thanks, though.

Yeah LJK, when I watched that show, I needed bleach for my soul. It drained so much out of me, I just wanted to see the rainbow at the end of the tunnel. Also love your choice Speedpreacher.

NIchijou is just a bunch of random jokes, it's just a bet toosee which ones you like and which ones you don't, and to see if you like enough of them to actually enjoy the series (though I still have to met one person that liked helvetica standar); I particularly liked the hakase and android ones and really enjoyed when they killed the main joke of those segments becuase it changed the dynamic of the series a lot.

So, there was a twitter post which says the the first episode of one punch man season 02 will premiere this august 12, and the season will actually start in august 2020. I guess we will soon find out if that is truthful.

This new season has had all the signs of being a complete trainwreck for a while and this announcement doesn't make me feel any optimism.

Also for anybody not hip to the change (or who maybe just forgot), Madhouse is not doing this one. It's a J.C.Staff joint, so expect their usual cost cutting animation tricks.

Which is probably why the only actual animation in that PV is from season 1.

Well,a t least it's not 2020; I hope all teh cahgnes are because  they want to do two coeurs so they are necessary for that.

yeah the moment i saw that the only new thing in that trailer is that poster picture at the end, i knew we're in for a mediocre second season.

the only thing that teaser trailer is teasing is season 1. makes me want to go back and rewatch it.

i don't really get it why angel beats is so popular ... i watched the show years ago but it wasn't anything special. most of the characters are forgettable the only characters i remember is that pink chick with a super annoying voice and a buttplug , white hair t-1000 nagato ripoff  and the obnoxious haruhi ripoff. but i do remember 2 of them the pink girl and haruhi ripoff are both useless in the story.

watched your clip it's a good start, bit short but it's ok , you do talk a bit fast.

Yeah I haven't watched a ton of similar animes like this so I can't immediately tell the inspiration for certain characters and thanks for checking the video I'll try to slow down in the next one
